Global Developer MIUI for Mi5s Mix and Redmi 4A(4X)

Xiaomi's Releasing Global Developer Rom for Mi5s, Mi Mix and Redmi 4(A,X)....It will released on 7.5.18....this Friday.

For MIUI users who are owning Mi 5s / Mi MIX / Redmi 4X and Redmi 4A, here is the exciting news for you, the MIUI Global Beta ROM for Mi 5s / Mi MIX / Redmi 4X / Redmi 4A will be released on Friday for the first time. Please stay tuned.
For this week's update preview, we have not decided to introduce any recommended feature yet, because our developers are currently focusing on system stabilities and bug fixes. We are aiming to optimize the MIUI to its finest. Please be patient and steady, good things come to those who wait. MIUI Addicted.

At present, the wcrypt (Wanna Cry/Wana Decrypt0r) ransomware virus are spreading out continuously. We are kindly to advise you to install the latest Windows Security Patches in time to prevent system infections....i'll put the changelog(if xiaomi will show it)....in Friday....

Nice, finally I can use official ROM with OTA updates. Xiaomi.eu is good ROM but Global Dev was expected.

It's very simply. I changed my Nexus 5 because security patch wasn't update. And now, my smartphone is not update again, while a lot of phones are very very supported. I choose Xiaomi because release a lot of update and it take care of his smartphones, but this is not happening with Mi 5s. Last update was released in December. I thinks is not too strange if i'm feeling a bit messed around. They promise this update from some months

You can install AOSP-based ROM for UX. They have latest security patches. Official LOS will arrive soon. And Global Beta not canceled, it only took something like rest

Its releasing tomorrow ...im waiting too....please be patient....developers working very hard to bring us smooth miui experience on Android N.....

I know it, but my disappoint is because this situation go on from some months. This week problably was a different situation, but is stressful wait for a MIUI update so much. There first release of Android O and we still have MM.
Where is the AOSP man?

Imagine:
- You buy phone in December 2016.
- You receive Global ROM about that time, you feel happy.
- You see every month China users get new stable versions, you don't.
- Around February you lost opportunity to unlock bootloader, because you need MIUI 8.1 or above. Your ROM from December is 8.0.
- Month ago Xiaomi release Global 8.2, everybody was happy, they can unlock bootloader, but after a week ROM is deleted from Download section on official site and from OTA update.
- Week ago Xiaomi promise give you first global dev release. Yay we will be able again to unlock bootloader. And they have delay...

- Xiaomi start release closed beta Android 7 builds for mi5s. History show us that this model for Xiaomi is ************. Global version is... I have no words.
I know that there are ways to unlock bootloader etc. But official way right now don't work for Global Stable users. This phone have almost a year and stlii no working official solution.

I totally agree with you. First xiaomi device I've bought and I thought that this smartphone would be quickly updated to Android 7...

There are so many devices from Mi, they can't work normally. And you can almost always find 2 devices from Mi with same parameters

If to be true, I live in country which is on both sides in one time I am not from Russia, but know russian, I am not from big european country, but I can use english language a little bit.

According to the flashing guide given with the link, you can. Just have to download the file and put it inside the updater folder.

About 2 weeks and coming out ! I testing the 7.5.15 android 7.0 global beta build and it's much fast than miui 8.3 6.0.1! New fonts it's very awesome !.

What is the official download page for STOCK MIUI ROM for Redmi 1s?

My not so impressive google-fu led me here: https://en.miui.com/download-226.html. But there is no entry for Redmi 1s.
If you say the support is simply dropped, that is not the case because Xiaomi is indeed releasing new roms and updates for this device. Case in point: https://en.miui.com/thread-1633507-1-1.html
But where is the official download page (like it used to be)?

I think they stopped support for global rom. You could just get those roms by searching for the redmi 1s section in the english miui website.

They have removed it since many months back, first they removed China ROM download link and then Global ROM download.
This is not just for Redmi 1S they have removed it for other devices too.
In my opinion It's just the way doing business and other way is many people have already got new device and it makes sense that many people have moved to new device and they of course want customers to buy new devices and not to forget server costs.

Yes, but this doesn't mean that people are not using Redmi 1S, many people are using and it's running good.
So just download the ROM wherever you found and keep backup in PC or into cloud because they may remove remaining downloads to.

I think Xiaomi forgot to fix the download page when it got blanked out because of the miui10 upgrade.

