Hello,
I have HTC Desire 816 Dual Sim HTC__J15 [ not 816G and not 816W ]
my Rear Camera and flashlight not working anymore
I guess it's because i've flashed incorrect RUU firmware [ this one ]
i tried to clear cache, install another RUU, another camera app, another ROM
my front camera is working fine
I checked /sys/ for android_camera sensor folder was not found while my android_camera2 exists
I couldn't create a folder inside /sys/
It's mounted as r/w but always fail to create folder
I also tried chmod 777 and mkdir but still not working
Camera sensors should be :
My camera sensor is OmniVision ov13850 13.0M.
My camera2 sensor is Samsung s5k5e_onelane 5.0M.

I cannot find any stock ruu for this device, kernel problem? Any ideas?
There is no ruu, go to the general section here and look for the stock backup collection thead. Read it.....completely......twice ..... and follow the guideline !

Hello all,
I received an HTC One M8 from a buddy of mine who said that after installing CM11 (which turned out to be GPE) he had the encrypted partition error. I got that all sorted out and now I can boot into any rom I want, however there is no rear facing camera. App launches, and just quits out after it can't start the camera (hardware?). The app launches and you see all the icons, if you're fast enough, you can switch it to "selfie" mode...and that works fine. Does anyone have any ideas? Need more info?

Could you upload a logcat when you open the camera app?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app
Here is the output displaying ONLY the errors from the time I hit the camera app.

I take it happens on every rom you flashed? And did you flash a custom kernel?
Yep, no matter the ROM, and negative on the kernel. Just which ever kernel that comes with the ROM I install.
Anyone else have any ideas?
I have a problem with a htc one x i think its a chinese one - endeavortd). After a factory reset imei dissapeared. Tried to flash some roms via TWRP but always stuck on logo. Hello,
My desire 816 has suddenly started giving problems every few seconds it pops up with HTC Home sense stopped followed by other google services also stopped.. Though I am able to boot up but am not able to sync contact , gmail or even pick up calls(the screen is not displayed)
Rebooting, Unlocking bootloader and reflashing with recovery_stock image has not worked . Flashing with 0P9CIMG.img failed due to error : remote 2 data length is too large..

Need help to make it operational again. Could someone give right files and process to make it operational again
Deteriorating the problem further........, when the flashing failed via PC I had now tried flashing it by copying the file 0P9CIMG_A5_DWG_M60_DESIRE_SENSE70_MR_hTC_Asia_India_3.14.720.1_Radio_1.31.50.1215_CNV_India_3.07_09B_release_469284_signed_2_4.zip (renaming it as 0P9CIMG) file to sd card.. and yes it started.. but after System ...OK .. it stopped with error image too large and process halted .. reboot.. rebooting has now made me stuck on the HTC logo screen .. restarting , hard reset nothing is working
Could someone help to recover my HTC 816 dual SIM
