This issues applies if you are using a launcher which has the google app on left swipe of the home screen. If you kept your phone on maximum battery saver mode (which uses 720p resolution) for a while and then changed back to 1080p or 1440p resolution, then the pics in the news articles appear distorted. The only way to fix it is to clear the google app data or reboot the phone. Is there any other solution?

So here's the problem, guys:
Whenever I try to take 720p, after clicking the camera button to finish the recording it slides the video, but the camera remains black and doesn't show anything (freezing).
You can use HOME button to go the main menu, but still after relaunching camera app it slides the photos but no image from camera at all.
It starts working again only after rebooting. Got NoDo, changed registry setts only in unlock state and dehydration.
UPD: it also freezes sometimes even at capturing 480, but not always. in about 40-50%.
So I have this weird issue with my OP5T, whenever I play a video in full screen (landscape orientation), using YouTube Vanced, VLC, or any video video applications, after some time, I'd say around 2 to 5 min, my phone orientation automatically switches back to portrait without even touching or holding the phone in my hand.
I was wondering if anyone ever had this issue and eventually found a fix for this behavior ?
Yea i got the same thing ....but mine dose it in most apps....not just watching videos.... Gyro sensor is way off...just can't find how to fix .....
Every time I playback HDR content through YouTube, Vanced or the built in player the brightness doesn't increase automatically to full. When I increase the brightness to max manually then I get a pop up massage that "can't change brightness cause another app controlling it". I tried every possible combination on power modes/ screen options but no luck. Also on Vanced there is an option to automatically increase brightness to full when HDR content is displayed but doesn't seem to work either.. Any ideas?

Facing the exact same issue with my Note 10 plus. Tried all the possible power settings including adaptive power mode and even the video enhancer, but just not able to get it to work. The brightness goes up only for a second when I turn the phone from portrait to landscape mode and vice versa. I am sure this is a software bug. I think some issue with the Pie actually and not Samsung's Oneui because I had this issue even on my oneplus 7 pro.
Same issue here...
The brightness randomly decreases/increases sometimes on stock miui rom.
I have 3 poco m2 pro and the issue occurs on two of them. Both of these were bought in July when the poco M2 pro was sold in its first sale. I bought the third one in October and the issue does not seem to be present there.
Basically brightness decreases randomly in certain apps. It can be reproduced with 100% reproduction rate in the following situations [keep brightness to max to notice it easily]
1.Launch camera app from homescreen. [more noticeable with white homescreen background] You'll see the brightness dip immediately. The brightness will increase back again to normal value after you close camera by pressing home/back button.
2.In Youtube, when you pull down the notification shade, you'll notice the brightness increases a bit [video must keep playing, paused wont work. Watch some bright video like Graham's explanation of the Gamestop stock video]
3.Open a doc in drive pdf viewer, hide the app ui by letting it stay for a while. Then trigger the ui by tapping on the pdf somewhere, the ui elements come onscreen and brightness also increases.
It also occurs in other apps but cannot reproduce reliably. I have darkmode on,Sunlight mode and auto brightness disabled and the forced dark mode for apps disabled.
Factory format does not help. I visited the service center as well, they took a bug report and said everything is fine. I have been back and forth from the service center and poco email customer service regarding this. They have formatted my phone several time but have been unable to fix the issue and insist nothing is wrong with the device, even though they do also agree that they notice the brightness dip/increase. I argued they should replace my devices if they can't figure out the issue , but they refused and as such now refuse me service at the service center. Please advice.
Hi,
Has anyone noticed this weird screen flickering on the Pixel 6 pro in the Google photos app? I can only reproduce it when - I shoot a video in landscape mode and while viewing it in landscape mode pull up from the bottom to bring up the video details. I notice it when the Smooth display is turned on and also when I force high refresh rate (120 Hz) from developer settings. I can't reproduce it with smooth display turned off (when the refresh rate is 60Hz). The phone is updated with the latest December update.
In addition I dont see this when I view the landscape video in portrait and also not when I shoot a portrait video and view it in landscape.
I replicated your scenario but I don't have/see the problem.
Suggestion: clear data/cache from Photos app, restart app.
No problem on my end.
