Burn in is physical damage. A factory reset will do nothing as your phone is now damaged, search eBay for burnt screen used phones, there are hundreds.. It happens on EVERY oled panel, it usually takes 3-4 months after purchase for me to notice any (Galaxy S4-S8) but I haven't had and YET on my S9 at 2 months..

hello guyz!
my samsung galaxy 3 i5801 display got damged recently!so i took my cell to local samsung cervice center! he said that the display screen is not available! so he replaced my damaged screen by a duplicate screen! the problem with this screen is it shows different colours when seen from different angles(basically its a TFT screen i guess)! this really hurts my eyes ! so i am planning buy a new screen where can i get one?
i search them on ebay and i found some!but i could not decide which one to get! all are for i5800 and mine is i5801 ! i guess it dosent really makes any difference! As i am not allowed to post urls please search "Display Screen For Samsung Galaxy 3 i5800" on ebay.com and tell me which one to buy!
Thank you!
How much did you spent on replacement LCD ?
Did samsung guys sold you a duplicate/non-company authorized screen, this would be the strangest thing I heard about any company service center.
I don't think you should be buying it off Ebay without knowing about details of screen and a couple of reviews about it.
I recently saved my Galaxy 3 as it suffered from non-functional touch screen and a broken volume button connector, had to fully dis-assemble and do the stuff to fix it.

Hi are you still want to use your Samsung I5801? My phone(I5801) display got damaged. Please let me know. You can email me at "Sanjayforweb (at) gmail (dot) com
I searched for hours for a solution to this. But no luck on xda and Google only had info on LCD TVs. So sorry for a double post if you some how found it.
Okay. I know how the image gets stuck because of excited molecules or whatever staying excited.
Anyways. I was wondering how to fix.
I have flashed the RED BLUE GREEN WHITE screens with apps for over six hours. no success.
I have tried to rub it out. No success.
I have had it left off for the night with no battery in it. No success.
Is my screen permanently burned into place. Or have you guys any suggestions?
I will not be buying a new LCD as they are 200$+ and I spent 100$ for the phone on Craig's list. Haha
Thanks in advanced you guys.
By the way, it is the charging battery icon.
I tried to screenshot it on my gnex. But quickly realized how stupid I was because screenshot wouldn't capture that. Haha pictures are courtesy of my faithful galaxy s3
, TURN YOUR DEVICE BRIGHTNESS ALL THE WAY UP WHILE VIEWING PICTURES.
Nope, only way to fix it is to replace the screen.

Ok, let me start with this,
I bought a note 2 n7100 couple of days ago, and I have problem, i don't wanna believe that I have to change entire display, because, it's way to pricy.
My touch screen reacts perfectly with stylus, and when I try to use my fingers, NOTHING :/ It won't react, i tried everything, from factory reset, to entire ROM change, but nothing happens :/ It still doesn't work with my fingers, stylus perfect, but fingers, nothing.
Please tell me that I can fix it somehow without entire display replacement, i googled it, but blank, tried every trick that i've found and still nothing.
Greetings
PS. I just need confirmation that it is hardware problem, and that I can kill all my hopes about fixing it any software way

maybe you should search if only digitizer could be replaced. It is cheap compared to whole lcd

