I am not quite sure what to make of this. I have ran LineageOS, PE and ArrowOS on my whyred before. I then decided to flash the current MIUI and ran that for a while. Wanted to play around with Roms again so I flashed TWRP again, and then a rom. Can connect to wifi but no texting or data. I was able to make and receive calls though. Tried 3 other roms with the same issue. Flashed MIUI again with Miflash and a fastboot Rom and everything works fine again.
Anyone have any ideas? I tried this 2 times, back and forth from roms to Miui and get the same result, it's very odd.

Tried to edit the APN settings but they are blanked out, what I mean is I can see all the settings but can't edit them. Tried to select network manually and it doesn't do anything, just reverts back to auto.

I have flashed the MIUI.us 1.9.9 on my phone the other day, and MMS will not work with anything i try. I have tried flashing some random .zip file for CM7, thinking it may work. Nothing.
I have tried to fix the APN settings: by flashing back to stock rom (2.1-update1), backing up the apn with the app, flashing back to MIUI and restore apn's. still nothing. I did this with another apn app. Again nothing.
I then tried to set up the apn setting from my carrier (GCI Alaska) from this: forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/26942-apn-settings-for-gci-cellular/. Again nothing.
And I have rebooted after everything i try.
What could i be doing wrong?
OK, so I have the Synergy GS3 ROM installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113436 and everything seems to be working pretty good except for the fact that I use Llama for my profiles and it is not seeing any cell ID updates? I know when I loaded the Rom it indicated in the install screen d2att so I must have the correct ROM. Any ideas? Do I need to add new APN Settings?

I have the same issue with tmobile with one exception. It won't let me add an APN. Nothing I do seems to work. For the first day or so it worked perfectly, then it reset it'self and said there was a sim error. I've reflashed several times, going back to factory stock before flashing again.

I've found a solution for the tmous problem. Flash the ktweaker kernel and it works just fine. :good:
I can not get any radio to work to make or receive calls! I flashed everyone out there and still can not make or receive calls. What method can I use do to get it to work? I flashed radio from TWRP with Factory reset, delvik and cache and then flash with no wipe and I just cant get that or any radio to work. I just get AT&T when I do a scan, which I use T-Mobile. When I choose search in settings in mobile networks, still nothing. When I try to use phone, it always says no network avail. and yes I have data box checked off. It just seams lately any Rom I flash after the newest stock, (JB) I have radio issues, can not make or receive calls. I even erased, wiped everything and started from scratch with stock. Phones works fine, but when I try any ROM, no calls, no matter what radio I flash. I must be doing something wrong. I must say, that I flashed many a Roms before and all worked well until now! I even download same radios in case I got a bad download. I can use kernels, such as Tiberius with Stock JB. I Flash a Rom and no radio, no matter what Rom. My version in stock is UVMC6, SGH T-989 phone. (T-Mobile). I know all phones are different and thought maybe something in stock files I might be able to use, but don't know which files. I am not a dev by any means and thought if I could use the stock I have now can work with the any Rom here. I never dirty flash anything, all Roms work that I flash from sd card, just not able to use phone in any Rom at all! I thought maybe I can manually put in APN, but I have no idea were to get address to enter. I am from Delaware if that matters as far as APN. Can anyone give any suggestions of what they did to get radio to work?

Verify your APN settings are correct. If there isn't a t mobile APN set up than try creating one. Also go to Settings > About Phone > Status and make sure your phone has a valid IMEI number (anything other than 0)

Thanks, yeah after all reading and troubleshooting it seems APN is where I have to create and/or edit! I found APN settings on Google and wrote down the settings that is on stock Rom where phone is working and will try it. Thanks for heading me in the right direction.

I'm in Canada and had same problem with SlimBean ROM (which is my favourite ROM). I flashed phone back to a stock ROM, flashed DARKSIDE.SUPER.WIPE, the ROM, and Gapps with TWRP recovery (in that order) and was back in business.
T989D
TWRP 2.4
SlimBean ROM 3.4

Still no radio, will try your way, thanks!
hello,
I have installed a custom rom onto my lg g3 d852 model. But after many failed attempts to correct it, my phone will not stay conected to my mobile network. My phone is now running MM 6.0 on the koodo network. I believe that this problem may have started because of a setting I may have changed in the hidden menu.
Ive tried:
-downgrading back to LP
-Switching sim cards
-updating firmware
-checked the imei (still says its there)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I have found a temporary solution. I switched to HSPA only in network options, this got my phone connected back to the network at least for now. I would like to have access to all frequencies. Any suggestions?
Bump...
Which custom ROM did you install, and does the problem persist after a factory reset? If it's merely a setting you changed the restet will put it back to default. If it's a modem setting you changed in the hidden menu, a clean flash of the ROM will get you back to where you started.

I made a mistake, the rom is a stock rom MM of Koodo/Telus provider that I downloaded off of xda... I can link to the rom if necessary. I have factory reset several times and tried Fulmics LP and MM and this version I'm currently using getting the same results.
If I were in your shoes, I'd do one of two things. First, I'd try the nand back I made when I got the phone, before I'd flashed anything. If you don't have a good back up, one that includes the efs, modem and bootloader, then you need to revert to stock using the factory kdz image. There's a tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
I shall give this tutorial a try. Thanks.
