I've been wondering about the port as nokia is low on its resources (GHz and RAM) and sailfish os is low on requirements to hardware. So what are you guys thinking? is it a good idea to port it for a daily use or better just to use nokia x interface and stop wondering?
salfish os wil b available for nokia xl ?
How smooth is it compared to android?

Jolla says it should be available for android devices as separate launcher and OS as a whole but doesn't state whether it will be available for all smartphones or just specified bunch of them

My friend had a tizen phone. He threw it away after a month. So I think its not worth porting. Maybe Ubuntu Touch or something else might be interesting

IMO Sailfish OS is a more interesting OS to port since it has Jolla behind it as an active developer and also I like SFOS' Ui.
Ubuntu Touch / UBPorts is more like a dead end and K doubt that you will find that much developers for supporting the OS with apps.
Plasma Mobile is also another interesting one but in its current state it is afaik Ubuntu Touch with a Plasma Desktop but it may will support SFOS and Nemo apps in the future which would give it quite a good amount of apps.
Yes please port sailfish os to our zuk z2
Hi!
I bought Pixel XL to my collection of phones and i was wondering of there would be an option someone would develop some non-android ROM for this device. Sailfish OS or Ubuntu Touch, which now has it's GSIs going on.

You can currently get ubuntu touch on the pixel xl. There is a lot you have to do to get it to work. Check it out here:

I’m in the market for a new phone and would like to use LineageOS or possibly GrapheneOS and I like the security of the Pixel 3+ line. I need the fingerprint reader, so Pixel 4 line isn’t really an option, so I’m considering Pixel 3/3a XL or the 5. What I’m wondering is whether any developers are gearing up to support Pixel 5 LineageOS and what opinions are on the likely timeframe for that given the recent flood of support for the Pixel line. Are we talking weeks, months, or a year before it’s realistic to run LineageOS reliably on the Pixel 5? What’s been the timeframe for other new phones in the past?

Pixel 5 ships with android 11. So there will be no official lineageOS as long as 18.x isn't officially released. Maybe next year.

Thanks! Does that mean it would be impossible for LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10 based) to work on a Pixel 5 or that it’s unlikely that anyone would bother wasting their time on a short lived endeavor?
hello I have a request, what is the best rom for pixel 6 pro which has no google services but has all the unique features of pixel from the original rom ? Best regards

Can't have all unique features from a Pixel without any Google Services.
Or maybe microG is enough ?

No. All the Pixel features are tied to the proprietary versions of Gapps, not even MicroG will achieve what you're looking for, it's worth have no Pixel features yet no Gapps at the same time, or Pixel features, but have most of the Gapps, there's no other combination of those 2 is possible.
What features will I lose by installing a custom rom?
Pretty much everything that makes a Pixel a Pixel. Even roms that try to preserve features feel kind of half-assed or have security-minded priorities that prevent Google functions altogether.
Stick with stock.

Not everything. The key features that make a pixel a pixel are;
- unlocked bootloader,
- upstream (AOSP) support.

Where do people come up with these stupid names?
ask the developper of the rom.
ScorpionRom not available on Pixel 6 pro so it should not be listed in the subject line
Actually I know of a Feb build of Scorpion Rom that exists for P6P. If you're in the right TG groups you'll trip over many things. I'm not sure if it's official or not. It's been a minute since I saw the link
ProtonAOSP and Kirisakura Kernal are the fastest I've ever felt a phone no joke.
Even with a bunch of magisk modules AND Xposed modules, usually any android phone I've customized to this points starts at least micro jittering.
