That's strange.
Let me give an example say I done
453 steps on watch
And 224 on phone now when you click all steps that should add both together if I'm right. That makes 677 but for some reason I'm always about 50 to 60 steps short
I've read that the update that's just come out is supposed to fix a steps problem along with the heart rate monitor and battery.

I think that's for the gear s3 not the galaxy watch.
Ah just seen video on YouTube saying there is an update for the watch so will keep an eye out

Not quite. It's not supposed to sum steps, it's more like supposed to try to figure out which steps weren't registered on one device or the other so that you end up with a best guess of total steps. The all devices steps will always be a higher number, it will never be a straight addition of the two. Well, unless say you were only using your phone or only using the watch for hours at a time the entire day..

I'm still waiting for the update hopefully soon i should receive it
I took mine to the gym today and actually watched my screen while on the track (thankfully it was almost empty so I didn't run over anyone) . It was unbelievably accurate, more than I expected. It was tracking me step for step and everytime I suddenly came to a stop, it would immediately stop counting. I tried all sorts of tests, taking one or two steps, running a few steps, then stopping etc. Not once did I catch it adding steps or not counting.

I can't get my heart rate monitor to work. Ever. I open S Health and go to the page. I follow the instructions and it says it failed to read.
Ideas...?

Youre dead on the inside. :/ Sorry you had to find out that way
Unroot it then root it back. Thats what i did and got my Shealth working again.
It is very picky, I have to try all my fingers before 1 will read. Some days it won't work at all, other times it will read the first time. My suggestion is just keep trying different positions and fingers, it will go eventually.
I had problems when I brought mine home also. I reinstalled Android through Odin and mine works great now.

Good catch, wasn't going for that, but your right on!
"THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID" would have been appropriate there for sure.
Not to mention its under the thread about getting one's heart rate going. Very well played.
Do u have a case on?
I have the thin spigen case on mine, there is plenty of room for my finger
Have me 5.1.1 on My Note 4ART model, now the step count has stopped increasing (and yes I have been walking around ).
Any ideas as to the cause? I've opened up the app on both th watch and the phone an I can see my past counts but from the update on none.

My 360 works still. Check that the 360 is still showing as connected in Android Wear. Then check your Moto Body settings. That's all I can suggest.

Thanks for the suggestions I've tried both of those and don't see a obivious problem. Though it might be all the messing with the date I did Friday night to get the update to download (5 times ), and it show that I did 150,000 steps on Friday, just a little more than my usuall 12,000

Just an FYI: Make sure that you are using Moto Body and not Google Fit. Fit doesn't support the 360.
I've had that situation too a few times when steps wouldn't count, but then one day I suddenly walked like 150,000 steps... my average is 15,000 per day.

Thank you all for your help.
It started working the next day so appears to be connected with all the date/time changes I did to get the update.
Thanks again.

First semi reliable info! Let the countdown begin!
This is when the international versions will begin to receive the update. Look for AT&T (and the other carriers) to hold that update at least 3 to 6 months extra to add their bloat.

Exactly. So we can seriously expect a release date sometime this summer to late summer. That is, IF ATT decides to release the update at all.

Me too!
I'm happy with mine, too. I got so obsessed with flashing Roms on my first 3 galaxies that I finally got burnt out on it. Sure, root would be nice, but I'm fine with the device as is. But I also don't have some of the issues I see other have. I've got no camera problems and I regularly get about 6 hours of screen on time. So, I'm good.

That's quite a broad question but I'll try to give you details. I've disabled anything I don't use or that I know cause battery drain. There are several apps in the app manager that aren't "useable" apps, and they aren't in the app drawer, but cause significant battery drain - disabled without negative results. I switch between touchwiz and Nova Prime launchers (and have noticed no difference in battery drain). I keep things like wifi and Bluetooth disabled if I'm not using them. Auto brightness turned off. I keep location on but only on power saving mode unless I'm traveling out if town.
That's generally it, I guess...

