Keep in mind, this ROM, and all Pie ROMs in general, are still under construction, it will take a while till all features you might know and love from Oreo are ported over to Pie.
What's working :
RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
Fingerprint
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Camera
Video Recording
Video Playback
Audio
Sensors
Flash
GPS
What's not working :
DAC(Works in USB AUdio Player Pro and Onkyo)
Selinux is permissive
Exfat (when enabled makes system slow down, and eventually crash)
Where are the features?
As every other Pie ROM its still in early development, features will appear with time.
Instructions :

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Can this ROM be flashed through TWRP?
A. Yes, proceed with the latest TWRP image
Q. Sounds good. How can I contribute to project?
A. Test the build as much as you can and report bugs which can be reproduced with exact steps and are not random.
Q. How to disable "Apps running in background" dialog?
A. When you see the dialog, long press on it and select "Settings". From there, you'll have a toggle to disable it.
Q. Which Models are supported?
A. So far it works well on the H930(G/DS), US998, VS996 and LS998 (use H930 zip). Other models may have broken RIL or bootloop. People with a H932, please use that zip.
Nice one. Markus strikes back Thanks for another great rom Do you thing about porting Pixel Experience or Paranoid Android ?
Can someone please provide an alternate download. On AndroidFileHost it takes ~10 hours to download that file.

Check git, and see that Im not alone on this one ^^
Theres a damn lot what @me2151 did. Idk if we would even boot yet without him.
Also... I plan to keep it down on Pie ROMs, not doing the same anymore as with Oreo, thats too much hassle to maintain. Maybe 2 or 3 ROMs max from me, but we have other developers too (and its all open source, everyone can build their own ROM)
Congratulations and Many Thanks, @SGCMarkus and @me2151.
Dual Speaker Mod?
Thanks for the amazing work! I saw on the forums something about a dual speaker mod https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/rom-boombox-v30-t3765275
is that something that might show up in pie roms? thanks again!
Also what kernel is everyone using?

Hi,
Thanks for your work.
I do not see any camera app installed. Do I need to install camera separately ? If yes, would you be able to point out the app that has been tested to work on your rom?
Thanks again.
Very nice. Everything seems alright on US998 with TMobile. WiFi calling is enabled too ?. One thing I noticed is that if you enable show touches on developer options, the screen goes crazy every time you scroll or change windows. Thanks again for this rom!
Edit: Is there anyway to port the LG stock Oreo camera to this? It records nicely in 60fps. Can anyone extract it from oreo and upload it? Will it work? I just noticed that the rom has no camera lol
:good::good: Enjoying some tastt pie right now!! Thank you SGCMarkus!! PowerAmp and GStomper Studio had no problem using hi-res portion of dac!! Using cstark's gcam, with google motion!! I didn't see any root management, when Adaway asks for privileges, you better hit "Grant"!!:laugh::laugh:

Hello everybody, I'm glad to share these days' work of bringing Marshmallow to the OnePlus One.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
This ROM is based on CAF release LA.BF.1.1.3-00110-8x74.0, with some little modification to some components to make it build. The kernel is based on CM12.1. You can check the kernel source on my GitHub. Links will be posted later.
Nearly all basic feature should be working: 4G data, 4G->3G fallback on calls, SMS, camera/camcorder, BT, WiFi, MTP, 4K recording, HW decoding etc.
kexec hardboot is supported.
Known issues:
1. Stock camera doesn't work well. Here is a list of comparison:
Feature - Working on Stock camera - OppoCamera port - CameraNextMod?
Switching front/back cam - No - Yes - Yes
Camcorder <=1080p - No - Yes - Yes
4K Recording - No - No - Yes
Click to collapse
(maybe I should get a monospace font in Firefox)
2. Battery drains... a little faster? (Just a little)
3. The ROM comes with ancient Launcher2. Launcher3 is not included. I will post this as an attachment. Launcher3 has been added since 20151018
4. Picture in apps are sometimes automatically zoomed out (and distorted) and can not be zoomed in. Is this a common problem among AOSP-based Marshmallow ROMs? I tried AOSP and CAF sources, and they both have the same issue. Need to change DPI via build.prop
5. Security related: SELinux is disabledpermissive in 20151018. HW Crypto is not working. Software-based credentials storage.
6. No gestures (DT2W etc) Workaround available in Q&A
7. Kernel panics/reboots on switching adb on & off.
8. WiFi AP still runs on 2.4G even when 5G is selected.
If you find more issues, feel free to post here. However, I may not be able to solve them since schoolwork is so heavy... And this ROM may not be updated regularly.

