With Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite it's not clear how the quick features in the status bar for tones with Android One work.
If I want that it's set with only the vibration how should I set up? And if I want to remove all the tones how I have to proceed?
I also find the icons in the status bar unclear. They are grey and if they are selected they become only slightly darker so I often do not understand if they are selected or not. There are applications that allow for example that if the function / icon is selected it appears colored and if it is not selected it is grey (Nova Launcher for example)? Is the status bar with Pie clearer?
If from Android One you switch to Pie (without root?) and then you are not happy with it it's possible to go back to One?

Hey,
Does anybody knows if it's possible showing android's notification bar while using fullscreen mode?
I found this cool app called full!screen.
It allows you to use fullscreen mode and gives you 2 buttons on the bottom corners with adjustable size and transparency, one of them is HOME and the other is BACK, you can slide them and get more options like RECENT APPS or canceling the fullscreen mode...
The only thing that missing here is the notification bar, its a deal breaker for me and I really want to use this fullscreen feature.
If there are any ideas please feel free to shoot
Thanks

I've tested several things with stock and Nova, but no luck. I was surprised the nova action for expand notifications wouldn't work. This isn't with the app you mentioned, though, it is with AOSPA and JDX, both of which have full screen options built in. The custom ROMs that have this feature built in typically allow you to show the notification bar. You could combine a custom ROM that allows removal of nav keys without removing status bar, then use a launcher like Nova to hide the status bar on the home page.

Thanks it sounds like a great idea, I'll try it :good:
p.s. why hiding the status bar on the home page?
Not sure if this is what you want but Smart Statusbar let's you access the notification bar from full screen apps.
Edit: just downloaded full!screen to try it out and it doesn't seem to work with that app.
full screen and keeps status bar
pie navigator
make sure to set up 'pie' controls before setting full screen and rebooting, or you'll be stuck with no way to navigate

I only mentioned that because I wasn't sure if you wanted the status bar or just wanted access to the notifications. I prefer having the status bar so I can easily see the time, battery, notifications, etc., but many prefer to hide the status bar for aesthetic reasons. With Nova, you can hide the status bar but still swipe down to expand notifications.
Use PA. Then go to hybrid properties, and set the Navigation Bar to 0%. This would make the nav bar disappear and trigger pie but with the status bar still at the top

Finally I used "button savior" app and than removed the softkeys by editing BuildProp file using "BuildProp Editor" adding the line: "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1", Reboot and that does it, no softkeys. Thanks for the advice for removing the softkeys :good:
I also prefer the status bar on... when I hide the status bar (using nova) there's no option pulling it back
I used Rom tool box to change the color of my status bar icons (individually different colors), but the new icon colors are reverted back to stock blue when I go to my home screen. I think that paranoid hybrid (per app) settings are somehow messing with this, but I can't figure out how to get them to stop and leave the rom tool box settings alone when on the home screen (trebuchet). I'm not really sure whats happening because I also have the status bar background set to transparent (in trebuchet), and it seem to randomly revert back to black every once in awhile.

I figured it out, kinda. You can't really mix and match status bar icon colors from both hybrid settings and rom toolbox. You have to go with one or the other....just in case someone else runs into this problem
In the settings, by default, there are only light colors for the navbar, which don't fit quite well dark apps like Spotify and Reddit.
Is there a way to set it black?
I already tried:
- LG themes and high contrast mode: they work, but also change the whole UI look.
- Nacho Notch, Navbar Apps and other applications on PlayStore: they don't change only the default color, but the color used everywhere (e.g.: Nacho Notch sets the navbar to be always black, even when it should be transparent, like in the launcher).
- Alpha Substratum theme: it doesn't affect default navbar color (or, at least, I wasn't able to let it do it).
Does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks.
I don't see it either. Apart from another launcher, I think your only option is going to be a dark theme.

Use nacho notch or navbar apps.
Or double tap the left hand dot to hide the Nav Bar in those apps you don't like the look??
I just use System UI Tuner. A few ADB commands for permission for the app to run and all is good. Find it in the Play Store. Instructions are supper easy to follow and you can hide either the nav bar status bar or go full immersive and hide both even on the home screen like I do.

Alpha most certainly has this option. That was one of the first things I did when I added G7 support! You do have to go and manually select black but the option is definitely there
Thanks!

I finally found out how to do it! I needed to "force" the black navigation bar selection in the settings after having built "System UI".
I also quickly followed a fellow XDA members advice on how to enable High Contrast to phone in the settings and makes the phone dark as can be. It solved my Setting Theme to all black and Navigation bar to black as well. Just had to change the wallpaper back but works well.
Since the R6P notification bar sucks I was wondering if there´s an app that I can install to replace it. I don´t want to have to slide down the bar to be able to see my notifications. I want it to be like on all other android phones where if you get a whatsapp, a facebook or any notification they stay visible and identifiable on the screen.
Notification bar is normal on miuipro. You can use super notch app to see notifications on other roms.
On miui global 9.6.6.0 stable it's not normal
1. pixel launcher crashes after I set it as default
2. If i have these status icons: sim1, sim2, wifi, bt, night light (led), nfc - i don't see app icons in staus bar for notifications - ie. gmail or sygic when downloading maps, etc. Not even notification light, only app "badge". In app permissions everything in notifications is enabled etc. And in settings apps & notifications also everything enabled.
And also in gmail settings itself everything in notification settings is enabled.
UPDATE: so after manually enabling everything for gmail in "app launch" I get notification LED, but status bar with the notch i just tragic and it is not showin, instead it is full of system icons, I guessed that after year of notched phones this will be sorted, but well I was wrong. That is huge oversight - thre should be options to display smaller battery icon and smaller dual sim and wifi icons, also eye care and dnd icons. basically all system icons should be dual row and fit into right part of the notch so there is space for actual notifications on the left.
You can use CPL instead of the Pixel Launcher.
It's way more customizable as the name (Custom Pixel Launcher) suggests and I haven't experienced any issues.
CPL also does not work, I think it is based on same source. I can get over the pixel launcher issue, but missing notification icons in status bar because of the notch are really what bothers me.
I thought all the notch hate was only for how it looks, that did not bother me, but now I also hate it.
