Hello, I bought samsung galaxy s9 with demo software in it. I flashed with odin but knox enrollment software tries to connect to cloud and installs this demo profile with limitations. Basically there are two apps that are being installed as device admin. KC Client app and Knox enrollment service. I can't remove any of these two apps :/. Any ideas? Should I try root or there are other alternatives?

Will rooting stop the ability to do Samsung OS updates or Samsung purchases from their app store?
From what I've found; Yes, rooting disables the OS update. You can use the Wanam Xposed module to re-enable them, but I'm not entirely sure it will flash properly.
I can't speak for the Samsung app store as I don't use it.

I will stop updates from Samsung but when updates come out you'll just have to flash update with Odin. If you search around forum you can find out how. It's very easy to do. I don't think it will mess up nothing with Samsung store. I don't use it and got rid of it but I did have it on after rooting and everything was fine.
Pretty sure you won't be able to use Samsung video Hub because of Copy Protection after root

Rooted and I downloaded a few movies from Samsung store, they have a weird format (non standard format)... Works fine. Samsung store no problem.
Also downloaded movies from the hub, again no problem...
You can't get OTA updates but you can download the roms and flash via ODIN (if you have Knox warranty void 0x0 there's no problem). This won't trip Knox warranty void...
Clean rom or just stock rooted? I get kicked to home screen from samsung video store.

Ok, having read various references to Knox here in the forums I thought I go and look for it on my tab as I've not seen it.
Thing is, although I can find it in the "all" section of the application manager I can't actually work out how to run it?
There is no icon on the apps page and in the manager section it is not disabled or hidden
Unit is the 10.5, wi-fi only model. Bought in Best-Buy but now in the UK.
Any ideas?
I have Galaxy Tab S 10.5 WiFi (SM-T800, Exynos) with newest soft and I don't have Knox application too.
Only reference to Knox in my device is "Knox Warranty Void 0" text in download mode.
Also in "Galaxy Apps" (Samsung Store) there's no Knox app to download and install.
When I had Samsung Galaxy S4 there was Knox application in main menu.
Maybe Knox application will be introduced in later software versions.
I understand it to be an IT administrative installed app. It supports the new "bring your own device" fad. The admin installs it and provides a knox workspace that will use your enterprise credentials to access the secured whatever.

Thanks for the replies.
Thing is though there are 4 Knox applications on the unit and Samsung Knox is advertised as a feature on the unit on their websites?

Hey folks
Recently upgraded from s7 to a70. The s7 was rooted but a70 isnt. Used samsung sidesync to transfer files from one phone to the other. But banking app thinks a70 rooted.
Checked knox counter this hasnt tripped
Checked safetynet passed
Checked playstore securrity thing passed
Used a root checker says not rooted
So unless samsung sideload has transferred some files associated with rooting i cant see anything to check other than factory resetting phone.
Anyone got more suggestions?
Thanks

Unfortunately you can't do anything. Samsung devices come with a built in security feature called the Knox warranty bit. It's a one-time programmable Efuse that is able to detect if a custom operating system has ever been installed. High Security applications such as Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, Samsung Pass and Secure Folder are permanently disabled. In select locations the Warranty bit is also used to deny warranty service. The best course of action would be to contact the seller and request a replacement device with the warranty bit in tact. Or refund
Edit: Netflix just isn't supported from the play store on the Tab S4 for some reason. It has nothing to do with root access.

As someone who is trying to install netflix, I'm constantly met with "not compatible."
Is there a way to actually use it again?
You could try installing the APK from here.
https://help.netflix.com/en/node/57688
No Guarantees it will work.
Like the title says. I flashed upgraded firmware to get att calling abilities and since doing so I cant use samsung pass. I can use Samsung pay just fine and when I check warranty void on download screen it says 0x0. Anybody have any idea of what's going on or how to fix?
Are you logged in Samsung account? Or maybe uninstall updates for it, as it is a system app you need to show in apps settings, and let download again.
