Carbon ROM
Liquid Smooth ROM
I am currently running Liquid Smooth, but I'd like to know the difference between the two. I asked in the thread but no one responded to me any help would be greatly appreciated!
Try them both out and see which you like best! I use CarbonRom & love it. I can't really tell you about LiquidSmooth though because I only tested it once a few months ago.

Read the OP of the rom and/or flash it and find out for yourself.
I like to break stuff!

It's a little difficult to list all the features. I really just suggest you make a nandroid backup of your current setup & then flash CarbonRom to try it out for a little! Then you can always go back if you don't like it since you made a backup.

I'm currently on Carbon v1.3, but I think the differences between the two are nominal at best.
This is directly from the CarbonRom goo.im page:
Android 4.2.2
PIE
Xposed Framework (May cause stability or performance issues - use at your own risk!)
Comprehensive speed enhancements, including Linaro -O3 and processor-specific optimizations
Unofficial Voodoo Sound support on Note 2 and i9300 devices.
Option to hide lockscreen hints
Carousel lockscreen
Customizable lockscreen buttons and sliders
Chronus clock widget
Customizable hardware and software keys
Transparent navbar and status bar
Customizable navbar ring
Navbar arrow keys
Navigation bar widgets
Customizable power menu
Notification power widget
Notification brightness adjustment
Customizable quicksettings panel
Statusbar mods including center clock and color
LCD Density
Theme engine
Quiet hours
Volume rocker music controls
Full Rotation
Customizable battery and notification light
More that haven't even been mentioned, and more to come!
I know that Liquid doesn't have a feature list or changelog on their xda thread, but I have used it in the past. When I look at the list of items in CarbonRom, I can't see any that weren't available in LiquidSmooth. Maybe PIE wasn't available, I honestly can't really remember (I don't use it on CarbonROM anyways, any place I docked it would mess up one of my normal actions).
In my opinion, they're both extremely smooth, have excellent battery life, and are being developed. I personally like flashing updates more than the normal person (which I know could very well be a bad thing), so I went with Carbon since recently the updates have been more frequent (I have held off on 1.4, though, since I've heard of some issues in it that would affect my everyday use).
Anyways, as most people on here have already said (in much fewer words than I've used), any differences are minor and as long as you TB and Nandroid backup your stuff, you should be able to test-drive both ROMs in an afternoon and see which one you like.

Thank you. I was reading through the thread and I also saw a lot of problems with the new version. So I think I'll hold off. Plus the fact that Liquid is coming out with a huge update by the weekend!
If you're a fan of the cLock, CarbonRom's version isn't completely functional.

Starting from now, I'm gonna be building ROMs (Unofficially supported) using a build server,
which means I'm gonna be able to provide you updates more frequently and uninterruptedly
But in order to afford for the server's renting cost, I need your help with that,
I'll be providing this announcement in all ROMs' threads that were made using the server,
and I'll be adding a directly donation link to the server here and in my signature,
hoping that you guys would donate so that working on this server will continue

Here is the server's website: GothDroid.com
and here is our G+ page: GothDroid - Team for Xperia
And thanks to @necrotic-nosphe for his great work on maintaining the server
and to @Alx31TLse for his great help and for introducing me to the server

Hi,
I saw you are handling most of the ROMs for Z1 Compact. I think, in my opinion, that all would be interested in Resurrection Remix ROM.
Can you please have in mind creating a new release of it?
Thanks.

I'm interested in it too, though the project is dead until the release of Android Lolipop (as the project dev said) which gonna be on 3 Nov
which means the project should be back to life in less than two weeks (lets hope so at least :angel

Omar.

I´ve tested it, it´s very nice rom, big problem with stock is all bloatware, custom roms are overloaded with settings of all kind. Dark CM has only the best, like it. Only problem for me is how to freeze the built in performance controller, i prefer faux or trickster
the rom works fine! no issues! for me the best rom for the Z1C (phone from my grilfriend)
big thx :good:

Salam Omar,
I just picked up the phone this weekend. Wonderful ROM.
I'm having a FORCE CLOSE on the menu button (square) with the newest release.
I'm also having issues with the camera button on the phone, quickly turning on the screen to display the camera with a pin enabled.
Otherwise, terrific work!

One of the main features I like about AOSP Extended and Resurrection Remix is the included navigation bar customizations like Smartbar. Smartbar comes with a feature called Pulse which shows an audio visualization that can change colors.
I saw that neither AEX or RR included this feature in Android 9.0, but it is present in 8.1. Does anyone know if development is being done to port this feature, and if so, where can I keep up to date with it? Thanks
Yeah I'm so waiting for that feature to be ported to android 9, I hope it's possible!

RR-P did not even released. I think after official release of lineageos 16, they gonna start releasing rr pie. and also i am waiting for additional settings on rr
I recently bought a 7T Pro and I wanted a little bit of customization. Most important to me are custom actions for the navigation bar, like kill an app by long pressing a button, and a custom status bar, like having a 1px high bar on the top of the bar that displays the battery percentage instead of an icon.
But I have bad experience with custom ROMs and I know that some of them aren't really stable. I was using HavocOS on my OnePlus 3T for a long time and with every update it got worse. The system UI was often not responding and crashed quite regularly even though I made a fresh reinstall.
I want to avoid flashing a ROM like HavocOS but I would really like to have the possibility to customize my phone. Are there ROMs out there that are stable and have the customization options that I described?

Improve your OnePlus 7T Pro's battery life, performance, and look by rooting it and installing a custom ROM, kernel, and more.
