Screen mode ?

Hey guys
I just bought my first ever android phone(note 2 of course) and I'm loving it so far.I use it pretty much the whole day and I found the screen to be a little too saturated and it hurt my eyes after a lot of usage .So I found the screen modes and tried "natural"
And so far,my eyes have been much more relaxed but I'm finding the colors a bit washed out(that's maybe because I was used to the standard mode ? )
Anyway, what color mode do you use and why ?
Thanks
I use standard, but neutral looks more real, more close to natural colors. OLED screens are over saturated itself, so it's better to use Neutral. But yeah, colors do look little washed out!

What about a glance when you lift the phone? i would like to know the hour without having to turn the screen on. And why the "quick reply when phone is locked" can't be disabled??

I'm not trying to bash or anything but what's the point of this? We already have stock Moto display and fully functional Moto X4 port so I don't know why would anyone use this downgrade port.

this display is same as ambient display is terms of functioning, i mean it won't pop up randomly. there are many people who were wishing for a display like ambient display "a pop up when you recieve a notification". for me it is very useful as it is giving me a good hike in battery backup coz it is not using the proximity, i use unregistered finger to see the time instantly, if it's not useful for you it doesn't mean it isn't useful for anybody. (138 already tried this apk)

No Dark Theme for Mate 20 (non-pro) (EMUI 9) (Sorta Solved)

EDIT: I made a simple dark theme for the mate 20 and EMUI 9 and you can check it out and help fix the bugs here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ma...pro-huawei-t3868805/post78197158#post78197158

Hey guys,
So I got the Mate 20 (non-pro) and it's been great. Only thing that's really annoying about it compared to the pro is that Huawei removes the option to "Darken Interface Colors" on their non-pro phones.
Which basically means that I'm unable to use a dark theme, since all of the EMUI 9 themes in the themes store do not alter the notification shade or settings or any other system apps.
I tried downloading a lot of dark EMUI 8 themes but they all have issue with black on black text.
Can anyone tell me how to get a dark theme for my Mate 20?
Thank you!
Settings-Battery-darken interface
I don't have that option either, using latest updates. Best suggestion I have is to use a 3rd party launcher like nova and use its dark theme, which themes the launcher but not the notifications and settings screens.

This option is nit available in Mate 20.
Only available on mate 20 pro as it had oled screen. Mate 20 had LCD screen so dark mode is not necessary.
Can I ask, on your mate 20 does the earpiece act as a second stereo tweeter speaker in landscape mode or is there only one speaker on the mate 20?

The mate 20 plays audio from both the earpiece and the speaker, sounds great IMO.
And if you're charging the main speaker doesn't get blocked (with the mate 20 pro the speaker is inside the usb-c port)

I thought so. That means anandtech's review is wrong. They say and I quote: "On the Mate 20, we do find the speaker grill. Unfortunately this is the only speaker on the Mate 20, as the earpiece doesn’t serve as a stereo tweeter."

Yep, I just blocked the bottom speaker and the sound is coming loud and clear from the earpiece.
Btw, I just made a simple dark theme for EMUI 9 in case anyone wants to try it or help fix the small bugs

They dont know how to use Huawei phones. When 'stereo+' enabled in sound settings, u have to tilt your phone to landscape/horizontally to get the stereo effects. Make sense, when vertically, it just use mono bottom speaker.

HELP! Huawei just rolled out the EMUI 9.1 update. Now I am unable to read the User Experience Improvement Programme after the update, and I cannot move into the OS home screen, settings, there's no home button at all.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/19yVGPIOh7Ltm6xV7qDCsxkuTPvtsphM2/view?usp=sharing
Please tell everyone to change back to other themes first before updating to 9.1 !
Will the EMUI 10 update provide dark mode for the mate 20? I kept on seeing that it's a main feature of Android Q, but for some reason I am still skeptical about it. ?*

Wow, could you tell me what makes your phone different? And what do you mean under legacy firmware? I thought that only csc(locally disabled functions) and hardware (nfc for example) differences we have between versions of the phone. Maybe is this some kind of addon what you have installed with root?
I use Nicelock's One Hand Operation+. Vibration intensity can be set for this app, so technically, it's possible.

Question Notification not working properly

I was wondering if someone has a fix for notifications not displaying or showing up. A lot of my app notifications are not coming through.
I tried setting them on heavy power consumption, enabling all settings for notifications, setting smart notifications off and so on but nothing seems to work.
