Possibly Bricked SGH-M919 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

I have my T-Mobile S4 that I think is useless, however I would like to flash LineageOS to the device. When I turn on the device, it says that the Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. When I load up kies on my PC it doesn't detect my device. When going into boot mode it just says Downloading. Is there any way to fix my device?

Flash the latest stock ROM using Odin.

I have the stock ROM, however it keeps failing at around 90% completion.

What is the Odin error? Tried using different usb cables and usb ports?
If the phone was running the latest stock ROM, you could use Odin to flash TWRP and a custom ROM.

Can you please post the link of the stock ROM and give a detailed guide on how to do flash it because I have the same problem?
Edit: Also please specify the Odin I need to use to flash.

The latest T-Mobile firmware can be downloaded from here: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s4/firmware/#SGH-M919
After downloading, unzip the file once using a unzip program such as 7zip.
You will need a Windows PC and Odin: https://odindownloader.com/download/odin3-v3-07
Instructions: https://odindownloader.com/tutorials/use-odin-downloader
It's been a very long time since I have flashed a Samsung s4. There's always a risk that something goes wrong. Best advice: be prepared to try again with different methods if the instructions don't work for your phone.

[Q] Firmware upgrade issue. Can't open.

First of all sorry for my bad English.
I have a device with 4.3
When i was trying to root that device a problem happened and odin crushed. After that my device couldnt open. "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" massage is on screen.
And
On download mode is
Custom Binary Download : Yes (1 counts)
Current Binary : Custom
System Status : Custom
Knox Warranty Void : 1
Ap Swrev : A2
How can i install new firmware. Please help. Can i odin any stock rom?
I have no other telephone so i'm in big trouble.
Don't panic.
Just download ODIN flashable Stock Firmware which should be higher than MK4. Flash it carefully through PC ODIN and you should be good.
Once your phone boots normally to new ROM, reboot once again.
Then switch off, start in Download Mode and flash PhilZ (or whichever you like) recovery through PC ODIN.
After it you can flash any Custom ROM (they all are prerooted).
Good Luck !!!

Make sure you have exited Kies before you flash as this will screw up the flash...
I'm assuming your tablet isn't rooted? If so a custom rom won't flash anyway as the signature verification will stop it...
If you have got root then flash TWRP, load a custom rom onto your sd card and flash that....

You need to know what firmware you were on and what the highest firmware you tried to flash was as this will affect what you can and can't flash...
Again, make sure you have exited Kies as this will affect the flash...

Welcome to the forum! Your phone's hardly bricked if you can get to download and recovery modes. Flashing the correct (stock) firmware should get you back to working conditions. What Android version were you on prior to it being stuck and what were you trying to upgrade to?

i747M is for the Canadian and Mexican variants. If you were on stock 4.1.2, you should be able to Odin back to stock 4.1.1 or upgrade to 4.3 via custom recovery. You can go to the thread below to check the correct stock image for your phone based on carrier. Make sure you use the correct image as flashing the wrong version could hard brick your phone. Download to your PC and then flash. If you select the 4.3 version, you would need to flash custom recovery to your phone via Odin, save the file to a (micro) SD card and then flash via custom recovery.

If we are going to flash a stock ROM, we would need to flash the correct version as there is risk of a worse brick if we flash the wrong one. When the phone was working normally, the old network would probably be showing during booting. If you got it from abroad, please check if you can get the information from the previous owner. If there is no way of telling the correct firmware, then you can flash custom recovery to the phone and try flashing a custom ROM via recovery. It's always tidier flashing a custom ROM to a device functioning normally but, unless we can be sure of the correct stock firmware to flash, your options may be limited.

I've seen this particular problem reported several times and it's always been a problem with the pit file. Flashing a complete stock system should fix all partition problems though. If the stock file you are using is an Odin flashable file, you may try using Odin 3.09. Otherwise, I'd suggest you find a recovery flashable image and flash via (custom) recovery.

[Q] Help Sprint SIII bricked?? Will not boot but ODIN can recognize it

Same problem as the OP in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022459 Sprint s3 flash pacman JB and google apps the went to reboot recovery ask to reflash su yes phone powered off and no coming back on Odin does detect it on com05 when I plug it in but anything I try to do just says waiting on connection, will not go into recovery or download modes. is there anything I can do to fix it? kies or anything? and I edited the updater scripts to be able to flash pacman because every rom I tried would fail with error 7............ please help

Yep I'd bet your right, guessing the homefix img is from Version 4.3
Were you running 4.4.2? If so, go to the link below and it should solve your problem.

Try flashing this in the attachments using odin the same wayy you did the stock firmware, just extract the rar file and use the .md5, and then do a full factory reset then it should recognize.
forget KIES ( completely useless) ! flash SamMobile's firmwares with ODIN !
