Bluetooth sound problems and ringer volume - alternative dialer app? (PX5 Android 8) - MTCD Android Head Units General

Hi, I need advice on two very bad bluetooth sound issues with stock dialer phone app on my Kanor PX5 Android 8 4Gb/32Gb head unit:
1. No sound when people call me. When I call, everything works fine, but when I receive a call - no sound. I can pick up, then tap on double-arrow (switch audio to phone), then tap again to switch audio back, and then it sometimes works! But never by default. When I call out using the same stock dialer - usually it works OK.
2. Ringer volume is crazy high, I want to catapult from my car when it rings. No ringer settings anywhere, no separate volume controls, nothing... Is there any way to disable ringer or change the sound?
Is there alternative phone dialer app that can replace the stock one? Any other ideas how to solve that?

I have a problem that started to happen 2 days ago, when someone calls me I can not hear the person, but she did listen to me, and I look in the setting of volume and the volume was up, try all ways to solve this and all I could solve this problem was installing a custom rom, but now I hear the person when talking to me, but my Speaker sounds slightly wrong as loud, and not very clear and a bit annoying in my ear, prior to this had an application to increase the volume of tone call but do not think it's for this application, it is strange that I have a backup of my ROM stock when I dont had this problem without the application, and install the backup and still had this problem I can not listen to anyone when I call, only the custom rom solved this problem, but the sound is not very clear is too loud.
what was going on with this, would be my Speaker defective???
Same here
Had this happen to me when I was stock. Brought phone back got a new one. Haven't had any problems since and now have flashed countless ROMs.

Flip for Speaker feature missing

I recently upgraded to M8 from old One S and missing "Flip for Speaker" feature a lot. If somebody doesn't know that was a feature in many HTC phones earlier that would turn on speakerphone during call if you flip your phone screen down on the table. Helps a lot during those wait times etc. There is no such thing on M8 and I'm missing it a lot. I thought first that may be they removed it due to the front speakers, but I tested speaker and microphone face down and see absolutely no issue. I tried a separate "UpSoundDown" app, but it doesn't work very well.
Can somebody tell me is there a ROM that has the feature that I'm looking for? Is there a Kernel that can enable it? Where to look for this and where to request it if feature wasn't implemented?

No any input on this?
If anyone interested the best solution I found so far is Auto Speaker app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hanan.android.ramkol&hl=en
It works pretty good , but still I would much prefer "Flip for Speaker" option, because of lower power consumption during those waiting times and due to the way Auto Speaker switch works.
Does anyone know xposed module with such functionality? Where would be a good place to put a rom/xposed request like this?

In Call Volume Issue

I posted this in the Pixel forum as well.
So I just recently noticed that I cannot adjust the volume while on a phone call. The volume buttons trigger the slider, and the slider moves, but the volume does not change. Also, the volume slider doesn't go all the way down. It stops at about the 15-20% mark. Here's a screenshot of the volume slider as low as it will go:

After some searching, I found a PIxel User Community post on the same topic, and posted there as well: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/phone-by-google/P0Lc5nX-Huk
I also found a news item from last summer, describing a similar problem with the Nexus 5: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Goog...l-bug-brought-on-by-the-latest-update_id83468
The following description from back then is far too much like what is going on with my phone to be a coincidence:
"Some of the issues that users are complaining about include the inability to adjust the volume during a call, even though the slider does move. Another complaint found on the AOSP Issue Tracker includes one from a Nexus 5 user who is unable to move the volume slider under the second lowest position."

Question No notification sound/music after changing the default phone/call app

Hi,
I am used to use the Orange phone application for calls because of interesting feature such local call identifier, spam or sale center identification ....
Fact is that as soon as you change the default application for calls on Nubia Red Magic 6 (ROM is last 3.27), when a call arrive, you get the pop up but no music.
Whatever you try to use an integrated music, any else added to the phone, there is no sound. As soon as Nubia phone app is back default, it works.
HAve you experience such issue and know how a workaround ?
Thanks for your answer.
I am currently use Announce caller as my ringtone in settings. That’s the only way I can hear when my phone rings using Google phone at.
@slimdaddycmf, thanks for your feedback but what do you mean by "Announce caller" ? is that an app (if so can you link ?) or a setting.
@fredlamour , launch Google phone app, go to settings in the app and at the bottom you will see caller ID announcement.

Sorry for not being a help, but does it still vibrate? Or there is absolutely nothing except the call pop-up?
For me there is nothing (no sound/vibration). Only that popup and screen that wake up.
I have tested the option with announce call id but it is as short as the name of the caller is. So for me it is limited.
