I used Rom tool box to change the color of my status bar icons (individually different colors), but the new icon colors are reverted back to stock blue when I go to my home screen. I think that paranoid hybrid (per app) settings are somehow messing with this, but I can't figure out how to get them to stop and leave the rom tool box settings alone when on the home screen (trebuchet). I'm not really sure whats happening because I also have the status bar background set to transparent (in trebuchet), and it seem to randomly revert back to black every once in awhile.

I figured it out, kinda. You can't really mix and match status bar icon colors from both hybrid settings and rom toolbox. You have to go with one or the other....just in case someone else runs into this problem

Im just curious as to how to get the coloured icons in the notification area....only the standard ones like wifi signal, phone signal and data etc....as i have flashed many gingerbread roms and was hoping they would change but they still stay stock white/grey (except battery which changed to new gingerbread one
google search uot kitchen
thanks for reply.....but am i being stupid because i cant find where it will replace wifi icon and phone signal....just giving me options for battery , status bar colour and boot splash etc....is there not a more straight forward way of changing wifi signal icon to green like gingerbread...thanks
Check app and theme section. There are many different themes you can apply that will give you the look you need.
Just read carefully as most are ROM specific.

the second page after you change the battery, it asks you what kind of status bar icons you want ..... you get a choice of icons for a black status bar, or ones for a white status bar

yeah it should do, if not just do a nandroid before you flash, any issues and you can just restore
right just checked the contents of my drawable hdpi folder to find that i have green coloured icon pngs but still have no green coloured wifi icon....or signal icon.....does anyone know why these aren't changing even though im flashing custom roms with these files within.?
Does anyone know of an icon set similar to the default white icons. I want to add custom apps to my nav bar and would prefer them to be all matching.

I use those, they are ICS blue not white though.
Yeah I saw those but I am wanting to add the phone app to my navbar and the default icon sticks out.
How come HTC didn't make the status bar and navigation bar transparent like everyone else are doing after Kitkat? Am I missing something? Is there an option to turn it off?

It's transparent on the home screen and lock screen, and then changes color based on the app that you're in. It's just a design choice on HTC's part. Custom roms and/or sense 6 toolbox (when it comes out) will probably let you force transparency all the time. However, transparent status bar and white icons with no shadow or outline can make for a bad day if you pick the wrong wallpaper.

Yea when I had my nexus 5 I was basically the same way it varied between apps mainly for that reason that visibility of the of the icons would be horrible.

Oh I see, I am just asking because I am using the Google Launcher and it doesn't have transparent status/navigation like the Nexus 5 does.
I have a rooted P600 model with Xposed and the Wanam module, and even with the option checked I can't get that persistant WiFi icon off my status bar. I've also tried making signal icons and remaining status bar icons transparent, but it's still showing up. Is there an extra step I need to take (besides reboot, which I've done for every change)?
Edit: I didn't see the slider at the top right of the screen when changing colors. After activating it, I can successfully make the icon transparent, but it leaves a gap between my battery icon and any other icon that pops up (like the muted icon, Bluetooth, etc)

What ROM are you using? I've experienced issues with a ROM having custom settings and Wanam settings conflicting. Try a stockish ROM (if you're on one) and maybe that will help. Other than that, I'm not sure
Search for SB Icon Hider on xposed modules

I'm on a completely stock ROM. I also just found out that you have to activate the sliding toggle on the top right corner of the color changing screen to apply any changes you make. Making it transparent is the only solution at this point, apparently. In addition, I double checked to see if I had any other modules that could be giving conflicting commands to the SB, but I don't see any problems.
Hey guys, in the messaging app and settings screen the top status bar does not change to the right color... It may be the theme but I wanted to see if you guys knew why this was happening.
Works fine for me

I tried another theme and it seems fine... I think it has to do with the gradients in the k white theme
