Hi Guys,
Noticed these new accessories for Nokia but was thinking they should work with the Samsung Galaxy S3 (when we get the wireless charging case). What do you think?

Pretty cool. But there still missing a magnetic plate in the S3. Therefore, wireless charging won't work. Unless you DIY yourself.
The S3 has an optional wireless charging battery door - and it uses the same Qi tech as Nokia, so it should work just fine. The NFC part may not be as easy, but the Tagstand tasker could solve that too.
I very much doubt any NFC stuff will work. It uses proprietary tag formats.

There is another Nokia NFC speaker http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nokia-Unive...rround/dp/B005LBCFCE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
One of the comments on there says now with Android Jelly Bean it works natively. However even if it didn't in this article it also describes how using a couple of apps you can make it work http://anders.tonfeldt.se/?p=1392
Get wireless speakers/headphones and put an NFC sticker on them.
Get a wireless charging matt and put an NFC sticker on it.
Probably a lot cheaper than what Nokia will want for a novelty product with NFC already included.
Hi all,
Has anyone had success with using a Square Reader to take credit card payments on the Zenfone 2? I can't seem to get it to read the card, despite seeing the notification that the phone recognizes a "headset" is plugged in.
s7 edge charges wirelessly in a note 7 samsung battery Backpack & a note FE doesn't??
Hey, not exactly an expert with smartphones, but have sold phone accessories for the past couple of years. Due to this I obviously noticed that there was an awful lot of note 7 accessories selling extremely cheaply. So I thought id get a not FE as it has the exact same dimensions and could get some excellent accessories for it (seriously, this was my primary motivation for buying the phone). Unbeknownst to me Samsung has blocked its not 7 accessories from working with the note FE, absolute nightmare. Petty and childish if you ask me.....
unfortunately I had already purchased a note 7 backpack for my FE which clearly does not work, however if I sit a galaxy s7 edge in it, it charges fine, just like any qi charger. This makes me think that if I root the note fe the backpack may work with it?
Is this correct or am I completely wrong?
If anybody has any experience of using the note 7 backpack with a rooted note fe it would be great to hear from you. I will happily root the phone just to use the backpack, plus the Korean preinstalled apps are annoying.
Thanks in advance for any help which is greatly appreciated
Yes. That would be the case. It's not that the accessories won't work with the note FE. Note FE actually supports it, it's just that it is disabled from the software. You can root and take a look if you can re enable it again. I dunno if there is thread talking about it, but you can look it up. Good Luck
Check it with new software update which is comes recently i mean on oreo weather it charge or not with this software
Never got the chance to use Note 7's wireless charging case, however s6 edge+'s wireless charging cover works fine, so it's probably disabled from software, also where were you able to buy the case, the ones i found were either ridiculously expensive or not on stock.

XDA member, KAL26, and me noticed that if note FE put normally in the "note 7 OEM battery case", it will charge for a few seconds, then show wireless charging paused, but if the phone put in plastic back case like that show in the attached photos, and rested perpendicularly on the OEM note 7 charging case, (or at particular angle; see attached photos) the phone charges with no issues or interruptions
I think samsung has changed the position of the wireless receiver in note FE, Or
another possibility is that note FE is able to detect the note 7 OEM battery case by particular sensor(s) (most probable magnetic field sensor) and forced wireless charging to puse. if this idea is true, then one can make the OEM battery case works by disabling such sensor(S) using certain apps such as ([XPOSED] Sensor Disabler) from google play, but unfortunately, this app needs rooted device, my device is un-rooted thus i can't check this idea
waiting for expert explanations and opinions
Did you update your Note-FE to Android 9? In my opinion, this battery case can only be used on Note FE which run on Android 7......
I tested my Note-FE which could use this back pack with no issues and ran on Android 7 ,but my machine couldnāt use this because my device usually run on Android 8,Android 9 or Android 10 !
Hi, hoping to find a possible reason for this concern.
I have a Samsung A6 Plus mobile phone and a samsung galaxy watch connected via bluetooth. I recently bought a Redmi Airdots wireless earphone but everytime I pair the airdots and play music, my samsung galaxy watch disconnects. Any possible reason for this?
Thank you so much.
Hi Guys,
Let's talk about the external DAC.
Afordable, or not...
I don't want to use wireless solution for several reason but this is not the point here.
My favorite :
Ibasso DC01
Unfirtunatielly not compatible with Samsung Galaxy devices. Wiring of the USB-C connector is not fully respected by Samsung.
Some says that it will work on some European devices (Exynos).
It will be soon available as unbalanced under reference ibasso DC02.
Same issue ?
Sonata HD cable II
Review here
I've read everything and anything on this one. I don't know what to think about it. More over it's unbalanced.
Clone from Tempotec

I have the Ibasso DAC and will be disappointed if this will not work with the Note 10. I have the Sonata and the Cozoy as well so will be trying them on the N10+ too. I prefer to use the iBasso for the Balanced connection. Does this mean it doesn't work with the Note9? My wife has this phone. I will try the Ibasso on that tonight.

