[Q][DISCUSSION] Best Video-Recording App?

Hey HOX users!
Which App do you think is the for recording video on the HOX?
The Sense-Camera makes videos which are quite OK, however the compression is way to strong and the framerate isn't good - as many discussions show.
Additionally, I've switched to CM9 (because of design, speed, battery, settings...), so I don't have the Sense-Camera anymore.
CM9's stock camera-app records bad video and crashes very often - I use Camera FV-5 for taking photos, and the quality is awesome
So there has to be a equal alternative for recording video!
Do you know good video-recorders, which do you use?

Unfortunately, there a next to no video recording apps for android because it has to be specifically designed for the camera.

Yeah, I noticed that too, very sad though :/
I think the HOX is capable of shooting really great Videos with 60fps @ 720p, if there was an app capable of using monster

Yes.. that app is the Camera.apk that comes with the Sense ROMs. The drivers and the app are very tightly intergrated. I doubt CM9 developers will ever develop something as good as HTC when it comes to that

you should use lgCamera, you got a free version "Lite" and a paid, "Pro"
you'll get 2 apps.. one camera and one video recording
with the camera, you'll get uncompressed pictures, they'll be ~4,5mb instead of ~1,5mb
with the video recorder, you can change:
Bitrate: HTC uses 11mbps and Galaxy S3 uses 17mbps for 1080p... with this app, you can set it up to 100mbps, but that's overkill, just put it at 20mbps (with this, you get smooth recording)
Sound quality: you can record stereo sound and max 320kbps with 48hz
record in 3gp or mp4 (mp4 will be played with hardware)

only record 720p? and double bitrate is 7mbps??
lgCamera is way better!

lgCamera doesn't work for me (and reading comments in GPlay, for many).
I see the buttons, but video feedback (viewfinder) is just black. When trying to record video, it says "Video recording failed".
So yeah...

they made lgCamera availble for One X
had black screen too with lite, but not with pro
try restarting your device, this could work

[Q] Record internal audio - Android 8 rooted

Hey guys,
I've been looking for a solution to record internal audio on my OP5T with Android 8 and Magisk.
RecMe with "Internal Audio Plugin" isn't working. I can't enable the plugin (because of Magisk?).
SCR Pro isn't working either, because Android 8 is not supported.
Does anyone have an idea how to record internal audio?

Seems that it's definitely impossible since 7.0
Only Samsung devices can do this...

Have you had a chance to try out the "Call recorder -ACR" app? Because it works perfectly on my OnePlus 5T (not rooted, Android 7 still). Frankly I'm a little afraid to install that update to Android 8 on the off-chance it'll make the ACR app to stop working )) Call recording is too essential for me. Let me know if it still works on Android 8, because it looks like it should, a very HQ app.
Although I just now noticed you wanted to record internal audio in general... ACR is for auto-phone call recording, not sure if it can record all internal audio.

be carefull with RecMe its send a lot of data when it starts to record.

I think OP meant screen video recording with internal audio from the device. Not call recording.

lol even S9/S9+ cannot run any call recorder apps, it's worse than this case IMO.

Call record app by Skvalex (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643) records internal audio. which means that Skvalex broke the barriers of "internal audio record from Anroid 7.0+ is nearly impossible". So, if the same "internal audio" recording technique used for screen record with internal audio, it may work.

Unfortunately not

If you install fooview as a system app there is an advanced setting option to record internal audio.
It's currently working on my OP5T OOS 5.1.4 rooted with Magisk. The only downside is normal audio is off when the app is recording and the resolution is a bit weird imo at the moment but internal audio recording works.

I achieved to record and live my screen with internal audio using these apps :

Internal audio plug-in must be a system app to work, you can use app systemizer from magisk repo to move it to priv-app
PS : I'm using a OnePlus 5T OOS 5.1.5 (Oreo 8.1) magisk v17.1

Record Internal Gameplay Audio Android /No cut Earphone /No Root
Recording internal audio in Android is restricted by Google.
But you can able to record your internal audio of your Android by the trick which I made recently with the help of this trick you can record your internal audio without rooting the device or cutting your earphone so for more information check out my channel on YOUTUBE ( KT ANDROID) and search for the video corresponding video.

Miui 10 screen recording with internal audio

Hi i have a max 3 with miui 10 8.8.3 china rom
the built in screen recorder does not records the internal audio it records via mic from the speaker
Does anyone with differnt rom on their phone could check it for me if they can record the internal audio please and let me know
I would like to record some gameplay.

Unfortunately, no. I'm on 8.8.9 eu rom. Same mic and mute option only.
Have you tried AZ Screen Recorder? It allows in game sound recording.

New android version does not allow to record internal audio.

I saw a video on youtube which showed the miui10 features and it mentioned it in the video about the built in screen recorder had the option to select the system sound

screen recording

mi screen recored is not recording internal sound. when i try to record using internal sound option. there is zero sound. my device non rooted full stock miui 10.2.1

1. no sound
2. mic
3. system
i tried both but game sound is not recorded

Hi guys, Is there a problem in term of sound with 4k 65fps video recording mode? the video is very laggy and sound is choppy. It's just me or everyone is having the same issue? i'm using 975W with the newest firmware update

OK, got an exynos version .
Rear video set to UHD 60fps 3840x2160.
Buttery smooth with no lag and no stuttering/choppy audio.
Must be something on your hardware, or a setting you've enabled/disabled...