Hello everyone, I really wanted to tell you my opinion in this section that is the one dedicated more to the development of generic Treble ROMs and also specific for some devices. My question is, why do not even a project embrace Xiaomi Daisy? Many GSIs are not perfectly optimized for the device and unfortunately sometimes you get into various bugs. I would like not a little, to see some project even perhaps addressed to him. But this is my opinion, I hope it can be taken into consideration. As always, thank you all for what you do.

There are Lineage OS roms in development for a2 lite. those will be perfectly optimised.
and once they're released, surely other customized ROMs will follow. so just stay tunedn

I really want to miui rom for mi a2 lite because in my country i cant get a good miui device like this specs. (i cant even get redmi 6 pro illegal ways )

Actually I test rom for developers , los 16 is fine but vendor stock have error , the dev compile vendor lineage . So just wait for custom rom daisy ...

Anyone trying the Android Q beta on Asus Zenfone 5Z?

Hi,
I want to please know if anyone has updated the Android Q beta on the Asus zenfone 5z? If yes then have you recieved any updates on it like beta version 4 or 5?? Because this information is not getting updated on Asus's official android q beta page which is disappointing.
Please let me know so that I may then plan to try it if its getting updates since may.

I am using Android Q beta on my Asus Zenfone 5z. I would suggest don't install it. It is stable enough to be used but there is no update apart from the first release. It is stuck in May 2019 update and there seems to be no movement on this. You will lose the wide-angle camera and 4k 60fps video recording. Recently I am facing issue regarding Sim card ie, If I put the phone on flight mode or restart the phone then I have no network. I have to remove the sim slot and press the phone in the same area and then it works. It is smoother than ZenUI but I would suggest don't use it yet at least till they update to latest beta.

Thanks alot! I did installed it too but few months back and immediately reverted, that why I asked being in july now. Its really disappointing Asus being so slow for flagship phones and their customer service don't even know how to resolve few things. They just tell us to go to service centres which also don't have any knowledge. They don't listen to customers and fix issues thru software updates. Pixel phones are on beta version 5 now and our may release is I believe the third and that sucks.

Hey buddy android q beta 6 is out today, though its stock android and not supporting volte, 6 is final so i'll better wait for official one from Asus it'll be here next month probably. Cheers!

I have installed q beta and used for few months, then decided to revert back, i dont know what wrong i did in fastboot mode, i struck in fastboot mode and could not boot my 5z, i tried all firmware versions, can you guide me how to revert back to stock rom, iam in fastboot mode now, active partition showing is 'a'.

That has all stock features and is updated to latest security patch

Yes... I'm currently on ZenUi 6.0 with Android 10 on my Zenfone 5z 100.04.44.67
I'm on 100.04.44.67 and using this update from day1 it rolled out...and According to my experience till now, I faced this issues:
1st major issue:- It has 1 major bug in my case... during the*phone call*earpiece doesn't works needs to plug-in the earphones or use in speaker mode.
2nd:-Another issue is call of duty game restarts 1 time in battleground mode in each match, the game hangs and then we need to close the*app*n launch it again. You will be in the same position in the game again. This happens only in multiplayer battleground mode and only happens once per match.
3rd:- It isn't a stable update, its a beta 1*users*Android 10 update, so there are some bugs.
Till now i have came across those bugs.....apart from this Zen Ui 6.0 on top on Android 10 is pretty nice. Stock Android with extra features just like oxygen os.

The beta 2 fixes most of the beta 1 issue and is really smooth.

Everything works fine n it's pretty stable but the call of duty game issue continues.

Custom ROM for Realme X

Its been almost 2 weeks to the launch of the phone but theres been little to No development happening. Are there any developers interested in this phone..when are we going to see the forum happening..

Even f you unlock bootloader you wont be able to do much. Kernel sources are not yet released for Realme X. Unless kernel sources are released, you guys wont get TWRP. If there is no TWRP and Kernel Source, then you cant have any custom roms built from source.
I was gonna buy Redmi K20 pro. But dont see any extra benefit spending another 14K just for SD 855. Realme X is a great device and has everything i need.
1) Fairly good chipset for 15k. SD 710
2) AMOLED Display
3) Amazing camera ( once we have root and custom rom, we can start using GCAM in this phone )
I really hope they release kernel source for this phone asap, so devs can start modding and compiling the **** out of it.

We can still use Gcam there is a link in forums .

u can use gcam out of the box. cam2api is enable by default.

realme should partner with lineageos or havoc to ship units with that os

If u want custom rom, u should choose Xiaomi or OnePlus.
Even Xiaomi,some devices doesn’t have official custom rom,such as k20
