Hello, i bought a2 lite a week earlier. Till today the phone charged quitr fast, like 010 percent in 15min,but after giving the Android 9.0 update the fast charging seems disabled. Would appreciate some suggestions. Thank you.
For me fast charging works under Android Pie. Try charging the phone when its off or disable wifi and screen when charging.
Thanks for your reply. I tried to charge the phone while both wifi and screen is off.Even then its charging quite slowly
I have the same problem!

I suffered same problem after pie update. But factory reset solved my problem. Also, I disabled digital wellbeing and a few bloatware. My charging is very fast again now..
Ahh thanks. Just wanted to know did you give the simple factory reset from phone settings or used software or smth else
Tbh i have quite less knowledge about resets so feeling a bit anxious to move forward

I just bought Xperia Acro S device, I was quite happy with the stunning mobile, I installed apps and all seems work smoothly till I rebooted the device for some reason, I found out that the battery is getting down till it went about 5%, I then reset the phone and it worked fine again, I left it on charge till getting about 25% and then rebooted it again to firgure out what will happen, as I expected it is not charging even the battery shwos charging status and the led as well. would you please help me what to do, I read many threads regarding this issue, none of them helped 100%, is not reasonable to stop rebooting my device or reseting it after each reboot. help pleaaaaaaase

Do you have a unlocked bootloader? If you do then try flashing a custom kernel with offline charging. It maybe because of faulty battery too.

Thanx for reply Sumdha. I do not think it is a battery issue, it is relevant to software for sure. During past hours I noticed that the Wifi has a problem as well. When I reboot the device when WiFi is on, it does not respond on startup and the charging problem persists, If I turned it off before rebooting everything works fine, I know it seems weird but that what is going on
BL is locked, I have no intention to flash custom kernel, I did that before with my Arc S, it was such a big headache.

This is weird. Anyway, unlocking bootloader is not such a PIA as you think it is, Its very easy and in my opinion a phone with a locked bootloader is just like an icecream stored in refrigerator. You will never be able to enjoy all that your phone can provide unless you unlock your bootloader. Rest is upto you.

Hello again..You might be interested to know that I solved it very simply, the problem seems to pop up when I power on device while it is on charge, I simply disconnect it, power on, and it works fine:good:..I know that unlocking boatloader is quite easy, I have already done that many times.
Anyway, I like what you posed about icecream in refregirator, but I am more into jelly bean

Haha. Good news. Enjoy. Its entirely up to you what you want to do with your phone.
I updated to Lollipop this week and a serious issue I am facing is that the display turns ON automatically once the charging reaches 100% and then stays ON.
I keep my phone on overnight charging and finding it warm in the morning as display was ON from the point it was fully charged.
Any solution? This is a serious issue as it can damage phone and even charger. I am using wireless charger. Never had this issue with kitkat.
No one faced this problem?
Thanks
Hi,
I had the issue on Stock Lollipop from LG, I switched to AndroidNow (8.0), no more issue with that ! Looks like it's with LG's version...
Last thing I'm trying to get rid of, is the wireless charging that turns the screen on when finished charging, and then turns on every few minutes ... It's quite annoying !

Thanks, so are you saying that the second issue is still there? I just reverted to kitkat purely because of it (and partly because of head-up notifications)
Yes indeed, the second one is still there... At least it's not turned on all the time and hot, but I can't use it at night because of it. I use wireless charging only at my office while looking forward for a solution...
Some say they'll stick to KK, but I love the smooth Lollipop and few updates it brings
Mostly : Agent for known devices and places for unlocking without code (With my Pebble, and at home, very usefull) and the layout for opened apps, the fact that Lollipop put back in after rebooting etc...

Thanks, I agree with you that lollipop is smooth but I really don't want to damage my phone if it stays ON during the night (I always keep it for overnight charge). I also disliked head-up notification and lock screen notifications which if I turned off, creates undesirable side effect with incoming calls. Reduced battery life is another observation. Maybe those are specific to LG stock version but will wait for other ROMs to address those issues.
I got the same problem an it is annoying like hell. Holy crap, updating to Lollipop made this phone so utterly crappy.
Is the I any solution to this?

