[Q] Huawei P6-u06 sim card slot issue - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

I have inserted sim card tray in the wrong way, and it has stuck (without a sim). I can't remove it. Guarantee guy told me that it's immpossible to remove it without crashing phone main board, but I cant believe it... I think it should be removed somehow without damaging phone, because it looks so simple issue, but without fixing it, i can't use my new phone...
How i should remove this tray form the slot?

Your not alone. There are others who messed up when inserting sim card slot, but unlike you, others inserted simcard somewhat rough i think and screwed up the board.. So Huawei ended up putting a video tutorial: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/mobile-phones/support/downloads/p6-u06-en.htm#anchor

That's a video about how to insert your sim card into the phone, not how to solve a problem like inserting the sim card case the wrong way, so that video doesn't really help solving something, it's just a tutorial on how to insert not on how to eject a sim card case inserted wrong.

Well, open the phone and solve the problem...or take it to someone who repairs phones...

[Q] SIM failure

Hello i've started to have problems with SIM card, sometimes randomly it just pops up window that SIM card is not inserted and all i can do is restart phone and even when i restart it it cannot find the SIM card, i have to pull out the battery and reinsert the SIM to make it work, it might be because of the guy at t mobile who cut the SIM card wrong and it gets dislocated in the solo and also it might be system failure so im asking is anybody else experiencing this?
Yes I experienced this. It was really annoying. I managed to fix it by removing the sim card and wiping it gently using cloth. If that didn't fix it, then ask your carrier for a new sim card, because yours might have become defective.
SIM not detected
Hello, i have the same issue.
Nothing helps. Put in and out different SIM Card's. No one of all SIM are detected.
Could it be, that a self cuted SIM, to Microsim Formfaktor, damaged the SIM Reader of my new Note?
But yesterday it works really fine with the self cuted SIM. In the Evening i put out the cuted SIM und put in a other (Origin) Microsim from an other Carrier, that works fine too.
After that, i put the cuted SIM with an Adapter into my old Desire. Then i have issues with 3G Networks. The Desire find 3G Network, connect to the Network and lost the connection immediately. When i choose only 2G Networks it would connected.
Today at the morning, i want to know what's wrong. Desire or cuted SIM. I put the cuted SIM back into my Note. Boot the Note. If it booting up, it poped up a message, that the Phone must be restart because the SIM has been changed. When the Note reboot again it, it shows a SIM Icon in the Notification Bar and tells it's no SIM Card inside. I tried the other Microsim (OEM cuted) it won't be detected too.:crying:
Does anybody have a solution for me?
Thank you i tried to clean the SIM card a little bith with cloth and spits and grits, did not happen since then, i hope it will be solved, if not i will try to get a new sim card from carrier, after all the SIM card is like +11 years old

[Q] Sim Card Reader

So about a week ago my note 2 started to not recongnize my sim card and so i went to the local store to see if my sim card had broken so he gave me a new sim card and I put it into my phone and it still says no sim inserted. So i assumed it wast the reader that had gone wrong and i bought the part to replace and one i had and looked up a video on how to do it. Well i think i did it correctly as nothing else on the phone went wrong but it still says no sim inserted even with the new reader, so now i am pretty clueless as to what the problem could be. Is there anything that i can do to fix it or is it more internally like the motherboard or something? Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated.
Thanks

[Q] Sim Card not found

I have been using the Korean LG G3 for a while with my AT&T sim card and I did not have any problems up till now. I have pulled the sim card out and put it back it multiple times now and it will still not be recognized. Does anybody have any ideas on what I should do? Thanks in advance!

Try getting a new sim card, and go from there. The issue could be that your sim card is old, or your phone does like it anymore for whatever reason. Alternatively you could try the same sim in another phone if that's an option.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have actually already switched the sim card and it is working on my other phone. So I am pretty sure something is wrong with my phone not the sim card. I have also reset my phone one time. Still nothing. Any Ideas?

You could back it up and do a hard reset this isn't ideal, but it usually fixes things.

Just hard reset it and it is still not working. I think it might be a hardware problem.

Check the slow where you put your sim card into and see if any don't look like they are contacting the card. I wouldn't mess with them, because they are fragile just look.

I looked at the pins and I'm guessing those are the ones in the top of the slot. It seems like two pins to the very right are not touching the card.

I have the same problem in my skandinavian (international (unlocked)) i think it has something to do with the boot speed(fast boot) because i got it to work when i backed my phone up and it rebooted but it always happens again when you just pull your battery out when the device is still on i factory reseted and it fixed it self permanently
I'm having a similar issue as well with the Verizon version. It won't read a micro sim (the one that was activated in it) but it will read a nano sim that I have placed in an adapter to make it fit. Both sims are Verizon, active, and have different numbers. I have no idea what the issue could be.
EDIT:
It seems as if a pin or two weren't making contact with the sim card. After putting a little piece of 3M tape on the sim card, it created enough contact and all is well.

