Earlier today, i was going to install drivers for chainfire3D on my 4.1.2 stock rom on my N7100 international.
After the drivers installed my phone got stuck in the welcome screen (the first one that shows up after starting the phone).
It should be said that I'm pretty new to rooting, flashing, etc. But of course I wouldn't let that, or any number of warning messages during the installation stop me.
So my question is, how do I do (if possible) a full factory reset? I can't get the phone connected via Kies, naturally, and I can't find a firmware file for my region (Norway).
If I could find a firmware file for my region, could I just install it via Odin? If so, where can I find one? Closest I've come is a Greece firmware on samsung-updates.com

Link should be good now, posted the wrong one first (didn`t log in)
Finally got it running again after flashing original rom!
Thank you gee2012 for the info. This was a load off my chest!
I just picked up an i747 for my wife to use and need to unlock it for SmartTalk. It came running 4.1.2 and everything I see says you have to first downgrade to 4.1.1 to unlock. The trouble is I can't find a working copy of the 4.1.1 firmware anywhere. I signed up for that SamMobile site but the 172MB download seems to be corrupt (tried it on two PCs).
Links on other sites are all long gone. Is there another way of unlocking this phone at this point? If not, does anyone have a copy of the 4.1.1 firmware that I can flash with Odin?

Much appreciated, but I'm getting a failed "aboot" message on the screen when I try to flash it in Odin, which is odd because this isn't even a Canadian phone. I kid, I kid. The message in Odin itself is write operation failed.
What's odd is the sticker under the battery says SGH I747 (and the boot logo is AT&T), but under "Download Mode" for Odin it shows up as T999, which is the T-Mobile version.
Any ideas?
I have a 9195 running 4.2.2 stock. it was under the EUR csc and I tried to install a 4.4.2 through odin but it failed and now my phone is bricked. kies won't recognize it and it keeps turning when I insert it so I cant emergency recover the firmware. trying to download my old one but its not on sammobile anymore and its taking hours to download from this other random website I found. any clues as to why I couldn't flash it? does it have to do with my CSC? I was on EUR and I was trying to flash a branded one. but the brand is the my phone carrier and even though I dindt get it from them I figured it'd be okay

i wouldn't suggest to flash branded ones for non branded phones but anyway, you could try flashing mine from the unbrick/downgrade guide.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2751224
make sure to follow the guide completely

This is what i do when it appears to say failed, i flash a stock recovery that should be in the attachments added to this post, put your phone into download mode, connect it up, wait for odin to see our device, then load the recovery into odin and hit start then it should restart and be in 4.4.2.

Hey guys, so I bricked my T-Mobile Note 2 that was on Jelly Bean 4.3. I was trying to unroot it and I flashed the wrong firmware with Odin, although it was still a firmware for T-Mo. Now when the device tries to boot up, it gets to the black screen with the Samsung logo on it and stays there. I need the T889UVUCMK7 firmware and I tried downloading it from Sam-Mobile but that website requires you to buy a premium account to download fast (why?...) or suffer through 15 kb/s which is currently at 0% after downloading with a 40 mb/s connection and is expected to finish in 7 hours. The other site I tried was Samsung-updates which uses rapidgator and it downloads even slower than Sam-Mobile. So yes, I'm desperate because the device is my uncles and he wanted to unroot it since it was given to him by his son. He has work in the morning and simply can't wait til the next day to fix it. If anyone has the T889UVUCMK7 firmware, please help me out. thanks.
tl;dr: desperately need the T889UVUCMK7 firmware to flash to a bricked T-Mo Note 2. Device belongs to uncle who has work in the morning and it's late night. Tried Sam-Mobile but it downloads really slow because you have to pay for premium.... (why?...) and tried Samsung-update but links you to rapidgator to download even slower then Sam-Mobile! Thanks for your help xda.

I know it's too late now, but you could have just downloaded a stock rooted ROM from Mr. Robinson here.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975560
If you need to unroot, just do it through the SU app.
Greetings,
I'm super new here, also a tech noob so pls be gentle.
I purchased an unlocked At&T Note 10+, and i am living in Malaysia. Little that I know At&T would never send updates to out network, and that I require an At&t SIM in order to get the updates. Currently I am stucked with Android 9, ONE UI 1.5, with no hope of getting anything higher than that.
My question is, how can i get the updates besides flashing a new firmware? I tried connecting to Smart Switch on my laptop, and all it can says is that my software is up to date on SJ8 (ATT).
Hope there's a way other than flashing. HELP.

Hi Mohd Azrimny,
Am in the same boat as you. In Malaysia and have the note 10 plus at&t version. How did you manage? I am using Odin and getting error message connection failed. Not sure what is the problem.
Can you point me from where you downloaded the firmware? I am suspecting that is the culprit.
Thanks!

I'm sorry but I don't think there's other way around, you'll need to flash another firmware.
I have an Unlocked Verizon Note10+, the first thing I did after getting it out of the box was flash the unbranded firmware (CSC: XAA).
Ever since, I've had OTA updates as quick as they're released for N975U1.

I see...tq man. Can u help me out with one last thing? As they are thousands of firmware out there, which one should i choose? Can i simply choose any unbranded firmware (N975U1) from any month security updates n just flash it? I just need a stock ROM, not the latest should be ok as the OTA will take care of the rest.
Right now i'm at nov 2019 security updates SJ8 (ATT).
Thanks in advance.

Well, unfortunately I'm not sure about previous versions, however I'm leaving attached my SW information, my CSC is XAA.
You can download it from sammobile or frija (this is way faster).
Hope this helps,
Regards.
So, knowing you are a noob is half the solution already...
I highly recommend you look for Frija on the internet. Download the tool, search for the phone you have , it is a SM-N975U , and since you want to get rid from the AT&T version, you can install the SM-N975U1 version with XAA as CSC, that Samsung themselves push updates to. Even if they will not, you can always download the next revisions..
I assume you know how to use Odin..

No worries, as Odin and the phone check revisions and suitability. If not the right firmware, it should not write it.

and after a month or so, it cant detect my local carrier as well (maxis) and i receive a message constantly about the sim is not verizon sim
so i was hoping , flashing the firmware would eliminate this problem
what i did was :
1) download odin v3.14
2)download frija 1.4.3
3) download firmware SM-n975u1 csc XAA from frija
4)tried to flash using odin..and failed multiple time
5)tried download a patched version of odin 3.14
6)download a bunch of other firmware from USA verizon, malayisia and others
7)failed and failed and failed again
so sifu please help me?where did i go wrong? will flashing new firmware fix my carrier problem? or its a verizon issue?because it was working fine a month ago ..please help..
