I got a replacement phone and I update it to 9.0 but every time the phone reset or I restarted I get a little pop up on the screen say I need to update os on a unsupported version has this happened to anyone is yet. I'll try screen shot next time but this is brand new phone and was not on beta with this phone.

Could this possibly be Jellybean? I'd prefer to use wi-fi to download it, just curious as to whether or not anyone else has an idea..
No update and probably it will be on Sam mobile by now, I didn't see it earlier so I doubt is jellybean

Before this gets way out of hand, what are you running now? ROM/Kernel (version numbers)
I just checked mine and I got nothing.
I have a feeling what the OP hasnt said yet is that he just bought the phone and is getting LH2 now while everyone else got it 5 weeks ago.

I've had the phone since release. I reverted back to stock (VALEM) about two weeks ago and this morning I received a notice for the update. I went home just now to check it out and yeah, it was (VALH2). I just found that odd that it took that long to get a notice. Apologies. I wasn't trying to stir anything up.
Could be an update to fix the reset hack problem

That is patched in LH2 afaik.
So this is extremely weird. About a week ago i flashed the most recent miui.us from rom manager. last night i went to sleep with it on charge and when i woke up and pressed the power button to see the time.... the camera flashed but the screen didnt come on
Ive pulled the batter and tried to turn it on: same thing
ive tried to boot into recovery: same thing
ive tried to use the gnex toolkit 10.1: its not recognized
so what im trying to figure out, because ive looked all through the toolkit... is there a way to flash an unresponsive gnex (or) have any of you guys heard of this issue before
Verizon Galaxy Nexus
This is a very strange issue.
Have you tried booting the phone into download (Odin) mode?

did someone or you install an anti theft app onto your device? one that takes pictures of the thief if they try using the device..
I feel like I have tried everything but the odin program, my does absolutely nothing besides flash no matter what button combination I try.
and no I have not installed that app... i actually wasnt aware that it existed!
I just really do NOT want to send it to Samsung. This was actually a warranty replacement I received about a month ago. I flashed MIUI the day i got it and it was acting fine the whole time until I woke up and it was doing this
So ODIN it, you need ODIN for your PC and the recovery files for your GalNex. That should fix you right up, I wouldn't want to send it to Samsung either, they'd try to charge you regardless of warranty.

My vibrator died. I even did a factory restore but that didn't help.
Any ideas I don't think phone is under warranty any longer.

Try using Kies and doing an emergency firmware update. It will ask you to input a model number. For AT&T it is SGH-I747 with caps and everything exactly as I wrote it. See if that helps your issue first.

This may or man not help, but my Captivate would sometimes do this with certain updates. I even thought about trying to replace the motor the first time and then after I updated to a different rom it was back again. Or maybe it was just a re-install. Either way, it did come back and I think it happened again once or twice as I tried lots of roms on that phone.

Is there a fix for this
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I'll let others chime in with this, but I'll say that my previous S7 did that same thing - and never stopped through an entire year. I thought it was something with the firmware and waited IMPATIENTLY until it updated, still rebooted on it's own - then I figured why not root and see if I can fix it, same issues. I wish I would have returned it in the 14 days and gotten another.
If it were happening to me, I wouldn't deal with it, I'd replace it asap.
I received an over the air update which I hit install. Ever since then the phone would freeze 30sec into startup and would have to take out the battery. It would finally work but constantly restarts its self. I downloaded Samsung Kies 2.6 and got the firmware updated. The phone still constantly restarts its self. I need help. Sorry if this is a repetitive question but I did try to search threads for an answer. Thank You.

Seriously, the issue probably isn't the update. Those phones have a notoriously bad power button. I had 3 of them die in a similar way.
