Double boot animations during boot up - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

I flashed revenge os recently and then had the excellent idea of using midnight module from magisk to install a different boot animation ( which turned out to be a horribly bad idea).
Now whenever I boot up, Mi boot splash shows up first, then the boot animation of revenge os comes up and then again another boot animation of hammerhead (from nexus 5 done using the midnight module) comes up.
I checked the media folder using root explorer but there seems to only the boot animation of hammerhead but not revenge os.
Is there a solution for this or am I stuck here?

does it require root?
You don't need root. It needs Clockwork Recovery. Copy the zip file on your sdcard, boot into recovery mode and flash the zip file.

When I apply these, only the boot animation is changed! I still get that ugly CM7 splash screen (one with blue android man with skates).
Any solution?

Boot Animation

Please forgive my noobishness. I've been reading and learning and reading and learning and just when I think I learn how to do something it doesn't work at all. I guess that just goes with the territory.
Anyway, I was running the Blazer ICS rom but I recently flashed the Blazer 4.0 to check it out (it is AMAZING). I wanted to see if I could change to boot animation. The rom came with the generic Galaxy S2 animation. I have the jellybean animation and a transformer animation on my sd.
I flashed the jellybean animation in recovery and when I rebooted it showed a split second of it and then was just a black screen until the phone booted. Unhappy with that, I flashed the transformer animation and then when I rebooted it showed the same split second of the jellybean animation and then was a black screen until the phone booted.
At this point I decided to just screw it and attempted to go back to the generic animation that came with the rom. I went into system/media/ and in there was a zip of the JB animation and a zip of the Transformer animation. I deleted them both and rebooted my device.
This time the phone booted with an animation I'd never seen before. It was just a basic android logo that shimmered left to right. Where in the heck did that come from? Can someone please enlighten me on how to get an animation file working properly?
I thought I read somewhere that you can place an animation file in media/ and rename it, or something along those lines. Should it be a zip file? Should I delete one of the two "samsung boot" files? Which one?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Update: I figured it out. There was an extra boot animation zip in media/ that I didn't see. I deleted that and dropped the Transformer one in there and renamed it "sanim.zip". Works perfectly now. Thanks.

For replacing bootanimations yes you are correct, just rename the animation.zip to sanima.zip and delete the other boot animations that are there. And Blazer does have custom boot animation support so, you should be fine. That android logo you saw is a default boot animation when you don't have a custom one installed.
awesome glad you got it working.

[Q] Slow boot with ARHD custom bootanimation

Am using latest ARHD (9.6.0) and installed the "green android particles" boot
animation (bootanimation.zip into /data/local). This gives a boot time of over a
minute (as opposed to 8/9 seconds using standard boot animation). Is this
expected behavior?

Boot animation problems....

So a few months ago i tried changing the boot animation with rom toolbox pro by downloading the enable boot animation zip inside the app... now it when it boots up it shows the splash screen and then goes black for a min and then goes to the lock screen.... i tried downloading and flashing restore qmg boot animation zip from inside rom toolbox pro and now the only difference is it plays the power on sound now but still a black screen.
Can someone give me some insight without telling me to reflash the stock rom?
Edit: nvm i fixed it ... files i was some how missing "system/bin/bootanimation" and "system/lib/libSamsungAnimationUX.so"

Gif to Boot animation problems

So today I got Gif to boot feature on Boot Animations app by JRummy Apps. I created one boot animation and installed it however when my device boots up it only shows half the gif and then keeps playing that half of the gif until the phone starts. I made another boot animation with a different gif and that goes to fast. What i may be doing wrong? I have a note 2 N7105T rooted and runnig cm12.1
