hello every1
while upgrading the Excalibur i get the following message on the update utility:
Error [294] : invalid vender id
the update utility cannot be used for your smartphone. please check your update utility.
I did run the SDA_ApplicationUnlock & USPL-CIDBYPASS . and procedure completed successfully.
my phone currently shows the following msg when i power it on with a non-accepted sim card 'THE SIM CARD IS NOT VALID.PLEASE INSERT THE CERTIFIED SIM CARD PROVIDER BY YOUR SUBSCRIBED OPERATOR.DEVICE WILL SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY'
any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do to get original imei?
Now mount Android 4.1.2 xxdlk7
Sorry for my bad english
You didn't properly upgrade and downgrade...or maybe something went wrong during the process..Whenever you install a ROM you should always take a backup of your EFS partition in order to avoid such issues.I am sure the DITTO Rom installer must have generated a backup of the EFS while flashing/installing it ..if that is so you will find that in the internal SD card mostly. Secondly,I don't know about other but i have faced this issue with my Samsung Galaxy S2 ...Sometimes the IMEI is proper in the partition but it shows it to be wrong..and the network connects !....and the imei shows proper on restart / flashing other ROM...
This might help !...
1.Search for the EFS restore image created buy the ROM flasher..into ur Computer system
2.Follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2088809 and check if the IMEI comes proper..if it doesnt then use the EFS backup to restore in that case refer this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255943
after kies upgrade
Serial Number: 00000000000
Imei: 004999010640000
using a tool for recover imei
Serial Number: 00000000000
Imei: 004999010640000
but phone working network working message working ecc
the network might evict you maybe later..or i dont know its wierd needs the attention of some person with more knowledge...
Hello , I am new here and this is my first post.
My phone Note-2(N7100 16GB) faced Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS). So I replaced the emmc and phone booted. But when i put the sim card its not being detected by phone. IMEI is NULL and Baseband is UNKNOWN. How can i restore the IMEI ?
I think the sim card error is because of this NULL IMEI. Also the service mode is blank(*#9090#).
Please Help...
Android Ver 4.4.2 (I tried the samsung emergency recovery and it updated phone to kitkat)
I recovered from a brick using WW_ZE551ML_2.20.40.184_20160504.raw but after my sim cards were not working. after a bit of fussing around sim 2 will detect but sim 1 refuses.
I then tried to flash to custom rom (AICP - 11.0 - MM 6.0.1_rXx) same problem!.
Please can someone help. My bootloader still shows the 123456 etc serial number and unknown bootloader version; hw version - ; sining ? ; secure boot ?
not sure if thats what is causing my problems.
***Update***
So after doing some more research it looks like both my imei are appearing the same# i cant imagine that is gonna be good for my phone most likely why i am having problems with both sim cards slots.
***Update***
Ok i fixed sim 1 imei back to normal using (phone tool). Is there anyway to re-enter the imei for sim 2. It is still the 0049 imei.
Hey,
same for me ! I put a new sim connector (hardware) but same problem ! It's a software problem. Where download RAW and DNX/IFWI for EU phone ? Why the IMEI switch to 0049 and network operator refuse the connnexion ?
Thanks
Hi guyz, Snakeforhire here. For some reason I can't access my old account anymore so had to create another one :/
My 3rd phone (not in production) is a N7100 which behaves weird since I flashed a stock 4.4.2 ROM on it : when I boot it up, it loads OK, recognizes the SIM card and asks for the PIN to unlock it, but once fully booted it doesn't pick up a carrier and displays the barred circle instead Wifi and bluetooth work OK though.
From what I can see it has a valid IMEI (an analyser tool from PlayStore recognizes it as a valid GN2 IMEI), and the EFS doesn't seem corrupted.
"About device" displays the following info :
Android version : 4.4.2
baseband version : N7100XXUFND3
Kernel version : 3.0.31-1280411
(....)
Build #KOT49H.N7100XXUFND3
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thx !
Has the phone been blacklisted from your carrier? Is it possible there is a loose connection inside?
