So I took some very nice pictures and want to share them but when I do the picture quality is terrible! Any fix for this

If using Viber or FB messenger its like that, media is compresed and not good at all. Use Bluetoth, Google Drive or Google Picture to share.

Try uploading the media content in a cloud, goggles or gully drive, then share a link to the desired content. Media content will be of excellent (not original quality) which is a guarantee that it is compressed by the chat application. Typically, all such applications are compressed, and this can not be changed because users generate massive traffic from the media, and if it is of excellent quality, it will overload the servers I suppose. If someone allows sending the original size of the media, he will be willing to pay for it.
Best way for now is upload to Cloud and share link to you people.
Use the pulse app and change the mms size in the setting option.

It's because Google Messages is not good. I noticed it as well so i've been using ChompSMS. Chomp and Textra are great.

You can't. Support was removed back in 2.3.x for the Nexus S. Issues with Facebooks use of Google API's & local storage of contact data or something along those lines. Should be plenty if you search - either on XDA or on the wider intewebs.
Thank you

whoa whoa whoa...
let's say I have all important people in my google contacts. I have manually related every one of them to corresponding facebook contacts so that essentially I could see their FB profile photo.
seriously, cannot that be acomplished using GNex??

Don't fret folks. There are other options. I use Contapps. It has a feature to sync HIGH QUALITY facebook pictures. You're going to have to go with the pro version.

+1, I dont get it. I have filters in the 6 photo apps I already have on my phone. Any picture/screenshot taken/downloaded is already instantly uploaded to Photobucket, and Dropbox and Google+ does this as well. If I want to share there is already a share button that offers much more functionality than any share Instagram can have.. What is so special about this app?

Its the sharing community in itself. Much like a lot of people didn't get twitter at first. My girlfriend doesn't have Facebook, twitter, or Google+ she's always hated social networks but she absolutely loves instagram.
I've noticed she gets quite a good amount of commentson her instagram photos. Yea you can post photos on any other social network but it isn't front and center. You'll just be another link in a sea of status updates whereas instagram is all photos all the time.
Why limit yourself to 140 characters when a picture is worth a 1000 words?
That should be instagrams slogan. I should pitch the idea to them lol

So it's a social network where you only post pictures, no statuses, no links?. Are all pics completely public or private or can you choose individually?

Its 100% photo driven. You can do a small description with the picture and tag people. I kind of think its like the photos aspect of tumblr + twitter follow/following + hipstamatic filters. It reminds me of a bit of flickr or what it could've been had they gone mobile with their community earlier.
Its definitely not for everyone but ill give it a try when it comes to android.
Also I'd assume there's an option to make the pictures private only to approved people (followers).

I downloaded it on the iPad and looked around.. Skrillex had some cool pics up. None of my fb "friends" had actual pics up and only a handful of them had accounts, all girls. It was okay I guess but I still dont really see the point. Its like Google+ for pictures, it may be better than facebook (pictures), but without the user base its useless to me.

Definitely all dependant on how many people you know on it. It seems most of my friends are on it. But then again they're all on iPhones mostly so they actively use instagram.

Pretty sure iPhone lets you share any photo you take to the usual social networks. Instagram is just a community built around people who like taking indietastic photos with filters. I know you can already upload photos to a million places...but for example if I upload a photo to Google+ even with me being in 1000+ circles I'll maybe have 1 comment on it. My girlfriend on instagram with 76 followers will have atleast 5 comments.

Nah iDevices wont let you share to the fb, which is the big one imo. You have to go into the fb app and upload it.
I love how Android lets you share to any app installed on the device.
Instagram is now out

I had this too. Edit the contact and make sure you're using the high res photo from haxsync. Mine were defaulting to the low res from friendcaster.

Go into your contact, click on edit contact then click in your contacts photo you can choose haxsync photo from within that.

It is a good suggestion but does not answer the OP's question. Will this program overwrite the contact pictures from Google to Facebook?

Exactly -- I already have Facebook pics tied to my contacts -- the question is how do I force the phone to use them as the primary pics? HTC does this already...
Go to a contact hit menu then set as default then you can select which image is the default. Facebook contact sync does this automatically

HaxSync will do this for all your contacts. If it misses some, you can go in and manually join the contacts. The other nice thing about HaxSync is that it will use hi-res pics instead of the lame low res default.

Just grabbed this and will try -- yay for leftover Play Store credit from my Nexus 7!
Update: Looks like that worked -- and the pics look much better!
Sorry if this had been asked, I'm running omega ver 7 on my T mobile s4, everything works flawlessly except camera. It takes photos well, and i preview them and they look fine. But when I share them in Facebook, messages, Google drive, or anywhere else the image quality gets much worse, and even blurry, it's almost like it coverts it to a lower megapixel photo. Anyone had this happened? Any suggestions?

I am running omega7 on m919 with no issues on camera what so ever. sharing pic on facebook, mms, google drive, dropbox, etc, etc. did you change any settings? what's your setup? what kernel you running?
I did not mess with the settings, running kt kernel. Did you try pinching to zoom after sharing the photo? Sometimes is not as noticeable until you zoom in.

pictures that i want clear on facebook get resized first on photoshop and then i click on "high quality" in the fb options.
for messaging, if i need the picture clear i just use dropbox and send them the link to the original image.
dropbox > google drive...just saying
