I have the lg g4 h815 international model. It is rooted and has the boot loader unlocked, I manually upgraded to android 6.0 and then a few weeks or months after I was just on a normal day. So I turned my phone off, then when I needed to turn it back on it failed to start up only showing the lg logo with the boot loader unlocked sign in the top left. I tried all that I knew how to. I went into TWRP recovery and wiped all the data from it. I tried to boot up but it would not and it said that I have no OS installed, however I was sure I did. So }I tried the kdz method of restoring my phone but the lg flash tool 2014 seemed to not respond instantly.
Next I tried downloading the stock files and stock ROM and tried to flash them, but when I attempted to flash them using TWRP it froze and went back to the LG logo screen with the boot loader sign in the top left and it wont let me do anything. I can still go into download mode and recovery though. I have tried every method I know of and I am really stuck. If someone knows how to fix it then please reply, thank you.
If anyone knows how to fix it then please reply, thank you.
When u wiped u prob wiped all download a custom rom and put it on sd card the in twrp install it should be good to go

I tried this but when I attempt this, TWRP freezes and it takes me back to the LG logo with the boot loader unlocked sign. Because it keeps freezing I cannot restore a backup or download a custom ROM and I am stuck on what to do.
EDIT: Also when trying to use the kdz method the lg flash tool 2014 just fails and force closes.
By chance u aint got the 505 serial number device do u there was a sorta recal on a few devicez if im not mistaken and im actually new to this device but i had g3 and it was a common problem on g3 for bat to go bad try dl rom and installing it while plugged in to power source other than that im not fortunate enough to have bl unlock and twrp or i might be able to give some more assistance

Hi to all,
Not far ago I've bought the LG K410 Dual SIM variant and now I'd like to unlock the bootloader for easier development project (and also because I'm curious).
The thing is that LG K410 is based on the MediaTek MTK6582 SoC and runs the pretty old version of Android 5.0.2, but it was not hard to get the root access with KingRoot. The strange thing is that smartphone boots me into Fastboot mode when asked to do so via adb reboot bootloader and reacts to the fastboot oem unlock, it shows the dialogue, but I cannot accept it - whatever button I press, it seems to be frozen... Here is the video of me attempting to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaVhYLqMBDY&feature=youtu.be
I've also tried to port the TWRP using this method but the file which resulted is failure. When I put the "fastboot boot mytwrp.img", command line gives me this:
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot boot yourtwrp.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.427s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.433s
and there are two lines on the phone's screen - one saying USB transfer had begun and the second saying the first block is transmitted or so...
So is it possible to unlock the damn bootloader on this phone, or it is already unlocked and it's all TWRP failure, or is it complete and irreversible lockdown?
Thanks.

Can it be flashed using SPFT, or is the preloader coded in such a way that it calls for something else?

Really, who needs a specialized MediaTek solution when you can flash everything you need via command line and fastboot tool? And besides... mostly on the Google Images pics there is MT65xx depicted. So yeah, fastboot seems to be better option.

I wish. At&t has the bootloader locked down. All the other steps will probably work. Twrp would have to be built for M255. Thanks for the response.
So, you don't have "allow device to be OEM unlocked" option in developer options?

Hey all, just got this phone, I had originally "done some research" when I was at the att store, and found root instructions for the lg k20 PLUS (missed that plus part). So I bought the phone and now im finding out there's currently no root method, which means, as usual, I have to at least try. I warn you, I'm no fulltime dev, so don't get too excited, im the kind of guy that still needs plenty of help with this stuff, but I'm setting up a dev environment and digging in.
My question right now is, has anyone been able to access the bootloader? I read thru the k20plus root topic a bit and they say to use
#adb reboot bootloader#
or hold VOLDOWN and plug usb while powered off.
Nothing seems to bring me to a bootloader.
#adb reboot bootloader#
reboots the device and I assume it tries to boot the bootloader and fails, because windows chirps as if it's been disconnected, then my device proceeds to boot up normally.
Holding VOLDOWN and plugging the usb makes the phone show a splash screen momentarily and then switch to the powered off charging screen.
Has anybody been able to access the bootloader?
-BMFC
Still waiting here too. ??
What u mean with "bootloader" are fastboot.
To get into download-mode hold Vol+ & plug-in usb
Fastboot may for u arivable but u have to wipe ur recovery partition first.
Then reboot into recovery...but wait !
It's look like freeze..plug-in usb and hit on ur PC "fastboot device"
Welcome !

