Nice thanks for the link. Do you know if flashing the OTA will wipe data?
Sent from my Mi MIX 3 using Tapatalk
From stable to beta - wipe is needed
Beta to newer beta - without wipe
I wonder when (and if) they will provide W L1 support.
I'm going to have to skip that and be the bad user. I can't remove anymore devices from Google Play Music, so I can't wipe data.
Will edit the zip and remove the wipe.

Don't know....but I flash it via official twrp
I flashed with TWRP and it didn't wipe data. There's nothing in the OTA to make it wipe data. The wipe is done by something with Xiaomis updater app. I'm running my data from global stable and having no issues.

I open directly from winrar interface without extracting, and delete compatibility.zip; then move the 9.3.7 zip file to downloaded_rom folder on Mi Mix 3, and try to update through updater.

I also had this problem and I the solution is very simple: wait for Xiaomi release the open beta! This build is for closed beta, so the only way to use it is flashing it. I don't know why they are delaying so much, tho. The Mi 9 already has an open beta available

I am looking for some testers for my rom on Pixel XL, we currently have a build up on https://temp.bbqdroid.org/
It is a flashable zip and you should have a backup from twrp on your pc before flashing.
To keep TWRP you will likely need to flash ROM + Gapps, TWRP zip and then supersu.

Just a heads up. I looked at the script and if you want to flash it , you'll need to adb sideload it as the script needs modification for TWRP.
How well does the build work? OMS Full? As on the 6P?

If you wipe system then flash the rom when you go to reboot it will say no OS installed. When you flash the rom it's flashing to the other partition so no need to wipe system and when you reboot it switches slots. If you just factory reset you won't get the no OS installed message.
Interesting.
Yeah, I did wipe /system.
Guys, its a bit ot but i had the following issue with installing DU on my sailfish:
I wiped System, data, Cache, flashed DU and so on... Then twrp said no OS installed. Ich accidentally rebooted system and did not reboot bootloader.
Screen turned off, hard brick because twrp (or what Else?) swapped boot partition to b (no bootloader installed).
As you can imagine, im pretty frightened to flash anything but weta rom for now on my new pixel (google rma...).
Is this caused by twrp, du or what?

It's impolite to talk about an issue with DU in the thread dedicated for a totally different ROM.
You may want to post this question over in the TWRP thread.

No worries Looks like someone beat me to it. Here I am sitting with a 75% upload on my potato internet haha.
Just FYI the build is pretty buggy, things I've noticed so far is that opening quick settings animation can trip out a little bit and every now and then icons from the status bar go missing also search in the settings can crash the app. As expected from a first build of this new style, might be a dealbreaker for some but the new look is pretty sick so it shall stay on my device until the next developer build. :good: :good:

Hey, I came from the latest developer ROM release from the official MIUI download site.
Used TWRP and did a clean flash after wiping literally everything possible twice. Getting access from Xiaomi to have the ability to unlock your bootloader does not wipe anything but does take up to 72 hours I believe. Unlocking the bootloader itself will wipe all your data and factory reset so if you're planning to flash a new ROM anyway then it's not a problem. I rarely use these nightly more experimental builds because they are less stable and I need to use TWRP which isn't much of a problem but the stable and developer released ROMs from the official MIUI download site are available as a fastboot version which you can flash with the Xiaomi Flash tool which fully wipes anything and everything from the phone and installs your MIUI ROM of choice as it were a new phone.
If you or anyone else uses Discord, feel free to hit me up on there. I have barely any status on this website but have been mucking around with ROMs for years. Kaji#4985

Hi there friend, what kind of flash are you doing? Dirty or clean. The chances are you need to wipe everything before this installation.
Also, what ROM are you coming from? If it's a version before Android 8.0 you may need to flash any of the official global oreo ROMs from the MIUI download site first which I would recommend doing the fastboot way (downloading fastboot version of the ROM and flashing with Xiaomi Flash Tool).

I'm no expert but I recommend just flashing it in TWRP. Fastboot flash TWRP and boot to it, wipe everything...EVERYTHING, and then copy the zip across for this ROM then flash and reboot.

No need to port the rom, just install the files from the p gsi post and download the teammex's fix from this link: https://github.com/erfanoabdi/P_semiGSI/wiki/Moto-Z-Play
You have to decrypt your device, install Xperience rom, wipe system data dalvik and cache and then flash the p gsi, after that you have to mount vendor and flash the post _sgsi files and then you have to mount system and vendor again to flash teammex's fix. After that you have to reboot your device and install gms ( tinyurl.com/gmscore ) to fix play store.

I was grateful if you could do a tutorial, I can not do the decryption, there's no time to do it, please help me
I don't have this phone and don't have a way to test this. I have a working model for the OnePlus 6 but that doesn't mean it will work on the 6T. It is firmware specific. First one is based off the 9.0.14 34 OTA. Second one, beta OB9 41 OTA.
Flash in TWRP but it will show up as a module in magisk manager. Unzip this zip onto your internal sdcard. Boot into TWRP and find that folder. You must flash the base first. While still in TWRP, go back to the folder and one at a time, flash anything you might be interested in. Nothing is installed until at the end when you are done and you flash the "complete installation" zip.
If you want 3Minit battery you must install the minitbatteryresources.apk prior to booting into TWRP and installing the 3minit battery mod. Battery text options remove the battery and leave battery percent only. The text will always be white, however, unless the phone is charging (then the text turns green).
If interested in trying, have a backup. If your phone bootloops and boots to TWRP, you can always use TWRP file manager to delete the module (Tulsadiver Mods), then reboot. Module's found on the root drive of your phone in the data/adb/modules folder. Mount system first. You have to delete each apk in the module.
If anyone trys this, please provide feedback so others can know if it works for you or not.

I uploaded a beta version. Beta versions have been problematic but I did get some working on the OnePlus 6.

As @OvrDriVE stated, the entire zip folder cannot be flashed. It is not an aroma installer but is similar in that you make the selections you want before you finalize the installation. Once unzipped, for example, into a folder called OnePlus6T it would look like this.
Go to the bases folder and flash the standardbase.
Hit the back button (in TWRP), and go back to the folder. Say you want 3Minit battery. Open battery folder and flash 3Minit.
Hit back button again. If done, open complete installation folder and flash that zip. Only then do you choose to reboot your phone and the installation will be complete.

Firmware specific. What are you interested in? I don't see a 9.0.5 for the 6T.

If you will give me a link to your firmware I'll look but like I said, I didn't find one by that number for the 6t, just the 6.

Did you flash them one at a time without stacking them in TWRP and without rebooting in between?

Normally I ask for a direct link to the firmware but I didn't this time. I'm also doing this for OnePlus 6. Maybe I got the firmwares mixed up. I'm downloading it again.
Minitbatteryresources.apk is only necessary for the 3 Minit mod, not the other batteries.
