I wanted to find a way to either move the whole system to the SD card or to increase the Internal memory using the SD card.
I found a guide here explaining how to increase the internal memory using SD card, but after following the instructions to the T my phone hangs up on the white screen with HTC logo every time.
To make matters worse, the partitioned portion of the SD card cannot be seen in windows explorer when I try to access the SD via CWM, only the portion that was left over. I fear that since this problem occurred right after I installed cm-7-20120717-UNOFFICIAL-marvel recovery over the previous CWM I had and the Data2SDInstallerNXE2 I'm speculating 1 of 2 things have occurred: Either the Unofficial CWM is corrupted (All functions work properly inside recovery) or an error occurred where the system files were not properly copied into the newly created partition and so it tries to boot system from empty space.
I'm at a total loss where to go from here. I don't know of any free programs that can see all the partitions of the SD card where Windows cannot, let alone unpartition it, and even then how to set it back up to where it boots up where it needs to. I've tried to reinstall the previous CWM I had via zip installer but it give an "Installation Aborted".
Someone plz halp! lol
Ok, I found that under SD partition in CWM if you select different partition size it will remove the old partition, this still doesn't fix the hangup though.
Now it doesn't hang up, but keeps going back to bootloader screen. I think I should stop before it get worse and wait for a response. XD
Tried flashy method in an attempt to set phone back to locked and unrooted status. Only thing it did was set phone in relocked status. I'm taking a break for awhile, spent too many hours on this ><

Instead of the Data2sd provided in the tutorial, try using INT2EXTV2+(You can easily find it using the search function).....Do remember to flash it after the flashed rom has booted once
Also, you can not see the second partition of the SDCard on Windows...........Windows doesn't support it(EXT partitions)

Ok, so as the current state of the phone, do I just wipe everything and then run CWM, reboot it then when it comes up again install Int2extv2+ from zip, that's it? Does the relock prevent me from taking the steps neccessary from getting back into the phone? and if so what would I need to do to unlock it again when I only have access to fastboot/bootloader/CWM?

Unlock the Bootloader, get into CWM, wipe, flash the rom of your choosing, let it boot once, then go back to CWM and flash INT2EXTV2+

Ok, so here is what I've done:
Re-unlocked √
Wipe date/Factory Reset √
Wipe Cache Partition √
Flashed cm-10.1-20130703-4.3-F-NIGHTLY-marvel √
Reboot System Now (Hangs on HTC white screen) - pulled battery out to turn off
Went back into bootloader -> CWM and installed INT2EXTV2+ via zip installer (selected no for SWAP2INT) √
Reboot - Hangs on HTC white screen. X
Here is a question, would S-ON affect this in any way? I've done the partial S-off procedure (which was recommended to me) but the bootloader still says S-On. If it needs to be completely off and shown as S-off would you show me a proper procedure link for me get that taken care of (but only if absolutely necessary)?
I really appreciate your help so far.

I tried all those roms and same error, which leads me to believe that the rom isn't the problem.
However, all of that is irrelevant now, as I gave it to someone who said they knew how to fix it and they bricked it completely, so I just told him to keep it. lol

U have marvelc no marvel mobile
Try with fastboot flash custom rom (boot.img,system.img, and recovery.img)
But dont forgot before factory reset.
U will have custom rom mobile, and worked mobile
If u can change rom, u must find marvelc roms, and first try cm7 rom
I too start with this rom (cm7)
I am new to Roms but not to computers but I am having an issue with my ATT Note 2. I did a OTA update to KitKat and the phone booted to black screen. I flashed it with a stock KitKat Rom(i317-cwm-ucucne5-rooted-deodex) but it has so many bugs(Google play does not work says stopped responding, and all programs report not responding after one day of operations) that it is not operational. I have installed CM11, DN3_v5_N7105_by_E-Team and NOTEorious_Prime_RC_1.5 and they all get stuck at loading screen.
I am currently running i317-cwm-ucucne5-rooted-deodex. Kernal 3.0.101-india-v4.2.4-OC-LTE-KitKat AGNI @psn-pureSTOCK #1. Please let me know what I can do or need to check in order to get a successful Rom Running.

