Hey guys,
I've been looking for a solution to record internal audio on my OP5T with Android 8 and Magisk.
RecMe with "Internal Audio Plugin" isn't working. I can't enable the plugin (because of Magisk?).
SCR Pro isn't working either, because Android 8 is not supported.
Does anyone have an idea how to record internal audio?
Thanks in advance.
Seems that it's definitely impossible since 7.0
Only Samsung devices can do this...
Use Acr app.. It is working like charm
Hey Baldesarra!
Have you had a chance to try out the "Call recorder -ACR" app? Because it works perfectly on my OnePlus 5T (not rooted, Android 7 still). Frankly I'm a little afraid to install that update to Android 8 on the off-chance it'll make the ACR app to stop working )) Call recording is too essential for me. Let me know if it still works on Android 8, because it looks like it should, a very HQ app.
Although I just now noticed you wanted to record internal audio in general... ACR is for auto-phone call recording, not sure if it can record all internal audio.
be carefull with RecMe its send a lot of data when it starts to record.

I think OP meant screen video recording with internal audio from the device. Not call recording.

Right. Figured that out after I wrote that
Out if context, ACR not working for me. Can someone please share their settings?
Any updates on this?
lol even S9/S9+ cannot run any call recorder apps, it's worse than this case IMO.
Call record app by Skvalex (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643) records internal audio. which means that Skvalex broke the barriers of "internal audio record from Anroid 7.0+ is nearly impossible". So, if the same "internal audio" recording technique used for screen record with internal audio, it may work.

Unfortunately not
If you install fooview as a system app there is an advanced setting option to record internal audio.
It's currently working on my OP5T OOS 5.1.4 rooted with Magisk. The only downside is normal audio is off when the app is recording and the resolution is a bit weird imo at the moment but internal audio recording works.

do you have any flashable zip file?
I achieved to record and live my screen with internal audio using these apps :
-https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobzapp.screenstream.trial
-https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobzapp.internalaudioplugin
Internal audio plug-in must be a system app to work, you can use app systemizer from magisk repo to move it to priv-app
PS : I'm using a OnePlus 5T OOS 5.1.5 (Oreo 8.1) magisk v17.1
Record Internal Gameplay Audio Android /No cut Earphone /No Root
Recording internal audio in Android is restricted by Google.
But you can able to record your internal audio of your Android by the trick which I made recently with the help of this trick you can record your internal audio without rooting the device or cutting your earphone so for more information check out my channel on YOUTUBE ( KT ANDROID) and search for the video corresponding video.
Hope you liked it!!

For sound records: internal sd>music>soundrecords
For screen records: internal sd>movies>screenrecords

Does anybody know plans for file formats or reasons for choosing .wav? I think .ogg / .mp3 is better than .wav.
Hi guys,
I am running LineageOS 14.1 on oneplus one. I'm not able to find the native screen recording app which used to be in the status bar dropdown menu. Nor able to find in the settings anywhere.
Could anyone please let me know where I can find the screen recording app??
Many thanks in advance,
Regards,
Ranga

Sound and Video is done with the same app -- Recorder.
Learned tonight if you long press on the screenshot tile, it will start video recording. (Using xposed module GravityBox[N], not sure if it is applicable without that module.)
Also was not aware that the recorder app also did video.
As title says,is there a way to enable call recording in alpha series?
I own an A3 (rooted) and I can t enable it as I did with an older Samsung.
Actually my bigger problem is that I cannot find the CSC file in system and the lines to enable call recording in my dialer.
May be this file has a different name in nougat? so I can t find it
Any idea what I m doing wrong here?

Google removed the call recorder API in pie so it's not possible without root afaik.
Samsung got their own call recording though, but only for certain csc's. I suppose it's for regions where it's still legal to record phone calls without the other part knowing about it or something.
I've been using 'Call Recorder' by skvalex for many years across many devices but it seems like it's no longer working since Pie. Tried a couple others and they're also only recording my side of the conversation only.
Is there anything out there working on non-rooted P?
auto call recorder works perfect. I think call recorder from skvalex works also.
It does not work on Android P.
[KB] Android 9 (P) Call recording issues.
There is no way to record interlocutor's audio properly at the moment. You can use Loud speaker to record both side. All call recording apps will be same., This is not limitation of ACR but Android 9 and the phone.

