Hey everyone i bought this S4 mini from kijiji and it was locked to a Canadian carrier virgin mobile. So i got it unlocked (by buying an unlock code) and i am trying to use chatr (cell phone carrier) here in Canada. When i go into search for mobile networks it does show me "chatr" and it does say registered on network but i am not able to make any calls because its always on "Emergency calls only". I have tried all the settings and i have also factory resetted the phone but still no luck. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the sim card as it works n the other phone. Also sim slot seems to be fine as well since it was asking for the unlock code. Please let me know if i need to flash the phone or what can i do to it to make it work. Sorry i am not that tech savvy. Heres the video i made of the stuff i just explained: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayCjJk8wY4Y

I need to know if I can flash this phone to run some other firmware allowing me to use my phone with GSM. I want to use it on StraightTalk but so far they claim my phone isn't able to be used with the bring your own phone, here are the phones spec's
Samsung Galaxy S6
Model Number: SM-920P (Sprint, unlocked)
software version: G920PVPS4CPJ1
Hardware version: G920P.02
Android version: 6.0.1
Android security patch level: october 1 2016
Build number: MMB29K.G920PVPS4CPJ1
Sprint won't let me use the phone on their network because it has been unlocked and they wont re-lock it to their network. So I am trying to get it to work on the Straight Talk network, I think it's my only option. I have a ATT sim card activated and working right now that fits into the S6 but it wont make phone calls, but will work in my other Straight Talk phone. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
a friend installed
"https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754475388"
to my at&t s9 sm-g960u
now as obvious - it is running T-Mobile software.
How do I revert or change this to normal?
I want to have my at&t firmware back and VOLTE wifi Calling etc,
as the cellular signal sucks since this change happened.
I am a noob here.. all the way.... so please speak dummy to me. hahaha.
Thanks for any help!

You have to flash the U1 firmware, then flash the AT&T G960U firmware. Same way you flashed T-Mobile, just in reverse.
Msg me i would like to help you to restore your device
Hi! Is anyone else seeing this?
VoLTE had finally been fixed and was working fine in Android 9.
But it stopped working (different symptoms) when I upgraded to Android 10 via the 6-MAY-20 System Update.
More info...4G LTE data works fine.
Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Networks -> "VoLTE calls" feature is visible, and I enabled it (says "Use LTE data networks for calls whenever possible").
But whenever I dial, it switches from LTE to 1xRTT.
Phone is an unlocked Verizon S9 on Tracfone's Bring Your Own Phone plan using Verizon's network. Stock ROMs, not rooted.
Doesn't matter if WiFi is on or off.
Under "SIM card status", "Mobile data network type" is LTE. But "Mobile voice network type" is "1xRTT" and I don't know why.
Appreciate any help!
P.S. I wonder if this new problem might also only occur with MVNOS as apparently was the case in the "For those who use Verizon MVNO's VoLTE Now works after Update!" thread in this forum?
I did not find a solution for Android 10. Since I received no replies, I’m guessing that this may not be a widespread problem. E.g. perhaps it only affects MVNOs such as Tracfone.
Fortunately, the locked bootloader did allow me to use Odin to downgrade from the May 6, 2020 Android 10 (G960USQS7DTE1) version to the Nov 26, 2019 final Android 9 version (G960USQS7CSK5). I wish I could go back to an even older version because I used to only have half the idle battery drain last year. But the locked bootloader does not seem to permit it.
After downgrading back to Android 9, “SIM card status -> Mobile voice network type” is now LTE instead of 1xRTT, and VoLTE works again. Hopefully there will be a solution and I will be able to upgrade again some time. Please let me know if you have any info on this problem.

I see that G960USQU3BRJ5 is Android 8.0.0 with build date Mon, 15 Oct 2018 09:34:58. The problems I am aware of have been with Android 9 and 10. So hopefully VoLTE will work fine on your phone as it is. (As an aside,
your battery life may be better than the recent builds of Android 9 and 10 too.)
The details of enabling VoLTE seems to vary by carrier, but should not be hard to find with an Internet search. Good luck!

I just acquired a new unlocked Galaxy Note 10+ SM-N975U1 a week ago from the Microsoft Store. I got it working on the T-Mobile network without issues except for firmware upgrades. The device automatically downloaded & installed about 5 upgrades but stopped when showing:
Software update information:
Current version: N975U1UEU3CTC9 / N975U1OYM3CTC9 / N975U1UEU3CTC9
Security patch level: April 1, 2020
From what I can tell, this seems to mean that I am running Android 10, but not OneUI 2.5.
I'd like to flash a later security patch level and get the OneUI 2.5 update. Is SamMobile.com the best place to get the latest firmware? If so, should I choose the latest "USA (T-Mobile (TMB)" option even though this is not a T-Mobile locked device? Or, is there a better option to select?
Thanks in advance.
