I tried kingroot, kingoroot but they won't work
you can root your android one marshmallow without the computer if you have a custom recovery installed in your device then all you need to do is install a custom kernel (zues or thunderzap) after than you need flash supersu for marshmallow thats it
Android m didn't support direct root.... u r have custom recovery then flash super su.zip or root via android one toolkit

So as the title says, i want to update my phone to kitkat and i have no knowledge of all this flashing rom n installing recovery.
All I've done so far is root my phone with KingRoot app and I've no idea what to do next. Can anyone provide me step-by-step instructions for flashing recovery ,kitkat rom and all that's needed.
Note: I do not want to use PC for all this.
I want to change custom rom, i need to go back to stock rom right, but i accidentally deleted my backup . Can anyone give a simple method about flashing stock rom? Im having trouble understanding the 2 guides posted in this forum.
Use the Lenovo assistant software... Can restore your phone even with root... Just download the program... Install it... Choose the rescue option... Follow inscreen steps... And voiala... Testing in my k5 plus L37....
I have Lenovo vibe p1a42 mobile and it has marshmallow 6.0.1 OS is installed. I want to install custom rom in my mobile. so for that I have unlocked bootloader.
Bootloader successfully unlocked.

I would like to install a custom ROM on it but need help
What do I need to do before I do that? Do I need to root my tablet? Or just go on a website and install the custom rom?
I dont really need to 'backup' anything as I just have apps, which I dont mind reinstalling