I just tried the Ibasso DC-01 with my wife's Note9 (Qualcomm CPU). I have used it with PowerAmp and Tidal and it seems to be working fine.
Can I clarify that the Ibasso has not been working with Samsung phones or just with the Note 10?
I have ordered the Note 10+, but have assumed that the Ibasso will work with the N10+ as well.

It seems that they have issue with S9 S10 N9 and N10.
Not all devices are impacted.
See attachment.
Regarding ibasso, a French test website said to have had the problem with 50% of devices. Including S9 S10 and Note9.
Samsun was able to solve the problem via software for other DACs, but they can not do it for ibasso.
This French website advice to test the ibasso before buying.
Dac amps
I came across this usb dac by Dunu at a hifi show recently. Looks similar to the Ibasso, but was unbalanced. I did not catch the model number. I think it will be released soon as well

Few months ago I purchased TempoTec Sonata HD Hi-Res dongle from Amazon and actually was the first person to review them. Basically it is the same as Hidizs, just re-branded. Actually Hidizs was selling the TempoTec dongle. I asked them what is the difference between your Hidizs and TempoTec, their reply was "basically same thing..." The reason I went with TempoTec, as it was $19.99 and Hidizs that time was $29.99. Now Hidizs went over $40, not cool

Re: ibasso DC-01
I finally got the N10+ (Qualcomm) today
Have managed to try out the ibasso dc-01 dac this evening.
Crossing fingers, but so far no issues with it on the N10+.
I have used Power-Amp, Tidal and UAP Pro and all the apps have behaved with the dac.
Haven't encountered anything unusual.

Not noticed battery drain, but perhaps will see how it is tomorrow after a full charge and spend the day with it.
I have not installed any ibasso app, but have volume control with the N10.
I had to set hardware volume with UAPpro and volume works in bit perfect mode fine. Listening to Tidal with UAPpro as I type. Been great so far.
First thing first, I am not an audiophile!
Instead of paying the Type-C to 3.5mm Adapter for SS (no stock here anyway), bought the iBasso dc02
- plug and play as expected, no issue
- volume is louder, and clearer
- RHA T20
- Have not tried the iBasso UAC
Tested on:
Samsung Note10+ (Samsung Music Player)
Huawei Honor Note 10 (VLC)
Time to trash the Type C to 3.5mm adapter!
**** ...
i got the Ibasso DC02 for my note 10+ exynos and it didn't work ... audio came out from the phone speakers and the Ibasso UAC doesn't see it either ...

faulty unit? Have you tried it on other devices?
I already bought this one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Soditer-Adapter-Headphone-Realtek-Earphone/dp/B07MHH14M5
Planning on getting Note 10 at some point in November.
Works with Samsung
Just need to restart phone with DAC connected. I am jealous of the people who got it to work. Mine doesn't auto detect the DAC. But if I connect it and restart the Note 10 sees it just fine.
I had an email about the following the other day and maybe of interest:
ZuperDAC-S: True Portable HiFi USB-DAC.
I would not normally depends on the phone music because most of the mobile phones now are designed to work in games and movies or other type of entertainment except audio. If you like quality music try to use Chord Mojo, Chord Hugo or Other external DAC. I would prepare to buy a separate music player if you love music instead of depending on mobile phones. There are many decent Music player in the market that you can buy, if you like there are quality Astell and Kern Products like SR15 A&norma it just 799 USD and I heard there a sale on other stores like Amazon. If you cannot afford it try buying Fiio like X1 or X3 its cheaper but good quality music as compared with mobile phones. Another advantage is the battery of your phone won't worn out easily because you don't need to charge it from time to time.
Doesn't work
My dc02 doesn't work on oneplus 7 android 10 and huawei 6x my app is uapp and hiby
It work for Arround 1minute and then it make some noise
When i replug the dac it play music Arround 1 minute again
This works out of the box dedicated headphone jack, and up to 7.1 surround when used in VLC and Kodi. ?

Solution to USB-C Woes
Guys do not fret. There are two workarounds that I've discovered. One of them which is the recent more permanent one relied on talking to the right person at the right moment. Thanks to that person from Samsung Philippines.*
First, the temporary workaround was mentioned here. Keep it connected while rebooting and the system will detect it automatically.
For the permanent solution here it is:
1. Clear the USB settings of your Android device. Settings, Apps, Show System Apps, search USB Settings tap clear cache and clear data.
2. Perform a soft reset. In some phones power and volume down button.
Should now work without restarting it while it is plugged in. Tried plug and unplug multiple times. It now works!*
Hope this helps everyone! Pls post this solution on* social media.
