Hi there,
I build roms for my BQ Aquaris X2 Pro. But all volume settings are to loud for me. How can I lower the volume for notification, ring tone and call volume?
TIA Micha
Hi,
I have set ro.config.vc_call_vol_steps=15 and ro.config.media_vol_steps=25 in vendor_prop.mk, but the phone only respect the media volume steps. The patch are used bei some lineage roms too, so I assume, it should work.

Maybe someone with Java knowledge can take a look at the source.
https://github.com/LineageOS/androi...m/android/server/audio/AudioService.java#L730
And give me a hint.

The supplied ringtones are useless. I've lost count of how many calls I have missed - I just can't hear them. To me - all the latest ringtones are nowhere as good as the old fashioned 'ring-ring' that used to be standard on most cellphones.
Anyone got a good replacement ringtone, one that is loud, simple (ring ring or similar) and easily available ?
Thanks
Mark
Something like this?
You can also edit a wav file and crank up the volume

Very nice - but I wouldn't call that simple
Whatever happened to the goodl old fashioned ring-ring ?
Mark
try this
I had the same problem, and my solution was to modify the "Old Phone" tone (taken from an SE T610) to a "double-ringtone", put it 6dB louder as original and converted it to .wma. I'm very happy now, since I use this ringtone I've the most time the volumecontrol 2 dashes down the maximum!

simple basic ringtone
I see there are a few posts with tones in files. If your looking for something to download one option is http://www.justringring.com
Hope it helps, Jon
I think the coolest thing to do is open a mp3 with audacity and chop it down a little bit then use a mp3 encoder to downsample it so its smaller, then encode it to WAV. It's so cool to hear Survivalism by Nine Inch Nails blast out of my phone when I get a call. Not simple, but the result is just AWESOME.
oldphone, oldphone2, btdoldphone, oldstyle............ Why only old style tones can be better and louder???? post some new style tones as well..
Hi. I own a Daxian X999+ with WM6.1 and I wonder if there any tweaks to increase mic sensibility or volume as I get complains about my mic not being loud enough, I can't find any proper settings for the mic (if any) but I read about a registry tweak that unfortunately only apply to HTC
H***_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\AUDIOGAIN
EARPHONE_UPLINK_VOLUME "AA"
RECEIVE_UPLINK_VOLUME "AA"
and I do not have these entries in my registry.
Any help?
how u got wm6.1 my only has tyhe 6

No, I'm sorry, need to re-assure you, my one does actually have wm6 and not wm6.1....
sounds like you may have a hardware problem as my 999+ is fine with both mic and speaker
hi,
im using a 3.5mm heaphone jack adapter. but pluggin in my inear plugs is impossible because the lowest system sound and wmp sound is even too loud. using another player software would solve the music problem, but system sound and caller voice would still be too loud.
after searching some hours, i tried installing srs wow hd. only with all options down to 10%, loudness was acceptable, but the sound was crap and my hermes did not wake up from sleep.
now i have read about an audiopara.csv file in the windows directory in threads about other htc devices. no infos about the hermes and i cant finde the file (show all files option on in file explorer)
im using crcs latest rom.
any help appreciated.
chris
u should post this in CRC's thread instead of opening a whole new thread dude.
perhaps it is connected with the audio parameters, that serveral roms have cooked in. i don't know. as far as i can tell, its not a specific rom problem.

it could be, allot of us don't use plug in head phones and it could require a driver that we excluded from newer build accidentally.. i wouldn't know.

i don't think its a missing driver.
im still curious if someone knows about the the audioparam file of the hermes. or perhaps someone could explain the audioparameters that can be cooked into a rom. perhaps they can be edited.
it's all registry.. under current user/control panel/notifications.. thats pretty much all i edit.

i didnt findt an option to control anything volume related.
i tried now a rom without "setacustics", still too loud on the last volume bar.
has anyone new ideas?
htc equalizer didnt help either. still too loud with all settings down.
tried nueAudio with an AudioPara.csv file i found in a Titan thread, that i moved into the windows folder. i also set a string ref in HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\AcousticFile to that file, as it was missing there too.
when i change all settings way down in nueAudio, after a softreset i still do not find any difference in the audio volume.
im really running out of ideas except an hardware volume control that i plug between the htc adapter and my headset ...
no ideas? anyone?
Hi,
I have a Hermes with wm6.1 with LOUD volume when i use my earphones.
( it makes me a headaches )
I searched this great forum for solutions but none that exactly pinpoint a solution.
nevertheless i found that thread on this subject:
h-t-t-p://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357543
what i want is to decrease my earphone volume, while the "incall" ( the volume that i hear during a call ) plus the speaker volume will remain LOUD.
how can i do that ?
how can i edit that "SJ SetAcousticParam.cab" program ? ( what values and how to embedded them ? )
Do i must reflash my hermes for that ?
P.S -
There isn't ONE thread that concentrate all the approaches on changing the VOLUME on HERMES....
Thanks in advance for any help !
Hi all Artemis Experts
Can anybody help me with increase of in-call ear-piece volume. Did a lot of searching....seems lots of other phones do have this audiopara to make the sound much much louder. Any help will be tremendously appreciated.
Hallo Earthwind3
Regedit
HKLM/Software/HTC/AUDIOGAIN/EAC_GAIN_HEADSET max 79
HKLM/Software/HTC/AUDIOGAIN/EAC_GAIN_CARKIT max 79
HKLM/Software/HTC/AUDIOGAIN/EAC_GAIN_EMBEDDED max 79(with DWORD max 119)

Hi Fredelius
Thanks a ton for the quick resoponse. I did changed the key to 79->soft reset and yes it did increased the volume but only a bit. But I guess I sod be happy with it. Would be great if there was any software to make it more.
Hi all
Are you all satisfied with the earpiece volume in Artemis. Please help me with an audiopara.csv for Artemis. There's lot in the net but not for Artemis :-(
Hi Earthwind3