It's a long list. It was easier to just screenshot them. In the bottom two you can see my battery stats. I unplugged this morning around 7:15 AM and I'm down to about 47% after 8 hours and 3.5 hours screen-on time.
Today, I've checked email several times, had several phone calls, plus I've streamed youtube to a chromecast for classes that I teach, and even played a couple games during lunch. I do have lots of other apps I use, too; about 4-5 pages worth in my app drawer. Working well for me.

Hi,
Will it be possible to update my device in another country that there is no AT&T services here. Last time in forum I saw some guys telling to use Kies to update and they said there are some pages but I couldn't find them either.
Can you help me to locate one of these pages, If exists; to be able to update my device automatically ? Everytime I update my device in my country I had to backup everything and put back again which is reallly painfull!

Geez, and I thought Verizon had a lot of bloat!
I jumped ship for a Nexus, but sprint is updating its note 4 to 6.0, so the info was accurate.
In other news, water's still wet...

Kies is one way, but it sometimes takes Kies a while to get the carrier-branded firmwares. (International firmware is almost instant on the other hand).
The fastest 2 ways to get the update would be to
1) use someone's activated ATT sim in your phone. Pop it in, boot up the phone, wait a few minutes for the sim to set itself up with your phone, then check for updates. Then download, install, and then put your original sim back in.
2) Use an Odin file. The only issue with this is that you most likely will have to start from scratch with your apps and settings. Be sure to back everything up first.
You'll also have to wait for the Odin files to be released by someone, but it'll be 100x sooner than Kies.
Edit: The latest 5.1.1 Odin files are in the first post here (you'll need all 4 files in the Dropbox link):

Hey LASERWOLF, I was wondering something. You think you might be available some time to skype to show me how to root? I'm going to downgrade to 13b some time and was watching your instructions on youtube that you made for rooting but sadly the camera moved around a little too much and wasn't able to see some of the things you did. Not sure how soon I'd be looking at doing it since I'd still need to downgrade to 13b first and then download all necessary files. Do I need ADB? But yeah if you get a chance to skype me and walk me through it I'd appreciate it. I just really don't want to brick the phone beyond repair since I've only had it for 5 days and am into it $400 not including the case the tempered glass screen protector and the first monthly bill lol. And since I got it from ebay you guessed it no warranty Thanks again for your videos. I just suggest getting a tripod like I got with a cellphone holder. Works great when I take night shots of the stars

As for downgrading i wont be able to show that. I dont wont to take the risk to be stuck on mm. As for the video. Sure i can redo the video. I got software now that i can screen record and this time i keep the camera stedy. Sadly i dont have a tripod. I was at the store a few weeks pricing one tho. I let you know when a updated video is up.
As for adb. A file i provided a link to has the adb in it. I check the links later to make sure they work cause i dont know if i am allowed to mirror files that are not mine here on xda

Thanks a lot. I'll keep my eye open for it. And I think the screen recorder will work awesome! Not sure if a walmart is near you. But in the camera section where they have selfie sticks they also have mini tripods with built in phone holders. They are around $9 if that interests you. I already had a tripod so I bought a selfie stick from there that came with a bluetooth remote shutter and just took the phone holder part out of the box and put it on my tripod.

Hi,
I recently got myself an s9 256gb (exynos) and have had multiple issues with my first one.
Luckily they replaced it with another new one, and it had been running fine for a couple days.
Still need to get my notes from gmail working working (previous iPhone user), but i'll fix that.
Anyways, my question is. How long does it take you guys to see, "the stats" when you press on device maintanance?
It used to show it to me allmost instantly, but now it takes me around 40 seconds each time I open it.
On Youtube it looked like the phone of the revieuwers also showed it instantly, but I like to ask real users instead.
Thanks in advance..
Mine took around 37 seconds to load.
It's a bug for everyone atm, wait for an update