Q&A:
1. Kernel Compatibility
The kernel of this ROM is based on CM12.1, but not exactly the same. You can not use kernels built for CM12.1 with this ROM. Marshmallow requires new features like updated SELinux, uid_cputime, etc, but CM12.1 source does not contain these features. You can take a look at commits and it will be clear.
Click to collapse
2. Recovery Compatibility
I am using TWRP 2.8.7.0 with MultiROM support (TWRP_multirom_bacon_20150803-00.img from MultiROM thread). If you can not get the ROM installed properly, please try updating your recovery.

3. Rooting
Since this is a experimental build, I have turned off SELinux completely. SELinux is permissive. Just flash SuperSU 2.50 zip in the recovery and it will be fine.
Click to collapse
4. F2FS Support
The kernel has F2FS driver builtin and corresponding entries in fstab file (as CM does). Vold has F2FS files as well, so you can give it a try. But I can not guarantee that it will work flawlessly.
EDIT: Some people tested and reported it not working. Make a backup before you try.

5. GApps
I'm using DeltaGapps with SetupWizard removed (yes it is the one that keeps force closing. you can disable that via adb as well). I think the lack of permissions(appops_whitelist.xml I guess) caused this failure. After allowing every permission required by Google apps and adding the account manually, Sync and Store works as expected. Now on Tap seems broken. Maps is working, and gets a lock in secs..
There are some other GApps package links in the first few pages. Some people say Now on Tap works with them, you can have a try.

If you are not, goto 3 and take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63313126&postcount=115double tap the home key.

8. LCD Density
Code:
wm density 440 # if you want 440
wm density reset # self-explanatory
Above will lead to corrupted pics.
Change
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=480
to
Code:

What is CAF?
CAF stands for Code Aurora Forum. Qualcomm releases stock AOSP android with optimisations for their chipsets periodically on CAF.
Based off latest Qualcomm sources from tag LA.UM.5.8.r1-00400-8x98.0 (msm 8998).

Changelog:
* OSS Camera HAL (CAF tag LA.BF.1.1.3_rb1.15)
* Native Video recording without Hack (More details in below para)
* Dirac Sound
* Rootless Substratum support
* Tons of bug fixes
A note on video recording:
In android nougat, google split up mediaserver into several components to enhance security since the discovery of stagefright security bugs. As a result, the video recording and encoding, which were done on same process are now done on seperate process. So, this required changes to camera HAL. Since most of the devices do not have camera HAL sources, so they had no way but to revert android's security measures to make video recording work (hence the video recording hack was introduced).
As i said earlier, I didnt wanted to revert the security steps taken by google so i decided to take up another project here.
So now, i'd like to announce that I have successfully prepared open source camera HAL.
Yes, you read it right.. open source camera HAL for our very own cancro.
Since now we have open source camera, I have upgraded the HAL to support the new recording method introduced in android nougat (credits to @ashwin007 for his backport commits). This means, no security hack has been used in this ROM.
And as an added benefit, now we have more options and ways to fine tune our camera due to OSS.
Test as much features of camera as u can. Feedback is welcome.

Yet another reserved.
Been using this ROM on my MI 4 for past 12 hours and here are my findings
There are no groundbreaking bugs as is and it can definitely be used as a daily driver.
As mentioned by the OP, video recording does not work but if you download a custom camera app from play store (I tried Footrej).. It seems to work properly. I haven't tried with other apps though. But the camera is still horrible. It is not able to focus properly and there's also a lot of noise.
Clock app FC can be fixed by downloading the Clock app by Google from Play Store and disabling the system one as both are exactly the same but there won't be any FCs in the Play Store one
Performance wise it's pretty decent, though it does hang sometimes here and there. But considering this is literally the first ROM for Nougat for cancro, it's excellent! (I wish there was a x.75 speed for animations *sigh*)
Battery life is also okay-ish. I won't say it's the best but it's not terrible either.
As for other stuff, there is a lot of delay when waking up device through dt2w or s2w. You might wanna look into that. And as already recognized by the OP, the backlight is not working though I hadn't really noticed it before others pointed it out.
P.S. Suggestions in Settings are damn annoying! Is there any way to disable them?

A. So far it works well on the H930(G), US998, VS996 and LS998. Other models may have broken RIL or bootloop. Im open for solutions regarding that.
Q. Why is my phone restarting during the Setup? Or early after it booted?
A. If you use a MicroSD in exfat, that can be the cause. The exfat drivers are for some reason really picky when it comes to that. Change to ext4 or NTFS or so.
Dis developer is crazy!!! ..... In a good way <3
Tested all Roms, running perfectly fine.
*twinkle @ vibration*
I probably should wait for noobs unbrick guide before installing. I have been looking for info if H930 roms are compatible with H930DS, but not found yet.
Thank you for your awesome work SGCMarkus!