Can you detail what settings your'e using? Because even skvalex himself mentioned Android P doesn't record the other party, only yourself.

I don't know if it makes any difference but I'm rooted with magisk version 16.7-1674. That build can be found in the Flash kernel thread. I'm also using Flash kernel 3.0. Everything else is stock. Call recorder 3.0 with root add-on 2.03-1.
Audio source: Caf
Format: Flac
Everything else is basically default. I attached a few screenshots. Here is a link to a recording with me talking to an answering machine I just uploaded to Google drivehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1eDqtDJzMaZi05l7CdY1fUy8teXm8U4LC/view?usp=drivesdk.
You can hear me talking over it saying hello several times. All my recordings are perfectly clear on both sides.

"phone recording audio source - voice communication" works for me
Works
ACR on Pie is working fine on my 2 XL, records both sides nice and clear.
Audio Source - Voice_Communication
Recording Format - MP3
Audio Gain - 8DB

I'm simply telling you my phone model, which app I installed and the settings I used.
It recorded both sides of the call, nice and clear, I am able to hear the entire call.
what part of that is not real call recording?

I think you misunderstood me. It might be acceptable for you or someone else. However,cCall is recorded from the earpiece speaker, gain applied. Real call recording is done by getting audio form Android system not from speaker. Hence, it is not real call recording.
Works perfectly on Pie with Pixel 2 XL rooted!

I like to play games and want to record internal audio for games to post it on youtube but i am unable to find any app to record internal sounds and record screen at same time. In redmi 4(santoni) latest miui developer rom there is a option of recording system sounds in miui screen recorder and it works perfect but this option is not available in redmi note 5 pro stable / dev rom.
Can anyone make this option available in miui screen recorder for whyred?
RN5 doesn't have internal audio record support in default screen recorder. But Mobizen Screen Recorder support it, and surprisingly without the need to root. But still I don't really trust the app, so if you choose to use it, better restrict the mobile data/wifi access.

Very sure, no external device needed. At least it is recording the internal audio in RR 6.1. Play some music and cover the speaker, the volume stay the same in the recording result. RN4 actually has supported the internal audio recording by default. The feature disappear in RN5. Somehow Mobizen can do it without the need to root or disabling the SELinux.

Use the mobizen for Samsung it will record internal audio but the drawback is that you cannot hear the gameplay sound while playing it which is not suitable for games like PUBG

I am sorry, I can't reproduce the internal audio recording result anymore. Strange that last time I tried it, covering the speaker won't lower the volume. Now it does (so now it is mic recording). Probably when I test it before, I am still on RR the old build from July. The latest build from august probably patch it up. I don't know, but sorry I don't wanna to go back to previous RR build just to test this. As I am not using it. I am using the latest version of mobizen at the time I test it.

What ROM do you use? I only try it for a while, as I caught the app is running background all the time. Since I don't need it, uninstall is the best solution.

Thank you for helping guys. I think there is no solution for this problem right now.
I am from the UK and we can't use the Google dialer for recording calls. Tried a couple of apps but can't get it working properly.
Have anyone managed to find a solution e.g 3rd party app for decent call recording without root and if so which settings do you use?
Thanks
Same here, would love to use call recording with the Google dialer.
Presently I use True Phone which allows for call recording (I am rooted, though ).....
I've been using call recorder by Skvalex with all of my Pixel devices for years. It works better with root but can be used without. I've used it with root access with all of my other devices but so far I haven't rooted my 6 pro. I was actually surprised at how well it works without root access. It's a paid app but you get a 7 day trial to see if you like it. I can't remember right off hand how much it cost but it is well worth the price. In order for call recording software to work, it needs to be installed as a privileged system application. You can't just user-install an untrusted package and have it work, except through wacky hacks like recording both sides by using the microphone on super-high sensitivity and then normalizing.