I doubt that it is possible, ive heard that digitizer is glued to the screen :/
Actually it is possible, search for 'LE55ONS' on youtube, he has a video that shows the complete disassembly of the Galaxy Note II's screen.
I heaved same problem, i think because condensation inside your phone.
I got a Note 4 from AT&T from a friend at work. In the day it was quite fine but colors looked wierd I couldn't figure out why. Until night, I decided to reboot the phone and just wow...
- backlight bleeding? The logo of samsung was surrounded by light? even my LG G3 has better black than that.
- Tried to navigate on some black wallpapers and... this phone can't reproduce the color black?
I mean, Samsung info (the app) says that it is not refurbished and the IMEI is not blocked.
Other info apps says that the screen is Samsung original or OEM.
But just look at the pictures I attached. It is imposible for an AMOLED screen to be that bad, I change picture modes and nothing.
What do you think? It is not a fake phone because it rocks like it should on high demanding games and S-pen works good (I have a Note 3 and both S-pen works)
Rom is 5.1.1 updated via OTA right from AT&T
Do I freak out and tell her about the phone?
1 of the pictures is a screenshot, the other 2 are photos taken with my Note 3 to the "Note 4".
Well, what do you mean you got it from your friend, is it a gift to you, or did you buy it? or are you borrowing it?
It's very difficult to understand what I'm looking at with the pictures you posted. So, I cannot really say what is happening. It may be that they have an app installed that is doing something. The Note 4 cannot be rooted, however, so a factory reset would set you back to stock Android, without fear of any lingering unwanted programs.
Do you have the backlight turned up all the way?
If the phone is yours, I'd say do a factory reset. Also, if you are on 5.1.1, you are WAY behind on updates...Current is 6.x so you have a long way to go. Some apps change the screen settings to reduce blue at night, or other things. There may be something messing with your screen. But then again, I cannot say because I don't know what I'm looking at in your pictures.
For me I like my screen, it gets black, and it does well... But I don't turn up the backlight and I don't know what settings you are using.
If you bought it and you think there's something wrong with the screen - I'd say talk to the seller. Be polite and just express your concern, ask them if they know what's going on.
After I updated my Galaxy Tab S4 to Android 10 with One UI 2, the screen became like the picture attached. Now half of the screen is occupied by black and white stripes.
I contacted Samsung and tried all the possible troubleshooting solutions but in vain, the problem still existed.
I also started a thread on Samsung community about this issue, and I got a lot of replies about the same screen problem that happened with many people.
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5...en-issue-after-android-10-update/td-p/1837825
Still no response from Samsung about that.
Please can you help me with this issue?
I got 100% same problem
I try downgrade and same
But mine its from damage during shipping, the glass covering the amoled is cracked but I hope the screen its not affected.
Now I'm waiting the HDMI to usb type c cable to arrive to see if its screen or motherboard problem
If I lock/unlock(power button) fast and many times the lines dissapear and works normall a while
Do you fix it or you find what is wrong?
Today the HDMI to usb type c cabe arrived from china
I connect the tablet to TV and seems that lines are only on amoled, unfortunately the screen seem to be faulty
Hi at all the community, and Merry Christmas, oh oh oh
I made this post because i want to clear the situation about this very diffused issue that occur on samsung tab s4. I'm going to buy a tablet in the same screen condition in the attached picture, but before i want to know if the problem is related to the screen only or it's an hardware issue that affect the motherboard.
Please if anyone has fix this, please share a solution because in internet there are tons of user that ask for that and i haven't found if it's a screen or motherboard problem.
Thanks and wish you a merry christmas to all the community

Thanks biohazard for your reply, i'm going to examinate the motherboard I really trust in yor words and is what i believe..
Anyway someone else can confirm after changing the screen this kinda of issue persist?
I want to clear the situation share your experience!
I can confirm what biohazard16 said, it's not oled screen problem or display coonection problem but hardware problem on the motherboard. I've tried to connect my tablet using MHL cable to a TV and the picture on the TV is perfect without any glitch, clear of any half screen issue. I've tried to install another original screen 100% working and i've still had the same half screen issue, it's not a screen problem.
I search a lot in internet for complete schematics or boardview for this Tab S4 but i've only found a service manual that doesn't help. If anyone have boardview or any other Oled pinout please post.
I think that Samsung after made a good tablet, wich a large amount of these have the same screen issue, must be release the complete schematics because people with good skills can repair a Project/Assembly mistake made by Samsung, but till now from Samsung 0 news.
At this point i want go through the problem and i've attached a picture of what IC need to be reball/resolder.
biohazrd16 or anyone can confirm i'am right?
I start thinking that reapir this kind of issue is like the 3rd secret of Fatima ;-)