First we need more info how the single and dual SIM device differ in kernel ramdisk and built kernel itself,
I'm sure there are RIL/services <-> ramdisk (ROM) and kernel config changes necessary to make it work on the H930DS.
Anyone on H930DS tried one of the ROMs out ?
Is access to microSD working ?
According to amazon.de it's supposedly a hybrid slot so you either have microSD or SIM 2,
that needs to be taken care of in hard- and software (ROM, kernel, etc.).
There were quite a few changes necessary to get it working on e.g. Sony Xperia Z5, not sure how it's set up on the LG V30 / V30+

Sorry my bad haha bad flash I reflash again and it works
But encounter black screen when try to turn on the screen by pressing power button I need to double click to go in camera and press home button then it will bring me to home screen or else is black screen
Thanks a million.
Running on VS996 converted to US998. I factory reset and wiped all data. Boots up and somewhere in the setup (this happened twice when done setting up wifi and continuing) it just freezes, goes to a black screen (does have nav bar and status bar) but then restarts. Still trying to get it setup. I did not root, but I used BeansGappsMini-arm64-8.1-5X6P for gapps and that is all I flashed.
Edit: Seems to bug out everytime when you go passed wifi setup even if you skip the setup.

Thanks for the ROM, it's awesome that someone is compiling this!
Would you be able to reupload the previous release? The current Mega link is corrupt (file is about 100MB too small) and I'm experiencing the same wifi issue that's being reported in the mainline herolte 15.1 thread.
@Critique I had no time to test your last two builds (X-mas stress), but I already downloaded them and I can confirm that the 20181208 build is approx.. 100 MB too small.

hello,
First of all I want to say thank you because I am trying to ungooglize me and it is not so easy.
I am really surprised thant in xda there are so few people in that idea.
So thank you to critique to deliver us a rom "all in one and ready to use" without the beast.
Last night I tried to dirty flash the new release (build 04/01/2019) and it bloqued the phone on the screen "Samsung".
Hopefully I managed to come back to the TWRP and to flash the old release (Built 14/12/2018) (without the wifi?)
My question is: Did somebody manage to install the new release ? and
- If yes does he knows why I did not manage to...?
- If no,
What is the last build working fine (and with wifi)?
Critique could you rebuild your new release please?
Thanks, B.

Installed the new build today. Same behavior for me. Phone doesn't boot anymore and stuck on Samsung Galaxy S7 Bootscreen.
---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:18 PM ----------
For people who don't know.
When S7 gets stuck in bootscreen, press for approx. 10 sec Volume down + the power button until the screen gets black. Then Change immediately to volume up + power button + home to get in Recovery.

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and we are now based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the GZOSP team, if it concerns their code base. This ROM isn't GZOSP supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

PIE-h930/h93210-h930
-The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
-It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
-If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)

Bugs on Android 10 and their solution:
1. Hotspot only works on open i.e. no security
2. Wifi may or May not work for you
If it doesn't work then try:-
1. Flash oreo modem
2. If oreo modem doesn't work then use this fix: https://t.me/LGV30U/150
even both these steps may not fix the wifi for some.
3. Recent Google Maps doesn't work, use Google maps go or older google maps version like 10 or .84
4. Google chrome works only on Gapps with Webview patched like Nikgapps
5. Doesn't work on H932 yet, no workaround for that.

You need to use gcam the one built into rom doesn't work.
Finally butter smoothness!!
I've been using it for about 24 hours now and I really like it. With all of my usual apps installed, I'm not experiencing any lag that I experience with other ROMs. So far so good. ME LIKEY!!

@tech_infinity, I've linked this list in my ROOT STICKY GUIDE to let people know before they update to stock Pie just to run Android 10 ROMs -- then wish they hadn't, because for now they may still want to run LOS-16 ROMs? If you are keeping an updated list of issues/solutions besides here, let me know and I'll link that instead.
I know no one reads sticky guides anyway, but still we can't say we didn't try to tell them.

You can always replicate it somewhere else if you wish, and I'll change the link to wherever you want.
This thread is fine -- but some day you may wish to start a dedicated "Android 10" ROMs Tips/Guide thread. That is the future and while I can answer some general ROM questions, you are the expert on various V30 custom ROMs.

Yeah that's a good idea, thought had crossed my mind especially with so many people using aosp ROMs with incorrect firmware or incorrect kernel then reporting problems.
Haha, far from an expert but I try. Thanks :fingers-crossed:
I'll start thinking about an Android 10 or AOSP Tips/Guide thread and make it in some time.
I'll also keep a post exclusively about bugs on that thread and then you can link that:fingers-crossed:
