I have a t900 I got online, I knew the wifi wasnt working, but I thought it might just be a bad installation of a custom rom. I flashed a stock rom thru odin, and it didn't help. I can get My blue-tooth headphones to work. but the wifi still wont turn. I tried various custom roms, and same result. I am hoping someone may have any ideas before I open the tablet up

Hi folks,
I didn't want to be one of those who asks for help without researching, but after two weeks of trying everything I can find ... here I am! Hoping somebody can help. Here's the deal. I have an AT&T GS3 with 4.3 OTA, then CF Autoroot and no Knox. Everything worked great for a while. Then I got more ambitious (okay, greedy), and tried some custom ROMs. Somewhere along the line my WiFi and Bluetooth have ceased to work. Slide the switches, they stay grey for a bit, then slide back. I know other people have described this problem and also offered solutions like flashing different kernels and modems, which I have done ... lots.
I also have a rooted Galaxy Gear. I was trying to get Gear Manager to run on a custom ROM and downloaded it's individual app apks, which I thought were universal. I later realized they were being used on an HTC One. And for about one glorious hour, everything was working! Don't know if that contributed to the problem, but that's right about the time my Bluetooth and WiFi both died. Hmmmm.
Here's what I have tried, and what I have now:
1. Currently on OTA MJB bootloader and modem, and loserskater's Premium Suite ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252932). I also tried his bootloader and modem, but they made no difference.
2. SE is Permissive, but can be changed to Enforcing.
3. IP and WiFi MAC addresses show up under Status, but Bluetooth address says Unavailable. I can see it, however, in SQLite Editor under Settings Storage and Secure. The WiFi display value was already at 0, so that didn't work
I have tried flashing various combinations of loserskater's and updwn4par's modems, ROMs, and kernels, as well as CWM and Slimbean custom ROMs. I have factory reset, wiped cache and dalvik, and data formatted so many times I've lost count. And nothing has worked.
I'm really a noob at all of this. The watch was the first thing I ever rooted because it thought it would be safer to practice on. Then my tablet, and finally the GS3. Somewhere, I did something wrong and have done everything I can to fix it myself, but I'm officially stuck. If anyone has a solution, I would be extremely grateful.
Sorry this is so long ... thanks for taking the time to read!
I am trying to find a fully functional rom. I have tried numerous roms and run into 2 or 3 of the same problems. What I need is working ? . Working Wifi. Working Camera. And working GPS. Most of the roms have given me a problem with the camera. For instance, I take a picture in a dark place and when the flash goes off I get a black screen and there is no display I am forced to pull battery as the phone will not reboot after. I have not had wifi or bluetooth problems in a long time so I can not comment on that. I recently tried Liquid Smooth's 4.4 rom and the camera works, however GPS will not work unless connected to WIFI which does me no good if it won't navigate. Has anyone found a rom out there that is fully functional? I do not have service on my device, which is d2spr by the way, so mobile data and 4g are not needed. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
If you want fully functional with no additional stuff except what you want, just use stock odex, latest firmware is NJ2, If stock untouched is giving you problems then you may have a messed up internal memory or something.
Wicked S5
Phone is Completely Screwed
So i flashed a MK5 Modem on my L710t due to the fact that my wifi and data were not working ... I though it would fix this ... before that on some roms, the wifi would work, but the data didn't ... and vice versa with other roms ... Carbon and LiquidSmooth to be specific. I can't seem to fix it .. so i tried Unrooting back to all stock everything ... and no matter what tar file i use i get a FAIL in Odin ... i tried three tar files and even tried the 1-click.exe. got an EPIC FAIL ... i tried flashing a stock MK5 deodexed rom because i had flashed a MK5 modem and the damned rom wouldn't boot ... I really just want to revert to a stock Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III with 4.4.2 and an N8 Modem or whatever modem it came out of the box with ... CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME ...
please and thanks
Thanks. It was a pain in the butt to get it installed as I had to update to ND8 but I think this is is quite functional and what I was hoping for will see in a few days how the system reacts but so far the camera works and i am bout to test gps. So thank you for recommending the Wicked S5.
So I can't connect my phone to the car bluetooth connection in my car. It's ONLY a custom ROM problem. If I use FreedomOS or stock it works fine. I have changed to literally every firmware in existence, still no fix. I can connect to some devices, but I also have problems with Android Wear.
This is a big deal as I bought this phone for a custom ROM. Anybody know what's the fix?
I have read more threads about this, but nobody ever seems to have an answer that isn't "flash xyz firmware ZIP in TWRP" which I've already tried. Please, anybody willing to help, please do!
So you can't pair your phone i assume?. If so I had the same problem.
It was a real issue in earlier aosp roms but now alls I do is clean flash the rom, set up and connect my BT and then if using a theme it goes on last!!!!.
No, it pairs fine, but then never connects as a phone. Only media works. I never dirty flash roms, so that's not the issue at all.
I will try this, then report back. Haven't tried this yet.
Which option in the toolkit should I use? There seems to be no options to revert stock specifically. You mean the OP3 Unified Toolkit, or is there specifically a "unbrick tool"?
Tried it. Not fixed. Used 4.1.3 zip after the reflash of stock using the Qualcomm tool. Should I try a 6.0.1 zip like 3.2.8 OOS or something?
I have built several custom ROMs with a BT fix that gets rid of the "no phone" issue. This sounds like the same issue I had so this should work.
At this point, I'm assuming I did something with my phone. I've easily tried twenty combinations between different ROMs and gapps packages. I used TWRP, and didn't make a backup because I'm dumb.
None of my installations (if I can get past Google crash notifications) have usable wifi, and on one occasion, the flashlight wouldn't work. Bluetooth is able to be turned on, but I haven't tried connecting anything.
Any advice? I've been trying the whole process on Mac. My Windows machine isn't even recognizing the drivers I've downloaded. At this point, I'd settle for the stock ROM again.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply. Sounds like a persist partition issue. Flash stock ROM .
Hi!
Following up on that - had the same, flashed different Pie roms and none would have functioning wifi. And yes, i did flash stock rom via Emma few times.
Any ideas?
Maybe there is something in flashing process? I had other phones (HTC, Samsung) and flashing them was never a problem....
Additionally - tried hard to get xposed to work via Magisk, but all i got was bootloop. Any advice how to get Xposed to work ? I have XA2.
Thanks!

Flash latest rom via xflasher and everything working fine
Well, i have no problem with flashing factory ROM. I had problems with custom ROMs.
Anyway - managed to get it. I guess it has to do with dual boot partition, so that one should restart via recovery, and only then restart system.. Or something like that
I had the same problem after flashing custom ROMs. It seems that you have to enable Wi-Fi in stock rom before flashing any customs.
Hey guys! How are you all doing?
So, I have a mi6, and the WiFi is not working, but the Bluetooth is fine.
TLR - I got stolen last year, a few months after that, someone return it to me. I locked it and, after I got it back, I went to the mi cloud and unlock it. After this, I tried to install custom ROMs, custom miui roms, and the stock rom, tried wifi fixing tools, but I never had success fixing my WiFi problem.
