Hello,
I have 3 questions :
1) Is the "one-handed" feature available in native on Android One MI A2 Lite ? I didn't find it in the settings.
2) Is it possible to remove the "Google Assistant Search bar" at the bottom of the homescreen ?
3) is it possible to make the homescreen pannel centered on a middle pannel instead of the far left one ? I didn't find any homescreen pannel management menus.
Thanks in advance for your help.

System / gestures. To enable the one handed feature , at least this what I think your referring to. 3 : I think trebuchet allows full sizing.

The on-screen menu - the row at the bottom of the screen containing Google Search, screen selector and app picker - seems to be fixed. Is there any way to edit this?
Yes. Try another ( your favorite ) launcher.

So the answer is 'No', there is not a way to edit the Samsung launcher - I have to install a different launcher?
Hello,
the launcher of cm11 only has two pages/panels and does not seem to support folders.
With Trebuchet launcher of cm9 this was still supported pretty fine. Or did I overlook anything?
Is there any tip from anybody how to configure that?...
Thank you very much.

Just drag an icon or widget to the right(from the rightmost page) to create a new page. And folders can be made by putting one app icon on another
Thank you very much. That's it.
My girl-friend found it out today also. I failed before after several tries.
Anyway a little info text within the launcher would have helped here! Cause I suppose I am not the only one who has problems with that...
Do you also know?...
* where to set the order option of the icon overview screen? (there is NO settings -> personalization -> Homescreen option in my version!!) I cannot find how to set it to alphabetical order.
* how to move the icons order manually?
* how to set the HOME desktop panel? When I press Android Home button always the most left panel is selected instead of the middle one.
Thank you very much for your help.

I don't use the stock CM launcher, but I'm pretty sure pressing the menu button will get some options if they exist

There's no such function in the device ... but i think u should try lazy swipe to get this feature back
1. Its called iSwipe and is apart of the Clean Master App that came with the phone.
2. Just open the app > me > Settings > iSwipe Settings.
All of these preinstalled apps lived a very short life on my device
All my recent phones have been Oneplus phones (5 and a 5T) and there is always an option to change the order of the recent and back buttons, I tend to prefer them the opposite way round .....but usually not an issue to change, but I cannot find any button switching on the recent and back buttons.
Also is there a option to make the recent and back buttons just drop off the screen when surfing , on the 5T you can assign a gesture so just flick up from the bottom of the screen and the buttons appear, which is really useful when reading a website as it gives you more screen to view rather than losing a centimetre from the bottom of the screen.....but once again I cannot find such an option.....anyone know how or if this can be set ?
Other than those and the battery percentage not showing ( I just use an app instead and turn the battery icon off) I am enjoying the phone, but those two fairly minor things would be nice to work out...
Probably you need root to do this on stock Android (there is already a pre-patched Magisk boot.img for the A2L). Then an app or a (still non-existent) Magisk module will do the trick.

Thanks is there any new for twrp for mi a2 lite
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
Not yet, but as I said above, if you search in the development section (very easy, there is only one thread at the moment) there is a user that posted a modified boot image that includes Magisk.
If you flash that image via fastboot and then install the Magisk manager apk, you'll be ok (there is a link to a guide in the same post with the boot image).
u can use xda navigation gusture..

HI , The only issue with the link is that it explains for rooted then has a link for non-rooted which takes you take a page of 24 pages full of different hacks that do not seem to explain how to do this for non-rooted phones.
Do you have a direct link to the non-rooted method please.
TYI
for the guys who don´t know if you press the settings button on the navigation bar bar about 10 sec ( keep doing until a new option appears on system menu) called interface tuning or similar that you can tweak the status bar
You can use "custom navigation bar", using adb instead of root.
this is not true. if it is true, show us.

I just tried, and it works. It unblocks a menu called "System UI Tuner".

maybe you mean notification shade
not navigation bar.
yes i can confirm that pressing the settings button on the notification shades for a few second make system UI tuner to appear on settings above developer settings. and it's only purpose is for hiding some statusbar icons.

Works as described.
I just rooted my 3 XL, and have Magisk installed of course.
So what are the must have Modules on this new phone ?
- Is there a mod that allows me to "Swipe down Expand notifications" without installing a separate launcher like Nova ?
- Mod to give me back the old 3 soft nav keys ? The Back / Home / Recents setup?
- Best battery saver mod ?
- Greenify still needed for Pixel 3 type phones ?
- Mod to allow me to have separate volume options for Ringer and Notification sounds ?
Thanks

1. Not that I'm aware of yet except nova.
2. This mod with adb shell will give you the old nav bar back..https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-3/help/how-to-remove-gesture-navigation-return-t3856560
3. Best battery saver mod is to let your phone learn your usage for a while, and keep track of any rouge apps you see.
4. I can't speak about greenify. Some like it, but I've never needed it on my P2XL. Can't imagine the P3XL will be much different.
5. You'll likely need a custom rom for that one.
How about mods for stock launcher to increase rows/columns and icon size?
Would rather keep using stock launcher (over custom ones) in order to use the native "swipe up" screen

take a look in the themes and mods section. there are mods you can flash available that will do that
The Edge Sense Plus app in the apps and mods section is great for changing the settings for the edge squeeze.
