Yesterday I inserted a micro SIM card into the slot which should take in normally the SIM card tray.
The card fits perfectly
But when I noticed my mistake I couldn't remove this card.
No chance with the SIM removal tool.
No chance with a paper clip.
No chance with a tweezers.
Maybe anybody here with an idea?
My last chance is to open the Pixel XL, but it should be the LAST chance!
Thank you!

I have inserted sim card tray in the wrong way, and it has stuck (without a sim). I can't remove it. Guarantee guy told me that it's immpossible to remove it without crashing phone main board, but I cant believe it... I think it should be removed somehow without damaging phone, because it looks so simple issue, but without fixing it, i can't use my new phone...
How i should remove this tray form the slot?
Your not alone. There are others who messed up when inserting sim card slot, but unlike you, others inserted simcard somewhat rough i think and screwed up the board.. So Huawei ended up putting a video tutorial: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/mobile-phones/support/downloads/p6-u06-en.htm#anchor

That's a video about how to insert your sim card into the phone, not how to solve a problem like inserting the sim card case the wrong way, so that video doesn't really help solving something, it's just a tutorial on how to insert not on how to eject a sim card case inserted wrong.
Well, open the phone and solve the problem...or take it to someone who repairs phones...
So, I got the g-pad in the mail today. When I opened the sim card slot there was no tray, and I slid the sim. IT says the sim card is not inserted or inserted wrong. Of course when I look it up I see I need a tray or the sim card which is stuck in the tablet... What should I do? Is there an easy way to get the sim card out, or do I need to go to verizon, and hope they will help me out.
Tweezers?
Too far back
I have a problem. I started getting a no sim card error awhile back and if I played around with my sim card for a little while and put tape on the back it worked. Eventually though it just quit. So I ordered a new sim card tray and put it in but in the process I broke the clip on the daughterboard that holds it down... So i ordered the daughterboard as well and have installed it and EVERYTHING works on the phone except the stupid Sim Card work. I have actually tried two different new sim card trays because I thought maybe I had a dud. I have also gotten a new sim card and tried it out in other phones.
I have the latest Skydragon gpe rom installed on a stock At&t phone any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem, try the original flex cable between the main and daughter board.

I don't believe so. While the slot 2 is large enough for a micro Sim, I believe it wouldn't work. Slot 1 uses a nano Sim and slot 2 either a nano Sim or micro SD card. The SD card is oriented one direction and the Sim is oriented a different direction in the 2nd slot. I've never seen an adapter that would make the nano sit sideways in the 2nd slot and I doubt that old micro Sim would trim down that much without cutting into the metal. Surely your carrier will replace the old card with a newer all-in-one Sim.
Maybe the folks that have a dual sim phone will have more of an idea on this.
Hi @Tel864
I thought maybe something like that for S9:
https://www.amazon.com/UTP-Universal-Adapter-Extender-Android/dp/B07C7G35L6
where i can attach this in the sim slot and put my micro sim extern
any idea
thanks

I've never seen that. Something like that may work but I'm not sure about that one since it's for a different brand. When I searched for Galaxy S9 Sim card adapter in Google I did get lots of hits so you might try that. The one you posted is from a 3rd party seller so I'm not sure how easy it would be to return.
If you look at the different sizes of sim card, full sized, micro and nano have the same pin layout, it is just the plastic borders that differs. It could be a bit risky but you could cut the plastic edge off and make them into a nano sim without any trouble. I've done this and it works perfectly on my s9. Don't know if the chip under the contact pad is bigger on older sims though.

People have recently been reporting those adapters being recognised by the OS and rejected with a warning about a problem with the SIM Tray
Why not just get the SIM card replaced with a Nano SIM?
Or trim it yourself if the chip itself is small enough

Might work, but some of those old Sims had a larger contact area, especially those 16 year old ones like he has.
I'm coming across from the Note 8 and I have been running two sims plus an SD card inbthe hybrid slot. When I install the same in the Note 10 it says something is wrong with the Sim tray slot. There is zero function of the phone till I remove the Aim card slot.
Does anyone know why it won't work in the Note 10 or someone has it working?
Thanks

Unfortunately Samsung stopped this from happening.
Now, if all circuits (2x sim and 1x sd card) are detected in use, the device displays the Sim tray error and prevents you using the device until you remove either a sim card or the sd card.
This was introduced on Note 8 on certain firmwares and now applies to all newer released hybrid sim devices.
I'm guessing this is to avoid users damaging their devices as the hybrid sim tray was never designed to support all 3 circuits at once and did require some skill to ensure sim tray could still be inserted/removed.
I too was annoyed this happened, but can understand it is to prevent warranty issues.

It's there a way to get around this?
So what I managed to do if anyone else is in the same situation as me is. I took the sim/SD out and I can't remove the sim card from the SD card because the SD card holds it in the correct place. So I just copied all data off the SD card and painted over the connector of the SD card so it won't detect it, and now it only detects the Sim card. So both Sims are working now.
When there is a work around I will do that and use some paint remover to clear the connections of the SD card. But I do have a 1000gb SD card waiting to be filed and replace this one. I didn't use tape because I was too afraid it might come off and get stuck inside.
Because this sim is from a different country where my internet banking is linked to, is very important to have and because I dont go back to that country for 2 months I can't just ask for a replacement. So this is my best case for now.