I am not in hurry, I just want access to system/etc in order to modify Hosts file.
Coming from Snapdragon stuff I would like to avoid mistaking as much before having learnt MTK tricks.
I've found one U1 TWRP in searching the web , it is a 15612KB file size (win10 explorer numbers). If you have a different one I'll be happy to test it because the first one didn't boot in fastboot. ( I just checked fastboot boot "twrp.img" instruction, because I feared to install it!)
Normally it should boot temporarily, expected something special is not to be done to open it?...
If you trust your version, I'll install it. Just confirm me the boot manipulation sequence.

After booting the recovery image temporarily, you should do this command,
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
Then it might work
---------- Post added at 09:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:53 AM ----------
Here is the link: https://mega.nz/#F!SV8yhKiT!zY29yJFupGBK0REm40FSBQ
Procedure to boot temporarily:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot philz.img
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
---------- Post added at 10:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:58 AM ----------
Remember one thing, if the recovery work, then "DO NOT USE REBOOT TO RECOVERY OPTION" from philz recovery, it might brick the device

Sorry, it doesn't boot , it stays at waiting for any devices after "fastboot oem reboot-recovery" instruction and reboot itself into system.
I've seen that a magisk boot is promoted at Realme 1 forum.

Hi, I used the LGUP to upgrade the LG V35 from Android 8 to 9 with V350ULM20d_00_NAO_US_OP_0612.kdz. The version 8 is V350AWM10n. I used the Refurbish to process it...:crying:

So you went from Korean version Oreo to the Unlocked Variant Pie? Probably a compatability issue. I went from Variant 10i to Variant 20d with no issues using the upgrade option in LGUP. Have you tried anything else?

Have you tried any other KDZ? Have you tried other options besides refurbish?

sorry, my screen sticks (please see the picture) and cannot get in any screen to refresh ROM again...thanks
Try draining the battery by connecting an usb fan via otg and putting it into the fridge. After it turned off, enter fastboot mode and flash again.

Another user had issues with fastboot, could get into mode but nothing worked in fastboot. I might suggest letting it die, then using buttons to download mode while connecting to a PC. But either might work. Would love to hear either way.

thanks @vbenkovskyy to help me to unbrick my V35
Could you or @vbenkovskyy share what worked? I'm at a similar place.
I just bought a NiB AT&T Unlocked v350awm10w. I tried to follow this guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-stock-firmware-lock-t3820888) but the .rar for the LGUP_common.dll is corrupted. I tried another version through google but my firmware update stopped at 91% with an 0x2000 error, which from my seach was due to the wrong .dll version. That led me to https://www.reddit.com/r/LgV35/comments/blt10i/how_to_flash_kdz_firmwares/, I extracted the .dll from the unlocked Pie .kdz (V350ULM20d_00_NAO_US_OP_0612) but now when I try to launch LGUP it says the .dll for v350awm10w is not properly installed.

Use this one and run as administrator. Don't unzip, just use LGUPD. From within zip. Let me know if it works.

Thanks for that link Shawn. Unfortunately after about an hour stuck at 91%, the download mode rebooted. Now it autoboots into the bootloader. I can see it through fastboot devices, but the only on-phone options are restart and power off. I tried to extract the laf.img from the Oreo Fi .kdz and fastboot boot laf.img but I got the g.co/abh warning and it rebooted into bootloader again so I'm stuck. Any help you can give would be great.
Anybody figure this out?
Also US unlocked v35 tried upgrdaing from 8.0 to 9.0 , stuck at 91% and now forever in fastboot mode
anyhelp would be appreciated
thanks
