Hearing Aid Compatibility? - Honor 7X Questions & Answers

Has anyone used/tried 7X for phone calls that use Hearing Aids? Won one & was thinking of giving it to my grandmother, but it has no mention of hearing aid compatibility.
Thanks in advance

At&t tilt, adapter, iphone headset

I recently just bought this adapter for my tilt http://http://www.amazon.com/HTC-3-5mm-Stereo-Headphone-Adapter/dp/B000RU8YKG/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_3http://. And i have an iphone headset that i was planning to use with this. During a call i could hear what the person on the other end of the call was saying quite clearly, but they could not hear what i was saying. What is the issue with this, is it just an incompatible headset? Any answers are welcome. THANKS
Firstly the URL you give doesn't work.
Secondly have you tried it to more than one person and have you tried moving the mike around when talking to someone and also speaking clearly (so many people mumble or shout into wired mike's) there was a rule in teaching wireless use in the Army CLAP (Clear Loud and Precise)
and you would probably be far better off with a bluetooth "talking Ear"

[APP][Q] Awareness! app for Android

This app popped up on Engadget in September & instantly captured my attention.
http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/22/iphone-awareness-app-selectively-filters-outside-noises-into-yo/
What it does is it uses your phone's mic to allow sounds above a certain threshold through to your headphones when you're blasting your music. This would be incredibly helpful for my work, where I sometimes blast my music & don't notice when people are knocking on my cube.
Anyway, the people who developed this app said that they'd release an Android version, but they haven't released any updates since its release. Does anyone know of a similar app in the market? I've searched many times & come away empty.
Anyone interested in developing a similar app?
Thanks!

I've tried that app, but to be honest with you, I have no idea what that is or does. It seems like it's a simple volume profile program a la AudioManager.
What I'm looking for is an app that will feed outside sounds into my headphones. Thanks!
I am interested on this, and found this thread while searching.
I've just posted a question about the feasibility of this on a Galaxy S audio dev thread.
I also emailed Essency, makers of Awareness, to ask about their Android progress.
If it can be done, and Essency don't do it, I will give it a go.
Audio capabilities on Android have been behind iPhone dramatically until 2.3 where things got better.
I doubt it will be possible to have direct monitoring of the mic working across all phones, but it should be possible to do it in the digital domain, but there may be latency compared to the iPhone version.
Update:
Example of feeding the input buffer to the playback buffer:

Android Awareness!
Hi Guys,
thanks for the interest in Awareness, I just want to confirm an Android version is currently in production.
I apologise for the delay, we originally intended to release an Android version last year but our developers advised at the time that it just wasn't possible to come up with one version that was compatible with all handsets.
There are 2 reasons why there is nothing comparable on the market at the moment, firstly, as easy as the concept sounds, its not that easy to implement on any handset (iOS or Android), there are quite a few technical challenges to overcome that elongate development and seriously challenges its viability from a commercial standpoint. We could have had different 9 apps in the time it took to develop Awareness...
Secondly, we applied for a worldwide patent on Awareness nearly 2 years ago to protect the significant investment and hard work that's gone into making it a reality.
So please be patient a little longer, its been a long haul for all of us but I promise you will not be disappointed with the results.
In the meantime if any of you have any suggestions or tips regarding Android, don't hesitate to get in touch, they'd be much appreciated.
Alex

I want the "hello" sound on the US Cellular "hello better" commercial

I want the "hello" sound on the US Cellular "hello better" commercial
I've googled extensively but found either no link or dead links. I want the sound that you hear at the end of the US Cellular commercials (most recently those holiday commercials with the carolers) where the voice sings "Hello hello". However, I need it without the voiceover that is going on in the commercial. Can anyone help me find this? Maybe it's a startup sound for US Cellular phones? Thanks very much for any help on this.
Thanks for the move, hopefully someone will find this sound for me.

Bluetooth Hearing Aid Support in Android P?

I've seen some internet posts suggesting that Android P will (or may) support Bluetooth hearing aids, previously only compatible with iOS. Has anyone heard about that or have any information? I'm running DP4 on my rooted unlocked Pixel XL and can find nothing in the menus that suggests hearing aid support. For those of us with a hearing disability this would be wonderful news!

Honor Band 5 and Firewall / Privacy

Hey guys!
I'm interested in above watch, buuuut I'm VERYVERYVERY concerned about using online-services or sharing my personal health-data with some company (and whomever they sell this precious data, like insurances).
Haven't found any info so I'd ask the pros here:
Is it possible to effectively firewall the watch so it works but doesn't send anything anywhere from the phone? Or will it simply stop working like I would expect it to?
Thanks guys!