Not sure what recovery your using to flash your Roms. But sometimes they will get stuck at the Samsung screen. Also it's recommended you wipe your internal storage B4 flashing Dn3 if you, didn't do that the first time around...
Most of the time rebooting back into recovery and flashing the Rom again (no wiping) would make it boot. You can try flashing Dn3 again and try what I said it should boot up.
Also try using PhilZ recovery, cause twrp latest recovery is having a few issues.
I'll help you a lil bit.
PhilZ recovery here> http://goo.gl/2xlUCO
Twrp recovery here> http://goo.gl/yjUR7w
Find your device model# in the list and download it.
Further Issues
I got a stock Jellybean 4.1.1 rom to boot and run but the issue I have is that the internal memory only allows me to access the applications folder. I can download apps to the phone but it will not allow any other access to the internal sd card. No apps can access the memory, Gallery and internet apps give the insuffecient space error whenever they try to access memory. I have tried the terminal commands "su echo mkdir /storage/sdcard0 >/data/local/userinit.sh chmod 700 /data/local/userinit.sh reboot" but I get a "can't create data/local/userinint.sh: Permission denied" error even though I am rooted.
AT&T Samsung I317
Android 4.1.1
Kernal 3.0.31 - 215287
Storage shows:
Total Space 0.00b
Applications 772MB
when connected to windows the phone memory can be clicked but goes to a blank page that no information can be added to.
When trying to open Gallery error shows:
"Not enough space. Delete Unnecessary items, such as downloaded software, pictures, videos and documents."
Not sure what happened. My tablet is showing No OS in TWRP. I haven't installed or done anything to it recently. I just went to turn it on the other day and it wouldn't boot.
For the past hour I've unsuccessfully been trying to flash the factory images in flashboot. I tried using Wugfresh's nexus root toolkit, but I get an error when it tries to flash the images. **FAILED (remote: flash write failure)**
I've attempted to adb side load, but the internal storage fails to mount. the device is unlocked. I've also attempted to fastboot manually but I'm trying to do the system now and it's been "erasing" for about 10 minutes.
I've attempted to us TWRP to repair and it fails, it also fails to format the partition.
My device dead?
It does not look good but luckily your tablet is unlocked and more options are available. Please post your logs.

Ok. Attached is the dmesg. I was getting access is denied b/c Windows 10. Had to write the file to another folder.
When I try to run the second command I get an I/O Error.
Hello,
I'm a bit lost, here is my problem:
I have an international LG G3, I switched to LineageOS from official ROM 10 days ago. Everything was working fine, until yesterday when at some point, whithout doing anything special, my phone froze as I hit the Home button.
It froze for quite some time, so I removed the battery and now I have the pleasure, each time that I start the phone to see the great LG logo that doesn't move...
My phone isn't root (didn't install the su addon) and though I can boot in TWRP recovery mode, I don't see any file and all my reboot options mention "No OS".
I tried to sideload lineage to flash the new version but it doesn't work, push neither (and I have no SD - it kept unmounting itself).
I tried to connect with LGUP to go stock, but I guess since it's not root, it isn't recognized, and I don't know how to root it as I can't access it.
So here I am, stuck, without much idea of what to do next, I would be thankful if someone knew how to fix this issue one way or the other!
EDIT: Any try to solve the issue failed as I get the same prompt : Failed to mount /xxxx, or : Unable to mount storage.
Thanks in advance!
I had the same situation like you. Your data got corrupted. There's no way to actually restore your files, at least I couldn't do that with help of my mates. All you need to do is eject your SDCard, wipe every partition and:
repeat all steps for /system, /data and /cache - select only one partition, click on Repair or Change File System and these click on Repair File System then Change File System to F2FS and immediately change it back to ext4 and Repair File System once again.
And then wipe every partition once again.
If you need more help, message me on telegram.

