Hi,
I have a problem that when i shutdown my device ( i choose to power off ). after it shuts down it automatically goes into clockworkmod recovery (v3.0.0.6).
When i then choose power off, the device starts up again after about 15 seconds, back into recovery mode.
The device is plugged into the loader.
If i choose reboot system android loads. running latest leedroid 2.2.2
is there away to turn my device off ?
thanks,
regards, mark
It is a "feature" of clockworkmod. There is nothing you can do about it. Unplug your charger and the phone will stay off.
Thanks,
I think i did something stupid though..
i chose boot into recovery, and now my device won't boot anymore, is stuck at a nice white screen with HTC logo.
Do i have to reflash ?

Click to collapse
Did you try a battery pull ? , take your battery out put in back in and turn the phone on .
unfortunately that didn't work.
What did work was, pull battery, startup with volume down
then do factory reset... this got me back into CWMod
Then did a restore, and my phone is booting again...
I do wonder though how i got myself into this predicament :S
hello, there was something wrong with the wifi (not stable) and I try to restore settings and everything back to origional state. I was using stock rom rooted phone and installed clockworkmod recovery.
After pressing data factory reset from mobile settings, my phone is trying to boot for a few times but some android logo appearing and a kind of loading bar flashing but then phone reboot, it is going for few times and it happen in 5 - 10 seconds.
I tried to boot into recovery mode, but only this screen is appearing. Please tell me what can I do? As I void my warranty after root, is it bricked ? or what happened
You guys panic so easily. It's not bricked. Not even close to being bricked.
Are you s-off?
I was juz booting into recovery to do a data wipe. Then, as i reboot the system the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite" logo appears then it justs shuts off after a few seconds. What in the world happened? Then i tried again and again to no avail. Then all of the sudden, the recovery screen popped out for no reason, I then reboot the device but the same thing repeated itself. What happened?
Edit: Nevermind got onto download mode and reflashed the stock firmware
I have the V500 on CM12.1 unofficial. Everything was fine and then I went to do a backup in TWRP. Then I looked at the restore menu but didn't do anything. I backed up to my SD Card. Then I booted back into the system, but all that came on was the back button and the notification tray and status bar. The background was black. No home button or multitask button. So I reset it a few times. Eventually I could get into the tablet but when I clicked on a app nothing opened. I then reset it again and it kept coming on with that partial screen. I tried to boot into recovery to try and restore the backup but ADB was locked and the button combination didn't work. So I decided to flash back to stock using LG Mobile Tools. Eventually I could get into download mode but when it got close to finishing to flash the software it stopped and gave me an error. After doing some hard reboots it eventually flashed the software because it would boot into the LG screen. But it was stuck in a bootloop and I've read that in order to fix that you need to do a factory reset. So I tried to boot to recovery but when I pressed and held down volume down and power nothing would happen. Sometimes it would flash the LG logo for a split second. Eventually after a lucky try the LG logo stayed on and I could boot to recovery and do a factory reset. Then everything was back to stock. But when I turn off the tablet it won't power back on unless I plug in the tablet. Battery is fine. Regular battery life it just won't turn on when I power it down without being on the charging screen.
A few weeks ago, my phone rebooted and it was stuck rebooting to the att logo. I was on the road and was unable to use my phone. In frustration I tried to do a factory reset from the recovery mode.
It wiped system as its supposed to, but I was still stuck booting up to the logo screen and freezing there.
How to factory reset completely : Warning! You will lose all apps and data on phone as if you were reflashing with odin.
Boot into recovery mode (volume up + home button +power) select apply update from adb. Once started, just put your phone down and wait. It will take a little while. Then it will time out and completely wipe and restore your phone to factory.
Proceed to setup your phone as new.