I have the exact same problem if i put a micro sim card it wont read but if i put a nano sim with a sim tray it will work...any solution..
I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to post an update just in case someone else was having this problem. I ran into it with my VS985 a few weeks back. First it was just not reading my sim, but then got worse and wouldn't read any sim I put into it. I was able to correct it by slightly adjusting the pins on the sim reader. I took needle nose pliers/ a knife and gently bent them up a bit. After doing so the phone immediately read my sim card.
I hope this helps someone else if they encounter the same issue.
I have a similar problem. My G3 only accepts and sees one sim card, the one from my old provider. With all other sim cards there is the message "no sim card detected". I tried different working sim cards, no of them are being detected. I switched my provider a few weeks ago and since the problem exists. Before everything was fine.
I also tried adjusting the pins a little bit but so far nothing helped..
OK, I have the same issue: my G3 shows "no sim card" message. The solution is to replace the sim card/microsd slot. However, my phone is not covered by warranty anymore and the incredible honest guys here in Brasilia (Brazil) want to replace the whole main board and charge me for it. So, I'll have to replace that slot by myself. I bought two slots on eBay (search for "lg g3 sim card slot"). Micro soldering is not an easy thing, but there are some videos online that can help. And, if necessary, you can always look for a repair shop to do it for you, providing the piece (the slot). Until the slot replacement, you can try this, it's working for me: I noticed that if you ever accomplish to start the phone normally, you should never power it off to keep it going on! It seems that the sim card is "checked" only at boot time. (I managed to keep my phone connected to the operator for days, but after a stupid friend of mine restarted it, the error came again). To help getting a successful boot, with no sim card errors, I suggest to firmly press the sim card/microsd against the phone while it is starting, from the moment you release power button until the lock screen is shown. This proved to be very reliable, at least for now.

Thanks! This worked for my Sprint LG G3. Kind of a pain to boot while holding the SIM card down but it'll do until I upgrade my phone.
Also, I noticed you don't have to reboot the phone - it will also check for the SIM card when updating PRL. So you can go to Settings->System Updates->Update PRL while holding down the SIM card. Once the PRL update completes it should recognize the card.

Yes, it's hard to hold the simcard through the boot time. Here it takes 30s...
Unfortunately, GSM versions don't have PRL option. And I haven't found another way but rebooting.
Reboot your phone multiple times until it detect the sim card. Once done go to security then set up sim card lock and and enable sim code identification. Now wen you reboot your phone it will ask to enter the pin code to unlock your phone and it will detect your sim card.
The issue is because it rebbot too fast i guess.
For the boot loop issue change your battery.
Thanks all, i set little schotch tape on my card now it can recognize it!
SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH!
The pressing down during startup method worked for me! Took a few tries though, and it only worked when I removed the micro SD and pressed directly on the SIM.

LG G3 not detecting my SIM (or number?).

hello everyone
recently my lg g3 started giving me 10 Seconds then reboot (after SIM card became not detected). this happened maybe once or twice a day then it gradually became worse till the point of not detecting my Sim at all. I put my SIM card in another phone and it worked just fine.
i then tried my Sister's sim and it didnt work too but my brother's and dad's both worked. any idea what is causing this problem? could it be Software related?
things i tried to do to solve the problem (but didn't work):
1-transfer my phone number to a brand new SIM card.
2-clean with the SIM reader with medical alcohol.
3-put a folded paper between the SIM card and the SIM card reader (worked for a moment then suddenly stopped for ever).
4-hard reset the phone.
any idea on what could be the problem?
EDIT: through my search on google, i could only find one thread on xda related to my problem and i didn't notice the one bellow mine.
but the one mentioned earlier is not identical to mine so i'm keeping this thread.
You probably need to reflow the sim card reader.

shouldn't the problem be with the pings touching the sim or am i missing something? i will try to melt and freeze the solder on the sim reader pins that are connected to the motherboard and post the outcome though.

Most likely the problem is sim card slot not touching the motherboard correctly.
Qcn problems. Try to backup your qcn (please googel it how to backup qcn). And then clean partition that contain your imei, radio and esn (google it how to do it). Restore again with QPST. Hope will solve your problem.

Sorry for my bad English and thankyou for reading !
you can put tape on the sim card and then put it in, make sure its tight some times cage for sim card get loose and it wont press sim hard enough to read, or you can manually press and hold the sim card inside that sim card holder to see if that works, if thats not work then you have to get that sim card reader replace
Yes, that's work, thankyou so much bro !