Hello and thanks for your message,
I tried your procedure but for each partition, I get a bunch of "Failed to mount", "Unable to wipe", "Unable to repair".
I don't care about the data, all I want is to have my phone running, I tried to "Format Data" within TWRP, doesn't work either.

please try once again with this TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-0-0-t3309475

Yes, I tried with LG Flash Tool, it's the same as LGUP, in both case my phone isn't recognized (I can see my phone on my computer but it contains nothing).
I can't install this TWRP, first technique I can't find the file in my folders (though I could push it with adb), second i can't do "su".
(with the current TWRP - 3.1.1.1 - I can't change the file system)
if you have sdcard, you can put the file here and then flash recovery.img via recovery

Now I managed to flash something with this qualcomm utility (firmware files extracted from 30B KDZ, all other from 10 version were not responding) and I can have access to either:
- "Firmware Update" screen in DL mode, though I can't flash any stock ROM I found (I tried several DLL and TOT, I get "Model check fail" or some issue with the LAF: my guess is that it may be due to the fact that the recovery I managed to put is 30B and the the TOT I have is 10B so something doesn't work?);
- and on recovery mode I can access to Fastboot mode, but a not very efficient one as for some reason whenever I give a fastboot command it do much, the command run on the computer, then I get the output ". . ." in the command line, and the terminal stay in this state doing nothing...

You probably missed some steps, with flashing all the partitions, you must flash them in given order, and you must use the same kdz, 10e...try it again from scratch.
Mine g3 is still fully functional, so it's worth a try.
yeah, my phone did fully recover too. where you did you get your stock files? maybe you downloaded wrong files? I mean they're corrupted or something

I'm facing some permissions problems and thus being unable to install Paranoid Android Q5. I was using MIUI 12 (Xiaomi.EU).
The steps I took to change the ROM:
Formated data (errors started right away) then I did the usual wipes (cache, dalvik, data)
Whenever I try to wipe or format data I get error messages like: Error opening /data/XXX (Operation not permitted).
System is always mounted read-only no matter what I try and after I install any ROM many of these error messages pop up.
Orange Fox gives some error about key.
Flashing of the ROM suceeds, but system cannot boot, loading screen forever.
Can anyone point me some directions?
Thanks in advance and sorry about any possible bad grammar.

I still had those problems. I don't know if it is a problem with the TWRP or something similar. Is there any progress to solve this problem? Format data ..(backup first if u need ) .. the boot to recovery again ... Should decrypt the data ... Worked for me ...
I am having this exact problem.
Under internal storage (sdcard) I see a bunch of hashed folders I cannot open.
Format data returns a multitude of "Error opening '/data/somefolder/asdf/asdf' (Operation not permitted) and marks the wipe as Failed. The attempted formatting also mentions "E:Error making /sdcard/Fox directory: Required key not available." "Failed to unmount '/data' (Device or resource busy)
I can wipe anything except Data. I also tried downgrading to 12.0.1 firmware but it does not fix it for me.
The ROM can be booted into, and magisk managed to be installed, but no google apps were installed.

I tried this, but no luck on my side.
Recovery download link on description. Only for Note 8/8T.
I flashed it with fastboot and works fine!
A problem like this was the one I had since TWRP had the device encrypted but it did not inform me and it did not give me any sign that I had to write a password (password that I have no idea what it is).
What I did so that it did not give me an error was to install Orangefox and while there delete everything and install a file of these that I got from google.
I had to try one by one and restart to see if it asked me for a password in orangefox, luckily one worked and it no longer asked me to decrypt the files and I could install the rom and gapps normally

if you need to do something to system or vendor go to ofox menu/mount and choose what partition to mount

Can't wipe it still, I already try the Mount > ✓ Vendor ✓ System.. but in formatting it say's "Cant Mount the....blah..blah.."
I try to uncheck the "Mount System vendor, system as read-only" from the settings of mount.. but for some reason, if you go back to Mount options again, you can't check the system, vendor now

Yes, I need it to flash a ROM
try this it worked
Had the same issue.
1. I installed twrp via ADB
2. Restarted to recovery mode into twrp
3. Installed the latest OrangeFox and restarted into recovery again.
4. It asked me for a password which is the pin I set then proceeded to format data.
5. After formatting data I restarted again to recovery.
Then I was able to install custom roms.
I am using derpfest Android 12 on my Poco x3 pro. I want to install magisk.zip through orange fox recovery installed on my phone. But I am not getting storage data on recovery, only a fox folder is there. Can somebody tell me is it a glitch or any Android 12 restrictions or something.
