You have to flash boot img using twrp only. OP is just saying to choose "boot partition" while flashing the img using twrp.

ui is somewhat lagging please fix that sir

Did you try PixelMaster? It works on any ROM without need of porting. (The video stuff is still not fixed, I use Footej Cam for that purpose)

Completely broken means COMPLETELY BROKEN ( you are not able to capture photos and videos with pre-installed camera app or any other third-party camera apps).

Alright, I'd like to have a try myself. I've tested almost every Android 8.x (and every 7.x until the first unofficial Lineage 15) build that came for Asus Zenfone 2 Laser and right now using Lineage 15, and satisfied with it.(I have a Z00L, 3GB/16GB). I know that you are telling the truth, but I'd like to find it out myself. [Not fond of "Told-You-So" though. ]

Thanks buddy, I'm also trying to Port Asus Splendid app, perhaps you could help me.(I'm a complete novice compared to your level of knowledge. All I have right now is XMLs/apps that are somewhat named like ???.splendid.???.) You know what I mean.

I tried, and you're right bro. I would have used it for a few days despite of that problem, but my capacitive keys are not working. Which means I have to rely on software navigation buttons. More than 5 times I've tried, but software navigation buttons wouldn't activate.(I've checked build.prop file after that modification, qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 was there, still didn't activate).

to fix the camera go to system/frameworks and delete all files com.motorola.xxx and reboot

I flashed TWRP 3.1.1-0 which works perfectly. 3.2.0-0 doesn't seem to work well.

Very nice for a first release! Amazing work.
A little laggy sometimes but, i hope the developers continue with this rom.

Bugs So far i detected :
1. volte working but on every reboot it's gone need to enable manually through settings.
2. Jio Data not working [Not sure because i not recharge actually prompt for sign in.
3. battery charging animation not working when connected to laptop. Animation gone after 1 min.
4. Tez app not working again.
5. when you download something from play store then download animated icon not showing. You need to manually go into status bar and check for it.

Logs or it didn't happen. Try getting logcats from a log capturing app or use ADB. Follow this fashion please:

Keep in mind, this ROM, and all Pie ROMs in general, are still under construction, it will take a while till all features you might know and love from Oreo are ported over to Pie.​

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Q. How to disable "Apps running in background" dialog?
A. When you see the dialog, long press on it and select "Settings". From there, you'll have a toggle to disable it.
Q. Which Models are supported?
A. So far it works well on the H930(G/DS), US998, VS996 and LS998 (use H930 zip). Other models may have broken RIL or bootloop. People with a H932, please use that zip.

Theres a damn lot what @me2151 did. Idk if we would even boot yet without him.
Also... I plan to keep it down on Pie ROMs, not doing the same anymore as with Oreo, thats too much hassle to maintain. Maybe 2 or 3 ROMs max from me, but we have other developers too (and its all open source, everyone can build their own ROM)

Very nice. Everything seems alright on US998 with TMobile. WiFi calling is enabled too ?. One thing I noticed is that if you enable show touches on developer options, the screen goes crazy every time you scroll or change windows. Thanks again for this rom!
Edit: Is there anyway to port the LG stock Oreo camera to this? It records nicely in 60fps. Can anyone extract it from oreo and upload it? Will it work? I just noticed that the rom has no camera lol

OTA is set up,
In the future, updates can be downloaded to your mobile phone via lineageos_updates, and
will be installed automatically. if it is not possible to install the update automatically or you want to install it manually, proceed as follows,
(Selects in twrp) install/selects memory/internal memory/parent folder/data/lineageos_updates.
chooses the build and installs it and everything else you want to install and restarts after that.
to activate root
navigate to Settings / Scroll down over phone tap build number 7 times,
goes back to screaming back then on developer opions and scrolls to root access and activates it.
to be able to boot from the power key to recovery on long press, just activate it in the developer options under Extended Restart.

no. i don't think lineageos will ever support volte on herolte.

Would you be able to reupload the previous release? The current Mega link is corrupt (file is about 100MB too small) and I'm experiencing the same wifi issue that's being reported in the mainline herolte 15.1 thread.

@Critique I had no time to test your last two builds (X-mas stress), but I already downloaded them and I can confirm that the 20181208 build is approx.. 100 MB too small.

First of all I want to say thank you because I am trying to ungooglize me and it is not so easy.
I am really surprised thant in xda there are so few people in that idea.
So thank you to critique to deliver us a rom "all in one and ready to use" without the beast.
Last night I tried to dirty flash the new release (build 04/01/2019) and it bloqued the phone on the screen "Samsung".
Hopefully I managed to come back to the TWRP and to flash the old release (Built 14/12/2018) (without the wifi?)
My question is: Did somebody manage to install the new release ? and
- If yes does he knows why I did not manage to...?
- If no,
What is the last build working fine (and with wifi)?
Critique could you rebuild your new release please?

Installed the new build today. Same behavior for me. Phone doesn't boot anymore and stuck on Samsung Galaxy S7 Bootscreen.

For people who don't know.
When S7 gets stuck in bootscreen, press for approx. 10 sec Volume down + the power button until the screen gets black. Then Change immediately to volume up + power button + home to get in Recovery.

i don't have my s7 at the moment to test it myself, so hopefully i can figure out the problem another way and, fingers crossed, the next build works fine.

Thanks. I think we don't need D2W, maple's fingerprint is still keeping working when screen off on Los and RR. It's very convenient. I don't want to cost much time to compile the whole rom again only for this substitutable function.

OK, after I tested, the fingerprint seems will switch off to save energy. I will try to add it.

really Resurrection tools have a strong functions for more control in the device , i like it!
+ me too i agree with d2w but with the possibility on/off as control by the user

If possible replace Launcher - Trebuchet with ([APP][PORT]LineageOS 15.1 Trebuchet (Laucher) for any ROM (ver. 8.1.0.22) is it more customizable? sorry for bad english.

I have used for one day. every thing seems work great,but force reboot happened,I think is my sim card,one China mobile One China tele,and CT is no service,after few times reboot,CT can't be recognized.but after this ,everything is working great

or if u don't want use fingerprint and phisical power button and want lock and unlock yor phone only by tap to screen, so why android devolopers add to adnroid all this security pheatures like pin code password power lock button and other??....it;s strange

Noob question - Is this AOSP or SODP?

With a delay it leaves the state of sleep, during charging it warmed up and hung, not strong heating was observed during use, Perhaps the reason? I used [MODULE] Smali Patcher.
If you do not use various Magisk modules - FDE.AI, then the use is quite stable ..

Flash 2 weeks ago. Found following problems
Phone Reboots itself (not specific time but I guess it's after call )
No Voice in Video Recording
Phone heats up while on charging.
Stock Call recording is not working also 3rd party apps don't record other person
Hope all these will be fixed in next update. Overall performance is good.

Unfortunately his phone was bricked and an update seemed unlikely. However, his device/vendor trees (Lineage-based) are now available and you can always grab them to build one to see if anything's fixed.
As for the phone reboot and overheating issue... I recently discovered that this happens whenever the phone thinks it's not getting enough cellular signal. If you enter a place where cellular signal is good enough that the phone can easily pick up, the reboot and overheating issue will go away.

I am from India and everything working fine for me except my room is not supporting or detecting VoLte, I am on jio network and the problem is it can only call via VoLte please help !!

who knows? I can unlock my device with fingerprint NOT PRESSING power button. I want to unlock device by PRESSING power button and fingerprint, only. Where this option enable\disable in RR? Please help. Thx...
