I'm from India. I'm planning to buy a pixel 2 xl from Europe. i have a few questions pertaining to the phone.
1. are indian bands supported?
2. will it support volte (jio and Airtel) in india without changing the firmware?
3. is there an indian version of the firmware and will it be possible to install this version from a service centre in India?
4. will warranty be covered in india?
5. will there be any other issues that i should be concerned about?
6. also will any of the scenarios be different if i bought a us version phone?
Thanks in advance

to answer knowledge about the phone's supported bands in india and Europe is necessary that's why I'm asking this here.
Considering a purchase of this piece, but clear call recording is a must. Does anyone know if feature is available in the firmware like in Huawei already or app e.g. ACR that is working fine ?

Slovenia EU country.
Proof pls, Operator & FW, where did you buy phone from ?
Its baked into the Firmware. It just needs unlocking using the correct CSC Here in the UK (EU) and its not available as an option.
Its possible to mod the device in include all.
Unfortunately the only way of doing this is via ROOT.
Acr works fine for me. Snapdragon model.
anyway to unlock it in the US ?
Acr works on mine but not over bt

You used F firmware for your country, or from somewhere else? Lost NFC functionality? What else?
And what version did you flash, this last one, Android 10? On top of Android 9?
Hello,
I updated my SM-505FN with SM-505F.
Everything works fine except that I lost NFC so I'll switch back to my original software as soon as Android Q is released for my mobile.
Thank you Muhamet again.

Hello
I am from Algeria ( North Africa ) and my mobile is an ORX ( Slovakia CSC ). I wanted to get android 10 on my phone. Android 10 was not released nowhere except in those two countries so I had no other choice.
Hi, I wanted to ask if converting the model from F to FN and the other way around, can there be reception problems or worse signal? for example, I am Italian, if I install the Indian software do I have the same results as the fn itv software for Italy? thanks in advance
Yes it will cause issues, for one you will lose NFC functionality.. the update should be next month for everyone so just chill and wait..
Ok thank you

A505FN/SEE DUAL SIM 4/128 flashed with A505F/INS
Only NFC is gone, DUAL SIM is working and everything else.
Android 10 feels much better, wifi on 5Gz much stable, fingerprint is awesome,
in other words 10 is great.
Cheers

Well are you saying i should flash the indian built on my phone?
i would suggest if you want to use an indian network
Well I'm currently in india as i live here. Anything that can help to get 5G on my device is fine
Doesn't matter. You should test your speed first.

Hi,
I have tried looking on OnePlus official site and googling but im coming up with very limited info. Im in the UK and want a UK version with a global ROM.
I have seen that there is the CPH2449 is apparently the official UK version but also that PHB110 can work in the UK as it has global rom.
My question is, does anybody know or is there anywhere i can check the differences in models ?
Both the CPH2449 and PHB110 apparently come with the global rom so what's the real difference ? OnePlus recommend the CPH2449 variant but i can find the other much cheaper.
Cph2449 is global/eu and the PHB110 china model what have Stock cos installed and can flash to oos and have than no longer ander the PHB110 in the phone info than when you flash the global rom/eu rom than have it the cph2449 in the phone info

Just wondering as I notice India receives the updates alot quicker than the UK ROM, would the call block still apply even if a call is first made using UK ROM and then after install?

If you buy the China model, you must first activate it if it is not already activated, otherwise you will have a call block on the China model because it is used outside of China

Ok thanks for the reply and information.
You can buy it much cheaper and then:
Deal with call restrictions
Deal with bricking your device
Deal with losing both your IMEIs
All three are down to changing your ROM. I'm just astounded that you, as a UK citizen, are trying to save what amounts to two maybe three tickets to the cinema.
Good luck.

Im not bothered if i have to spend a little more, i simply did not know the difference, didnt realise all of the restrictions etc. The seller was telling me it will work fine in the UK and its cheaper. It would be silly not to look it up or ask.