No, this problem and heads-up notification forced me to move back to KK. Hope it gets resolved soon.
I am on the edge of doing it aswell. What good is a fast phone for if basic stuff does not work. I am waking up more or less each night now because the friggin display is lighting up my room.
Having the same problem. Keep screen on setting in developer options does nothing. One thing I've noticed is if I wirelessly charge my S5 with the screen locked it doesn't turn off but if I place the phone on the charger with the screen on and unlocked the screen will go off until the lock phone after so long option gets enabled. Either way my wireless charger isn't strong enough to charge the phone with the screen on so all it does is drain the battery and overheat it. We need a cure.
Hi XDA,
My friend her G3 randomly shuts down sometimes, and it's impossible to boot it again for a while. After several hours it'll boot again on its own, and it seems like it went into some sort of hibernation since she doesn't have to enter her pin or anything.
Things she tried include removing the battery, holding down the power button for a long duration and charging the phone. Last time this happened the phone was at roughly 30% battery.
Does anyone here maybe have an idea what it could be or what a possible solution would be? It sounds like a very strange and improbably issue to me.
Thanks for reading!

This is due to kernal panic.
Flash stock firmware may be this will fix your problem

From next time i will try to mention all the possible reasons
Thank you straight flashing back stock may be a quick fix most of the time but we dont figure out the cause so we end up in the same boat cause we try to tweak the same tweaks. I dont claim to have the answers and yours could be correct. And i also accept critisism if im wrong

This could be a battery error. Is your battery old or new?. Otherwise it could be a kernel issue which can be caused by under volting or other tweaks within the kernel. If you are on stock ROM with stock kernel the only option is bad battery or hardware issue. Try factory resetting your phone if this doesn't work it is likely to be a hardware issue
It started yesterday with me trying to charge my phone in the car getting only 10% every hour. Eventually, My battery died that day and then again refused to charge with my normal sony charger or a friend's Samsung charger. It didn't connect to my laptop as well. I have done a factory reset. I've gone into safe mode. Still, hasn't charged. The only way I can charge my phone now is when I switch it off and then hold the volume up and power button till a blue notification light which I think is force charging it. I got it to 100% yesterday, everything works just fine it's just I'm not able to connect my phone to my laptop to reset or fix the software. I'm not able to charge the phone while its on.
I hope I don't need to take this to the service center to get fixed, cause service here where I stay is unbearable.
Hope one of you guys have a solution for me!

Hi, you really need to be a bit more descriptive if you want someone to help
What is your setup? Unlocked? Rooted? MM or LP? Stock or Customized, etc...

I dont think it's the battery or it wouldn't charge in any condition but anyway if you're pure stock try with PC Companion, it might not be charging but it's recognized right?

Mmmh, that sonds more like a port issue... Something happened to the usb connector on the phone itself? It's certainly and odd behaviour. Not having a conncetion to your handset restricts your options unfortunately. Just to be sure you've tried on another PC so you may want to do a SW reset as the only possibility other than taking it in to Sony Service. Who knows, with a bit a luck a full reset will resolve your problem
Did you manage to find out how to fix. I'm having the exact same problem
Three months back i faced same problem. I pressed the back of my phone where the NFC sign N and then press the middle of the phone. After that insert the cable and my phone started scharging. Secondly insert charging cable with sony adpoter and start pressing back side of your mobile on different location. I hope it will work.
Thanks for the tip. I tried and it did not work tho
Maybe the slow charge setting is on? Try disabling all features (auto adjust brightness etc)
Just for giggles try to set to ultra power save mode and see if it fixes it.
And another problem with the July update (the most f****d up update ever! lol)
After fully charging the phone (with the OEM charger) I noticed that the touch screen became very unresponsive especially with the navigation buttons. Strange but I never faced such a problem before this update.
Hello, I have exactly the same problem.
The screen is less responsive and very difficult to use.

The first thing you should do is factory reset.
No touch on LCD. miA2lite
I have tried hard reset that but it's still the same. No touch at all. The bootloader is locked. So just want any solutions. Or answers. . I have tried another screen. And that doesn't work either. So maybe software related. ?
same problem with august update
I think I will give back in warranty
New mi a2 lite here with the latest update . The keyboard is so slow . i need to press twice on letters especially on the edge of screen(i can type faster on my older samsung s4) .same thing for scrolling sometimes fast and other times slow
I recommend both of you to try "Force GPU Rendering" option in developer settings, in my case after applying august update the problem still exists but not as worse like before /in July update mostly/. The strange thing now is the problem not shows up after every charge, maybe it's just hardware issue in my case, maybe after charging the phone become too hot and the issue shows up / f****d up display cable or so../
i droped my A2 lite phone then screen didnt work at all and tried to reset it what can i do???

I think you need to open a new thread since your situation is different from the OP.
Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? It's extremely frustrating, especially since the phone is generally preforming pretty well apart for this problem!
Since July unfortunately still the same issue
I solved my Mi A2 lite ghost touch problem by turning on battery saving mode. I tried all other methods before it and none of that worked. May be the problem is with some background process which turns off by turning on battery saving mode. I hope this method will work for you.
