Hello everyone.
I am looking more specifically for ROM and Kernel for Lollipop 5.1.1 for Tab S 8.4 klimtwifi, more specifically for:
* the latest Ezio84 SlimLP for T700 (klimtwifi)
* the latest Deathly Kernel.
I searched everywhere but apparently being 3-4 years old they were removed from every download link. And as much as I like the current Android 7 options, I just can't feel the same responsiveness as with the old Lollipop ROMs, specifically from Slim LP.
So, hopefully someone will read this and will have a copy of any of these... at least the kernel!!!
Greetings!

Is no one developing for t805? Am dying to get a good rom something like blisspop on my tab. Am dying to get a good rom for the tab. I am begging for a good lollipop rom for t805.

hi you can get the official lollipop update by the end of april:good::good:
Hi Guys,
Like to hear some inputs from users that went from KitKat to Lollipop, or vice versa.
From what I have read so far, KitKat seems to be the smoother ROM and some users have reported lag and performance issues with Lollipop?
What are the KitKat ROMs that are available? It seems most developers are moving onto Lollipop now?
Thanks much!
Personally, I don't have any problems w/ lag using LP (5.0.1) on a D851. There are a number of 4.4.x based ROMS for the G3 that can be found here...
[INDEX] LG G3 - ROMs, Kernels, MODs, Recoveries, Themes [11 Jul 2015]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2772658
Scroll down about 3/4 of the page to the "KitKat, Android 4.4x" section.
Do folks mostly use ROMs cooked specifically for the D851, or are the ones in the general G3 section considered fair game without compromises? I'm coming from the S4 which was picky about models/ROM matching...
You can only flash ROMs that are compatible w/ your phones model, for ex. D851, D852, D855, etc.
I have no problem with lollipop ? and like it more than kitkat. I've noticed with L I get more battery life and it's smoother. All the xposed mods that I've used on kitkat now work fine on L. I have no plans to go back to kitkat. Currently using cloudy rom
I have a neo SM-N7505 that I'm using to carry me by til cyber monday, after my nexus 6 shamu was stolen.
I'm looking for a stable to semi semi stable stock android ROM, as I dislike TouchWiz like a CM11, CM12 13 ports, AOSP etc but can't determine what is safe to flash with all the different variants of Neo's. Are they really all the same phone with different sku's because of the market they are sold in?
Would download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hlte be safe to use?
It came to me with Root in build JSS15J.N7505ZHUAND1 (4.3 kitkat) and I installed TWRP 2.8.7.0.
Any help would me much appreciated, I've done my best to look at stickys threads and google around but I'm running into some broken links or out of date info and I don't want to brick it.
Hi,
I recommend you to download the AICP ROM or the CM 12.1 ROM as they are available for our 4G model. The link you want to try is about the Note 3 LTE.

Thank You Very Much!!!
Hello everyone. Please forgive me but I am a super newbie in regards to rooting and terminologies. I have a Galaxy Note 8 N5100, wifi version. It has the original firmware 4.4.2 and I would like to upgrade it to Nougat 7.0. My son is having trouble playing new games on it so I theorized that it could be due to its age. Before I buy a brand new tablet I figured I would try to see if updating the N5100 would help.
I have googled and saw this link and it seems fairly easy.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2626778
Is that the correct thing to go through the process? And to update to Nougat I saw this:
http://www.android-nougat.tech/2017/03/samsung-galaxy-note-8-0-wi-fi-5253.html
Or if there is a better/easier way I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Wish I could help. I'm just getting back into this tablet myself.I'm sure someone will show up with info.

Hi! I was planning to do exactly the same thing -- upgrade my trusty Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 to Android Nougat -- and from scouring the XDA forums re this device, it seems to me that we have two popular options (based on the comments and thanks-ratings).
Here's the link to the more popular one, it's been renamed LineageOS 14.1 by the developer(s) but is based on Nougat 7.x:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...m-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-gt-n51xx-t3533329
And if for some reason you don't like the name of that one (or for any other reason, just to have an alternative), there's another popular one called RR (short for Resurrection Remix OS). It is based on Nougat 7.1.1_r25 and nightlies of LineageOS 14.1:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...t/rom-resurrection-remix-5-8-2-rel-1-t3571116
I'm about to upgrade to LineageOS now (wish me luck). The reason I'm choosing LineageOS is 'coz it seems to be more popular and is ported to more devices.
Hi I own the same device as you and I flashed the RR rom to my tablet it was really easy, you need to root your device first and then install TWRP (Team win recovery project) after that follow the instructions on the rom
do you lose touchwiz and spen?
Hi,
Do any custom roms offer touchwiz or spen?
Thx

If you are looking to use a more current rom with Marshmallow or Nougat, then yes you will lose touchwiz and probably most or all s-pen features. AOSP roms like Lineage and Resurrection Remix are based on stock android, but sometimes they're the only way to keep an old device current. Touchwiz roms are usually adapted from original firmware or ports from similar devices. Since this device stopped receiving updates at Kitkat, the most up-to-date touchwiz roms you'll find for the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be Kitkat.
I'm new to flashing ROMs... originally rooted my S5 in 2016, but am just now getting around to flashing a rom. My phone runs on Lollipop 5.0. I'm concerned that the hardware will no well support ROMs based on Android 10, 11 & 12 - which is what I'm seeing everywhere.
1. If I flash the newer versions on LineageOS, will they work correctly on my phone?
2. Can I still use ROMs based on Lollipop 5.0 - If so, where can I find them?
Thanks!
