Hi, I have the LG G3 F400K (Korean Version) and I am having trouble in setting up the coversation view in my phone, you know when you get a text message and you read it and reply, all threads show up in 1 message,(this is how it used to be on my LG G2) and now when I am getting replies from the same person, it comes in as a brand new message, it doesn't show the complete thread of all the messages sent and received under 1 message.
I have gone into settings on the Standard SMS App but the only options is coversation theme, I am unable to change it to a threaded view all in 1?
How can I change this?
Thanks
Same issue here. Weird that it works like that. Maybe they think this is a feature.
I don't want to give it up as it is a pretty good message program, but if this cant be fixed I will have to use Handcent.

Thanks 30 Seconds, I was worried it was a fault with my device. I have also contacted LG Customer Care regarding it, they advised me to do a Hard Reset on it and it should fix it? But I am dubious at doing this as I have the Korean Version (F400K) and if I do this, it may set everything back to the Korean Language, then I will be totally up the creek....
Hi there,
I got the most weird problem ever and I'm not able to resolve it. By accident I blocked the contact which sends me my mTAN for online banking.
Of course you would suggest me to unblock the contact but exactly that's my problem. It doesn't work. I think it is some kind of bug because the contact has a name instead of a number, anyways, I need it to be unblocked.
From what I understand messages from blocked contacts should still be received but without notification and only shown in the messages list for blocked contacts. Still, even there are no messages.
Either my bank has problems sending messages or its really my phone sucking up the messages.
I wiped my phone, even though htc backup restored most of the stuff, I tried wiping data for the messages app, yet the blocked contact remains.
Do you guys have any ideas or suggestions on how I can resolve my problem?
Regards

Hi guys,
I noticed that there is a glitch with HTC One phones where you can have someone on the block list (which is suppose to block calls, sms, and mms) however the mms still goes through? I reached out to HTC and they said that that shouldn't be the case and that my carrier is allowing that to happen. My carrier is Rogers (TORONTO,CANADA)
Has anyone on here found a solution for this or come across this, if not try it out yourself and see if it works. I rather not have to root my phone for this issue to be fixed.

Hi, I have Verizon. I haven't been able to come up with a solution for MMS blocking. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to block MMS and the 3rd party apps that say they block them, do not.
I don't even get the option on my Verizon HTC ONE m8 (Lollipop). All the instructions say to click on the message, click on the 3 dots, and click "add to block list". Nope. There is no option at all for me to block any SMS. Anyone know why this is happening?
Hello,
I had a quick look through old post and only one person pointed the problem and nobody answered with a solution
How do you access the previsou sms already received?
I can see every sms popping on my watch, I can answer them. But if I want to read previous ones or a different thread I can't find find any access to it. I don't see any way of doing it?
No icons on the list of app. no proposition of seeing sms when choosing a contact.
I installed different sms reader on my phone, all compatible with wear, with no differences.
It has to be possible, I can't believe this function does not exist.
Thanks for helping me.
Vincent
Have you tried Hangouts?
I use Wear Messenger and you can scroll through previously received messages (at least those you received since installing the app)

Had all versions of Galaxy in my life and was using default Messages application's feature that blocks SMS if it's text contains words that are blacklisted. In my old S8 phone, I had this option and really loved it. In S9, they removed this feature. But I heard some regions have this feature. So if anyone knows, how to enable this, please help. Don't need to install 3rd party app for this... Just need to enable "Block phrases" option. Photos are included of my old S8 and new S9.

My CSC is SER. Also tried to change CSC with secret code but menu is not showing up. (Needs factory reset to show up, as I know)
Can someone confirm this func on different CSC? If yes, I will probably flash firmware or factory reset if it will work.
Yes, in the Galaxy S9 models, the Messages App is 5.0+ version.
In the Galaxy S8 models, the Messages App is 4.4 version and contains block phrases feature.
I don't understand this changes, removing good features from basic apps like messages.
Now we need to install another messages app.
very bad update .it is really strange to remove good feature like block phrases in SMS app
+1 here too.
This is needed to keep promotional messages silenced!
I am in the UK with BTU CSC, i dont have the 'block phrases' option in the message settings, i am on ver 5.0.11.8, latest i believe.
Bring back spam blockers
The S\9 needs to bring back the phrase blocker for sms and the spam ID for phone. They were valuable in my S7.
Cannot believe they have done this. What app are ppl using instead?

Nothing, I don't understand what this setting does? Block phrases?
If I am getting texts from someone I don't want to receive them from I block their number, then they can't text or call at all
Spam texts can be sent with Phrases. Block Phrases allows you to insert Phrases rather than numbers to block them. However in Oreo it's no longer working.

You must get a lot of spam texts, blocking numbers is more than enough for me, I don't even remember if I've had a spam text
Telephone preference service is active too
There is an option for "Blocked messages" in Oreo, separate from blocked numbers, I'm guessing that blocks messages that are the same from different numbers, similar to phrases
Don't worry about it. Your not helping. Cya

I use Android messages and have since the first time I looked at Samsung's version. As for block phrases I have never seen a need for something like that since I can block the sender.
removing the spam phrase , make the S9, S9+ look stupid, a real stupid phone

Well "block their number" option doesn't work for all promotional messages. Maybe it's something specific for my country, but I often receive SMS messages from senders with no number (only company name is shown in sender details), and it is not possible to block those any other way than using phrases.. which is also not possible now.

I found it useful for minimizing spammy messages from folks I did not wish to block. With the S8+ I blocked a few key phrases, and minimized the spam from my siblings that abuse that annoying "liked/loved/whatever" feature n iMessaging. I didn't want to block my sister. However, I don't care if she "likes" every text message in a group - and sure don't want to be spammed by it all day. Best I've been able to do against this nuisance is to silence that group's notifications, since they took out the "block phrases" option.
I guess no one has found a way to do this? Has anyone switched to a 3rd party app that has this functionality? I really don't want to because I like using Samsung Themes with the default messaging app, but I need this option back.
For people asking "why" we need this, here's an example:
The person who had my phone number before I got it last year apparently had a lot of financial problems and gave her phone number to every loan and insurance scam on earth, so I get about 10-15 calls per day from unknown numbers (which I block now, so they don't bother me), and about as many texts. The texts come from a different number each time, all saying things like "<Person's name>, you can be approved for auto insurance for $10/month!" or whatever. But they all have the person's name in the message, so I used to just block any texts containing her very unusual name, problem solved. Until I got a shiny new Note 9 which no longer has this functionality. (Darn you, Samsung!) I've blocked at least 20 numbers in the last week, and I just keep getting more from other numbers.
