Lg g4 battery dropping from 70% to 3% - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
This is my first post and it's because lately my baterry on lg g4 h815 is dropping from 70% to 3% or sometimes turns of and then the battery % starts to go back up. Does anyone know what's going on? Why this is happening?
It first started with the original battery. I bought a new one thinking it could be a dieing battery but it is doing the same thing.
I will leave so screen shots to illustrate what I am saying.

You bought a fake lg battery
Invest in a power bear battery

I have same problem a couple times. The battery has been original, for couple years have phone, i think battery counted his cycle, but read a lot who buy a new one big change don't see. And now with a two year old battery charge 100% scroll down instagram, facebook, play game ~10min, the phone is getting warm already, and battery gave ~70% veryyy bad :/ 60-20% have phone restart, some times just restart, some time restart and battery have 3%.. 99% I get restart when I turn on instagram, when the phone battery is less than 50%..

It's difficult to buy a legitimate battery. I've twice bought them from Amazon and they ended up being fakes that would fall out of the sky randomly.
Anybody know a good source for the United Kingdom?

I wouldn´t buy such a big battery!
Universal is big enough to make it even more
I prefer to have 2 original batteries
Mine now has 3 years of continuous power... I just find it really hard to hide the battery pack without people commenting
- but on the plus side, I have been able to jump-start peoples cars with this cold weather coming in!

[Q] Discharged battery on arrival

How many of you did receive a dead battery on arrival? Some people in sweden did and they claim to have terrible batterylife according the themself. This units dosen't seem to survive a day with easy use. Could it be a connection here with a dead/over-discharged battery and the terrible batterylife that some experience?
How many of you did receive a dead battery on arrival and does it perform worse than avarage?

Uhm I got a normal one but a dead battery could be a bad sign considering this kind of battery technology doesn't like being on low % of battery. If your battery had 0 % from the start it could really damage it.
There could be a link between an empty battery and bad battery performance.
(Just my 2 cents)
My phone didn't arrive dead, but they turned it in for me in the shop and it died on me on the way home. Plugged it in to power and it took ages before it displayed a flashing orange light, then another good 15 mins before I got a solid orange light and it was charging to the point where I could turn it on.
That said, here are my stats today.

I would expect to get over 4 hours screen on time, which seems ok to me, considering we should get further improvement with updates.

rooted g3 fully updated awful battery drain

hello,
so i just unplugged my phone at 98% right before my shower and it drained 7% within the 10 minutes (not even) that i was in the shower. bluetooth was on and the phone was in the shower with me (not literally but in the bathroom with me) as i was listening to music o
via Spotify on a bluetooth speaker.
anyone have any ideas why my battery is draining so heavily? only app that was running was Spotify then settings was the only thing open in the background. brightness was at 48% as it was hard to see it otherwise. data and wifi are on but signal for both is good.

Brother i know what you are feeling. Having data on when you are using wifi still results in drain, turn it off
I have the same problem as well and i dont even listen to any music on mine except the FM radio
LG G3 is the biggest piece of crap ever. Will never buy another LG Smartphone again

i love my g3 but i noticed that i took it into the shower with me today and did the same thing except it was charged to 100% this time and ir stayed at 100% the whole time. my shower wasnt much if any shorter or longer than my last one.
yeah im doing that from now on and now im using the free wakelock indicator to see if it helps at all. if not ill re-download 2x battery saver as i know it works.

LG G3 Turns off randomly, when turned on again, shows much less battery percentage

So, I have an LG G3 D855 for about 2 years now, it has the original firmware, never rooted, never flashed, all original...
And, recently it has started to turn off by itself randomly, when I turn it on again, it shows much less battery percentage that it had when it shut down...

Does anyone knows what could be causing this, and how to fix it?
I really want to avoid buying a new battery, since it's price is much above average on my country... A replacement one costs around $46 here

You need a new battery definitely ... You could try to calibrate the battery, factory reset and see if that lets you get by ... But slowly it will definitely get worse

Phone dead (screen broke), should I disconnect battery from the board?

So, huh, my Z2P is dead (the screen broke) and I guess I won't be able to even pay the cost of the new replacement screen.
They are charging 75$ for a GENERIC, non-original replacement screen in my nearest repair phone store.
Seems like a bad deal to me, so instead of paying those 75$, I got this nice used phone in 100$ called Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
I have one question, should I disconnect the battery from the board?
And if disconnected I don't have to charge it again? Or should I charge like every once in a month?
I know that having lithium batteries totally discharged for a long time isn't good at all.
So I guess I won't be participating in this forum anymore. Was pretty fun while it lasted.
BTW, it seems that this battery isn't 3000mAh at all, it says 2820mAh.

Sorry LEo. I guess I don't understand why you want to charge the battery if the phone is no good?

The phone can be repaired but some batteries die when they aren't charged in a long time, and as long as the battery is connected to the board it will keep it draining very slowly even if the phone is not turned on, this may cause the battery to be completely drained out, and if not charged every once in a while it can die pretty quickly and never charge again.
