Have got slightly bored trying to find a mate 20 pro that is not affected by gluegate or green edges so have started to look at the view 20 as it looks very interesting.
One thing that jumped out of the specs was the lack of gorilla glass. How much of an issue is this and how otherwise sturdy is the phone? I'm equally worried about scratch resistance as well as drop/smash.
For those who have it, how are you finding it?

This phone is a must buy. Especially for the price. You get the same performance as the mate 20 Pro and a 48 mp camera. The build and design is very good too. The screen is flat meaning it doesn't go I've rthe Edge of the glass but I prefer it like this. For the screen, I just placed a glass screen protector on top of it once I got it
I do not do screen protectors or cases (live life on the edge!) This does mean though that I am always careful with my devices, I even used a pixel 3xl for a month and it was unmarked when I sold it!
I decided to take a punt and picked it up last night, will post some impressions later. It's not Gorilla glass but I would like to know what it is, I guess time will tell as to how robust it is.

I wouldn't call it thin, it is quite thick. Not sure if replacing it with a glass protector is a good idea, do they have the right holes for sensors and the camera? If you notice there is a small notch on the right side of the screen for a sensor.

This is the plastic just on the glass. I prefer to cover it with something stronger. I have a glass on and no issues at all.

I see. Well I guess I'll be buying a glass then
My plastic one came off when I was swiping right from the edge to go back ?
Honor phones are very sturdy. Before upgrading to the View 20, I had a 9 lite (pretty budget device). I owned the phone for over a year and used it intensively every single day using only the clear soft plastic case that came with the phone, and never got a so much as a scratch on it. I've been using the View 20 since the 2nd of February using the same plastic case that came in the V20 box, and don't have so much as a blemish on any part of the phone other than my fingerprints.
It's also worth noting that the V20 does come with a screen protector pre-applied to the phone, so you don't actually need to buy one.

I got the "shock absorbing" screen protector from Motorola by Power Support, while it was nice it was plastic. So it didn't feel the same, fit on the device nice...but it still had a "tacky" feel like ZAGG if you've ever tried those. I've used it a few weeks, held up nice, just didn't like the feeling.
Here are some images of it installed:

As soon as I found out MIME USA was getting one, I contacted them. I got it yesterday & installed it, instantly fell in love. Fits on device like a glove, no more "tacky" feeling screen on my device. There is 2 small "bubbles" on top/bottom right side on the device, hopefully with time they go away. Also, I think there's a small lint in the middle of the screen, hopefully it doesn't bother me too much.
Here are some images of it installed:
Overall both are awesome screen protectors, but the glass on the MIME USA will always win me over. If you have any questions about it let me know & I will do my best to answer them

You really can't see it from the pictures. I'm not saying "Don't get one", but unless you have a bulker case, in my situation--a Supcase--then it won't work that well.
I'm happy with it. The glass feels better then the plastic stock one.
This is the normal version, not the 2.5D version. That one is even better.

This is the 2.5D 0.2mm version.
Use the 'hinge method' to apply the screenprotector.
Warning: Apparently not all OnePlus X screens are perfectly flat, so you could be dissapointed with the endresult.
Where to buy?
I got it from ebay.nl
Just go to your local ebay site and search for "OnePlus X Nillkin glass screenprotector" should cost about 8 dollar.
Today I've recieved the 2.5D 0.2mm Pro Nillkin glass screenprotector, it's a perfect fit. Tomorrow I'll post new images!
Yay! Can't wait to see it. Thanks.

Thread is a bit old but I wish to give my input. I have tried three glass screen protectors and all three had the bubble issue. Now my first OPX which I returned due to it having a yellow tint, had the air bubbles all around the guard (official 1+), the replacement device also has the same issue, for this I used two nillkin guards, with both attempts in vain. It seems like only a few devices are fully 'compatible' with the screen protectors.
Note: both of my nillkin ones were the amazing h, this one. Feel like trying the H+ but am not sure, I used alignment stickers as well but still no good results!

I think they are all pretty much the same. I'm on my second tempered glass already. Just make sure it has a camera cut out or you might get flare when taking selfies at certain conditions.

Disagree there. The first one I got was $2 and it was shocking. I was expecting a small gap at the sides because of the 2.5d screen but this one barely covered vertically as well. Annoying as I like to keep as much of the front covered as possible so that the tempered glass can protect the screen from drops.
Found the Ultimate Shield one to be excellent.
Try this one from Ultimate Shield. It covers the whole screen very close to the edge. The best one for the Huawei P10 Plus.

You can try nillkin tempered glass ap+ pro
BROTECT AirGlass Premium Glass Screen Protector Clear
for Huawei P10 Plus would be might highest recomendation.
I used the same one on the Mate 9 and it's just the best. ultrathin glass that doesn't clip on the edges and
I've installed a Nillkin h+ and it seems to be doing the job well. Have tried the Brotect on Mate 9 as well. Certainly a nice fit but it doesn't seem thick enough to shield the screen from impact.

Unfortunately I could only find them on nillkin online website and eBay. Nothing in Canada, per usual..
Nillkin tempered glass pro is very thin, cut out on sensors and speaker. (no cutout for front camera. Finger print sensor cutout is good, no bubbles and easy to install.
Good quality and instructions. Only issue I found was it covered not fully to the edge. It has about 3mm gaps (quite a big gap) from the screen edge. Will upload some pics tonight.

Got the exact same experience. Tried other ones that had a better fit but their quality was ****
Also installed the Nillikin...features I was after were minimum cutouts and .2mm thin with radiused edges for smooth navigating over home button. Fantastic smooth oleophobic touch.
Does the job on my Canadian Rogers P10+ and I use two Spigen Rugged Armour cases with good front lips. I alternate between the the slim case and the EXTRA with larger air cushion corners depending on activities.
how to put the temperred glass
Hello all,
have you put the tempered glass over the pre-installed cover that comes with the P10?
No...remove the pre-installed plastic one first.
I went for THIS ONE after having issues with other ones suposedly for the P10 Plus
Fitted great and has stayed stuck on! It's the type with sticky only on the coloured part of the protector

Mi 10 screen guard
Mi 10 has excellent scratch resistance, better not to buy the TPU glue protectors which ruin the screen. And the very few screen protectors available start accumulating dirt from the edges. The provided case is deep enough and does a great job in protecting the phone. Just be careful not to drop the phone or keep it along with coins or sharp objects.
Hello everyone I have one question bought with the Mi10 EEA version and it seems to me that there is a protective foil on the display. Is that so or does it just seem that way to me.

There should be pre-installed screen protector film. At least there is on mine.
Is there a skin available to cover the hinge portion of the Z Fold 2 ? Just looking for the hinge area..
I would imagine that won't end up being a thing because when the fold is open, the hinge disappears inside the phone meaning there may not be enough clearance for a skin on the hinge. Also, you wouldn't want the skin to somehow come off inside the phone while it's open. That being said, I understand where you're coming from and would love some hinge protection.
I have a transparent thin film on the hinge. So far has not been a problem. Its really super thin to create any issues i think. My thinking: samsung care plus wouldn't cover scratches on the hinge and this phone is too precious to have any, but they do cover hinge issues like squeaky hinge or any permanent hinge issues, so IF anything develops which i highly doubt, care plus it is...

I purchased these and received them this weekend. They actually sent 10 of them even though I purchased four. It took me three tries to get it right, I kept getting the edges too low at the top or bottom. If I didn't have 10 of them I probably wouldn't have tried it the third time. But it came out pretty much perfect. It wraps around the edges and seems like it might catch when opening but it doesn't at all. Overall I'd recommend this. Excuse some pock lint.
