Stuck w/ old Android 5.0 and 4.4.2 two different tablets - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have two tablets with very little support.
Either the programmers gave up because the original configuration were too complexe. I know there are a few who like challenges.
In any case
1st tablet
RCA
RCT6203W46
AKA VIKING PRO 2
2nd tablet
Hipstreet phoenix
HS-10DTB12A-16MG
AKA PHOENIX
Is there anyone that can confirm any custom roms working on these units.
4.4.2 and 5.0 are very limiting.
Thanks for looking into this.
There are good number of people that bought these units that would be very happy if anything worked other then stock rom.
Also, I just finished twrp / rr oreo on my old samsung mega 6.3 with full smooth success because of your programmers.
Kick ass!!!

CyanogenMod vs. 6.0 Marshmellow vs. any other ROM?

Over 2 years ago I bought 2 of these (SG TAB 3 10.1s) for my kids - after about 6 to 8 months they just stopped using them becuase they ran like poop - they sat for over a year gathering dust so I just took one of them and installed CyanogenMod 12.1 (literally, 2 nights ago from the date of this post) So far it runs awesome! I was going to dump the tab 3 10.1s but after installing, it's a keeper! I truely can't beleive the performance - better than brand new!
I see there's a way to install Marshmellow (6.0)... I also see other custom ROMs as well so..My first thought is - why fix something that's not broken? In fact why fix something that I just fixed and is working really good?
I'm looking for the very best performance possible - So far, with my very little experience and knowledge, CyanogenMod is truly the CATS MEOW! so.... my tab 3s are wifi. Don't care too much about the camera, mainly needed for browsing, netflix, xFinity TV app, youtube, games - maybe a bluetooth keyboard....
Anyone out there with a SG Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5210 who has installled CyanogenMod, then MM (6.0) or other ROMs besides CyanogenMod? Are there any comparisons? What is the very best performing ROM for a GS TAB 3 10.1 GT P5120?
Thanks much in advance for any info -
And, a BIG THANKS!!! to nels83 for the post in the developers thread for CyanogenMod -
I would also appreciate any recommandations on this!

Best ROM?

I just got a used Note 4 from Note 2 (running CM12). I really do not like Samsung's stock ROMs. What is a good stable ROM? Is Lineage any good? EmotionOS? Debloat version of stock? suggestions?

I've been on Emotroid 6.0.1 for the past year with very few hiccups but I started looking for a new rom tonight as well.
EmotionOS is pretty much dead. Forums reveal the OP is retired from the N4 but work pseudo continues on through the Verizon wireless build.. Sounds sketchy to me as the sprint variant is no longer supported.
Lineage appears to be the rom Emotroid is built on, that said expect fewer customization's. It's brand new, but the activity on the forum looks promising so it's won my vote and I've got it flashing now.
Lineage is developed by the same guy/team who did CM.

[REQUEST] Bring the new Lineage OS to A (2016) Series

The Lineage OS is just getting out, and since A (2016) series phones really need a stock android based ROM, it would be very nice to see some developers working for this beautiful device as well. Given how popular this phone is, i think it's a shame there's no stock android ROM for it. We beg you developers, TouchWiz is really annoying!

Best setup for revived SG4 mini ?

Greetings,
finally, I got new mainboard for my SG4 mini (meantime suffering from the curse of Meizu MX4 paddle) and I'm thinking about tweaking it a bit before putting it to full use.
So, since I have little to zero knowledge (except rooted Huawei Ideos X1), I would really appreciate any advice on how I can improve its function or which SW I should install on my desktop and pair it with my phone, etc.
There were some discussions back in 2016, but maybe something new emerged - after all, SG4 is one of the last one-handed-phone.

nothing much as changed. You need Odin and the Samsung drivers installed on your PC (widows). I'd then go for the official LineageOS ROM, white latest TWRP, if your model is supported by them both

Custom Rom Development Request for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Neo

Hello everyone,
This is my first ever thread on XDA. I have two Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Neo (SM-T111). The thing is, the tablet slows down a LOT due to the 768MB of RAM and a REALLY SLOW processor. Currently, there are no custom roms for this tablet. I do not like Dr. Ketan's custom rom. I want a fresh, clean version of Android. I was patiently waiting for a group who tried making an Unofficial Lineage OS rom for the SM-T111, but it failed. The tablet has Android 4.2.2 (Jellybean) and it has too much bloatware. Also, the Samsung TouchWiz UI is NOT optimized at all for this tablet. Despite the tablet's screen resolution being 540p, Samsung decided to make all the wallpapers and icons close to 1080p. The TouchWiz UI seems to be really bogging down this tablet. I decided to at least remove the bloatware, wallpapers, ringtones, etc., but the rom is really hard to deal with. Can someone PLEASE help to create an Unofficial or Official version of LineAge OS? I really need it. I have owned both tablets for over 8 years. PLEASE HELP :crying:
