Feb OTA disappeared - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

I was on 10.0.4.0 then had a failure flashing a kernel bootloop etc. So I flashed the last stock rom 10.0.3.0 via fastboot then the device tells me it's up to date (January)
Tried clearing Google services framework data
Getting in Google play services beta
And when nothing worked I flashed the room again and still no update available

[Q] Yet another Google Play Services Error 491 help request, but...

I've tried all of the fixes I've found but nothing works.
I was running rooted stock 4.4.2 and then upgraded to 5.02. (the new UK release from SamMobile). Everything works fine, except Google Play Services. Initially I got the 492 error but cleared that. Now, no matter what I try, it just keeps popping up.
I have TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery and I have a TWRP back-up from a month ago.
Anyone any new ideas? (apart from delete account reboot, delete cache, data, force stop Google Play Services/Store)
Please?
Pretty please?
Check your time and date.
John.
When you get that error it usually asks you to update google services. Always does for me when I reload lollipop and fixes it every time.
Or just download from the link below.
You need to go to apps settings and check the version number of Google services. You need the last 3 numbers in brackets. Probably 436 if you're on lollipop.

CM12.1 snapshot: Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped

Since I installed CM12.1 release version (cm-12.1-20150901-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO23D-v500.zip) I am getting continuous " Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped"-errors.
I tried at least 5 different versions of google play services apk,
also the latest gapps-511-base-20150904-1-signed.zip from here.
any suggestions?
I finally solved the problem by wiping /system (and dalvik and cache) and doing a fresh install of CM12.1 + the mentioned gapps 5.1.1.

Google play store stuck at downloading

Hi everyone, my lg g4 h815p was working with marshmallow and I wanted revert it to lollipop for root. Now google play store downloads stuck at downloading or at some percentage (for example %91). Also it gives an error 489. Sometimes it can download 1 or 2 apps but again stuck for next app. Yes, I have ****ty wifi but there was no problem before now and my brother can download apps using the wifi with his phone.
I tried clear cache/file google play store, google play services, download manager and deleting my google account and adding it again. Also clearing google play store updates and trying to download with mobile data instead of wifi didn't work. For example when it is stuck at %72, if I turn off and turn on wifi or turn on mobile data, sometimes it continues downloading and the app is installed but this doesn't always work. Finally, I did a factory reset, reset my modem and change dns to google dns also installed the lollipop kdz again with LGUP didn't solve the problem. I thought that Adaway blocks google play store somehow, disabled and uninstalled it also didn't help. Last, I want to say that my lg g4 was working with no problems with the same lollipop kdz and rooted 2 months ago.

its impossible to understand what you are trying to do there. Marshmallow isn't rooted ?
Anyway , since you are rooted, just flash new gapps in recovery or use flashfire and flash them.
I don't understand what the problem is and you want lollipop that bad and i don't know where exactly the play store error is since i don't have a logcat to show the error, but reflashing gapps will solve it.
My phone's bootloader is locked. I'm just installing the stock h815p lollipop kdz with LGUP, I don't have recovery/TWRP . After rooting it, I installed Xposed with Flashfire. My problem is that I can't download apps from google play store. Everything is working perfect except play store issue.

flash new gapps with flashfire. you don't need a custom recovery.

I installed the stock lollipop kdz again. After 15 minutes when I looked into the installed apps there was latest version of the google play store but the google play services version was old. So, I downloaded the latest version of the google play services apk and installed it manually. After restarting the phone, the issue was fixed. Thank you for your help.

nope. anytime. But you could directly do what i said and flash gapps from flashfire, there was no need to reflash kdz and waste time looking for the problem

Op5T Stuck

Op5T
TWRP 3.2.3
Beta OOS
EX kernel
Magisk
Phone was stuck on "Phone is starting" screen and multiple gapps needing google play services. I attempt to sign in and nothing happens. This occurred after reflashing Beta OOS through TWRP. When I attempted to restore the backup I recently created before reflashing, the phone doesn't complete the boot process and gives me a black screen with solid white LED.
Reflashing beta rom results in the 1st aforementioned issue. I tried wiping system, cache, and dalvik. I also tried using the uninstaller for magisk. To no avail.
I resolved (somewhat) the issue by wiping system in twrp and flashing the stable OOS. No issues with Google Play Services not working. All I had to do was sign in (yes, it let me sign in) to google (add google account). If there's any information I forgot to add, please let me know.
What did I do wrong?
-Beta OOS came from OP official website
-Stable OOS came from OP official website

Bootloop after OTA google play services, need help!

Hello guys
this monrning i had a popup of googleplay service ota installed, i opened magisk manager installed it after ota , reboot device and now im stuck on boot with the logo , I have too many important files of my job in the phone that i cannot lost, i will appreciate any help if somebody could help me fiix it without format it, i promise a donation for who will help me without format it! Thanks in advance!
you have made a Google play system update and not an ota firmware update. after the google play system update you do not need to go to the magisk manager and flash magiks in the inactive slot you can only do this after an ota firmware update. but since you did this with the google update, you switched from the active slot to the inactive slot, you have to switch to the other slot by fastboot, then the box should boot again.
I flashed twrp and flashed again the Rom and fixed it
I guess you have a custom rom?

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for posting this answer!
If anyone's reading this because you got a bootloop due to a Google Play Services update, this could be the reason why. I was soft-bricked because Google Play Services decided to push an update to the latest version even though I intentionally did not update my Pixel 3 firmware to the latest build (wanted to stay on Android 10 but update for was for 11).
If this is you, and you have an unlocked bootloader, go ahead and OTA to the latest firmware (be sure to remove the "-w" flag in the flash-all.bat file to prevent a data wipe!). The bootloop will fix and you'll be able to boot correctly. You'll have to re-flash Magisk again, but at least you'll be able to recover your files.

Hey! This was what happened to me this evening. My dad's phone suddenly bootlooped again and again. Initially, I thought that a factory reset could solve this. Did that and after reinstalling everything the same thing happened again. Found out that this only happened after I updated google play services. Is there any way I could download 'not' the latest version of google play services?
EDIT: After a factory reset I downloaded a previous version of Google Play services and the bootloop was fixed. Thought I could share this here so that others could be helped. Maybe the latest version (23 Feb 2022) was not compatible with the phone. But does anyone know any workaround so that I could download the latest version of Google Play services?
EDIT EDIT: Today, 25 Feb 2022, the phone was stuck on boot again. Found out that Google decided to force push an update to Google Play service (ver. 22.02.21). I was able to reboot the phone into lock screen and turned on airplane mode. The phone is working fine on airplane mode but as soon as I turned it off, the same thing happened again. Really frustrated with this incompatibility between the phone and Google's services.

I have the same problem here, after google play service auto-update to version 22.x, my phone bootloop. Are you have found a solution for this?
Download another Google play services apk for your android 10 or 11 or 12 from apkmirror and install

thanks for your response, but I've done it many times. I have downloaded google play ver 21.x, disabled auto-update, and disabled internet permission, but it always forces update to 22.x when I'm going to install or update some application. I'm very stuck with this incompatibility, are you have another solution?
