Hello All,
Would anyone know of such feature. in the nokia e90 there is a feature that when the person gets a phone call it speaks out the contact name using a voice does any one if there is the same is available for hermes, thank you all for all the great efforts
microsoft voice command does this however it is a big file if thats all your after. it also reads out messages...
Different than Micorosoft Software
Thanks, I am aware of this Microsoft Software, but I guess you have to record the contact name using your voice? in the new nokia you dont have to do so
"I guess you have to record the contact name using your voice"
No, if the number is in your cantacts with a name then it will tell you that "whoever" is calling.
I like MS VC as it allows anyone to use voice commands to call or bring up apps without you having to record ANY voice tags.
Cheers...
Hello! The dual SIM version of the M8 does not have the possiblity to set up a SIP account with the native client of Android 4.4 (in contrast to the single SIM version). Thus I have installed the "SIP Switch Widget" from Google play store. This allows me to set up the SIP account and choose the method of dialing (asking before each call if I would like the mobile account or VOIP). Nevertheless if I choose IP-call the call is made through the mobile network. I guess that the phone app has been modified by HTC. The behaviour of incoming VOIP calls is as follows: The phone rings but I am unable to answer the call. Has anyone a fix for it or would develop a solution that the native Android client works? I would certainly pay for it because the native client drains less battery than 3rd party apps. Thanks a lot!
Hi markzh,
I am having the exact same issue. Just bought the M8 Dual Sim version and was quite disappointed not being able to use the native VoiP client on the phone.
Did you make any progress solving this issue?
Thanks,
Tito
I am an enthusiastic owner of OP3 and I have only one problem, in the audio-conferencing feature I miss a small option, but for my use is essential, I received a call from A and added a call to B to leave the conference and leave A and B in communication. With an S7 edge that I am forced to use now for example, I receive the call from BANCO and add OFFICE, the possible options are UNISCI (JOIN)-SCAMBIA (CHANGE) and TRASFERISCI (TRANSFER).
The function that does not have my OP3 is just "TRANSFER", with which I connect the BANK and OFFICE calls, which remain in communication with each other, and I leave the conference.
Thanks to everyone who wants to help me.
I received a spam call this morning but to my surprise I had the option to use Google's Call Screening feature. Originally Pixel devices only supported it alongside a few other devices. I'm very surprised to see Sony supporting it. No automatic screening or advanced spam control settings for it though.
There doesn't seem to be a mention of this support anywhere else, so I'm just putting this out there for anyone who's interested in this phone.
Of course this is using US firmware, where the feature is only available at the moment.
I am in Europe and this feature is available in the settings.

I need to enable calls recording both for regular phone calls AND for WhatsApp calls (eventually even VideoCalls, but just audio would be enough)
I keep stumbling upon threads about the native phone caller from Samsung, but this would not help with Whatsapp
Either or I stumble upon threads stating there is no way out since the 12 may 2022 Play Store modification (thus ACR Phone will still work with a companion app you should download from their own website, but as far as I understand...it would only work with regular phone calls (not whatsapp)
Could someone help me with a recap about that?
Would rooting the phone allow me to effectively use software like CUBE ACR (working properlly with Android 9 on my old (now death) Nokia 7 plus)
