hello,
so i just unplugged my phone at 98% right before my shower and it drained 7% within the 10 minutes (not even) that i was in the shower. bluetooth was on and the phone was in the shower with me (not literally but in the bathroom with me) as i was listening to music o
via Spotify on a bluetooth speaker.
anyone have any ideas why my battery is draining so heavily? only app that was running was Spotify then settings was the only thing open in the background. brightness was at 48% as it was hard to see it otherwise. data and wifi are on but signal for both is good.

Brother i know what you are feeling. Having data on when you are using wifi still results in drain, turn it off
I have the same problem as well and i dont even listen to any music on mine except the FM radio
LG G3 is the biggest piece of crap ever. Will never buy another LG Smartphone again

i love my g3 but i noticed that i took it into the shower with me today and did the same thing except it was charged to 100% this time and ir stayed at 100% the whole time. my shower wasnt much if any shorter or longer than my last one.
yeah im doing that from now on and now im using the free wakelock indicator to see if it helps at all. if not ill re-download 2x battery saver as i know it works.

Hey all,
I just thought I would post this as I thought it was quite incredible.
I don't know what HTC's stats are on 'standby time' (which is usually how long a phone will last with no radio gear active) but look at how long my Desire lasted when I took the sim card out

That's 302 hours
Just Sayin'...
Another thing that I noted was the vast amount of 'awake' time vs 'screen on' time, sometimes lasting hours.
What does android have to do so desperately whilst the screen, radio, wifi, in fact everything is turned off??

Its not Andeoid really. My best bet would be that Go Weather app.
via xda app
I'm not entirely convinced that it is, I could uninstall GoWeather or do a /userdata wipe and retry to see if it'll last any longer?
Even if you put it on airplane mode, the apps you have would still try to wake up every now and then to try and refresh themselves. If you have a resource hungry app then it will wake your device to do the task it needs to perform. It may or may not be go weather app but there is something installed on ur phone that is keeping it awake even on standby. That's what I think anyway.

Ha ha ha ha...looks about the same as my desire. I got one hour battery life on idle once with 3G off, wifi off and most of my user apps killed.
My phones been charging for the last four hours and it hasn't moved from 75%. It dies in ten minutes If I use the data connection when it's discharging.
Ready to go back to @??/€..... hate that but im sick of this battery drain randomly
Ive found a few things to be consistent maybe others can chime in.
With google services. Its not always bad. Recently had everything on and no issues. Including gps, Google now, location services etc.
I have found out to last more than a work day. Come home with 45-50%
But today..... Phone just restarted randomly, not the first time either. Usually there is an update for something and the phone restarts to update an app or whatever.
Today, just restart. Then 40 min to 1 hour later. Phone is getting HOT, I look and I had gone from 70% batt to 56 in minutes. Then to 40 then 15 and all the way to 2%
I wanted it to shut down on its own and restart it with a charge but, I had to drive home and car isnt 100% reliable and I didnt have a car charger. So I plugged it into pc to get a few % up.
Google plus went rogue I guess. As you'll see below. But why? And why doesn't @??/€ have this problem?
I just want the phone to last a full day. I dont even use it at work hardly at all with the exception of a bit of tapatalk and facebook......
Screen shots below for help.

Not to state the obvious, but have you considered freezing or uninstalling Google Plus?
Also, check out the link in my signature about keeping Google Services in check.
I forgot to mention that I'm on 4.2 .2 . In addition I didn't do anything to the song, I did not force stop loss, nothing. And everything is back to normal today

When I go to sleep I usually listen to music. Sometimes I even fall asleep with music on.
I had an LG Optimus 4x hd and I did the same thing, but last Saturday I bought this phone and when I played music I had a HUGE battery drain, maybe the phone doesn't go to deep sleep... I started to listen to music at 100% and when I woke up it was at 70%.
I installed wake lock and I got this screenshot:

Can someone help me out here? Or does somebody have this problem too?
I'm on lollipop rooted stock rom. I have all my music in the Google play music "cloud" thing and I download a few playlists to my sdcard.

I have an HTC M8, and I find Google Play music to be a humongous battery drainer, even if the app is just open and I'm not listening to any music at all - it shows me that with the screen off, up to 70% of the battery drain is it's fault.
I noticed that when I leave wifi on all the time, it drains battery horribly. left idling for 23 hours, it drained the battery 30 percent doing nothing. if i set wifi to only always on when charging, it'll drain maybe 10 percent or so.
I noticed it's just this tablet. my nexus 7s never had such wifi drain. I want to leave it on because i hate that upon wake, when it has to turn wifi back on, it's so laggy for a bit because everything is syncing. kinda annoying.
anyone else notice this?
A bit of reading for you.

Install the free Juice Defender, you cannot edit profiles in the free version, so just install it and turn it on, and forget about it and let it do it`s magic

well what I meant to say was it doesn't kill battery on my note 4 or my LG g2 like this. it's like, specifically this tablet.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 using Tapatalk.
my wifi is always on and battery doesnt drain at all.. better than my s6 edge smartphone and i dont even have root since i have the 807v (vzw lte version of galaxy tab s)
Sent from my SM-G925V using XDA Free mobile app
Even though your wifi might be enabled all the time, maybe it`s not being used as much, maybe some apps or settings, stop wifi from sleeping or you could have a wifi noisy environment meaning the wifi transmitter has to use a stronger signal to break though the noise, meaning more power is used.
Lots of maybe, I dont really know, it`s just a guess.

Nothing out of the ordinary
Hi. I'm a long time Cloudy rom user since G2. but with the lollipop ROM of G3 I notice huge battery drain in standby mode. (during sleep) Location settings off. Wifi all night on. Problem is with Radio Signal. (I get poor reception to my room. but G2 was able to withstand all night with only 1% battery drain, but G3 drains 20% just for a night. I have attached screenshots of my battery usage only in one night. Gsam battery monitor. Please if anyone is aware about my issue let me know. Thank you

Haha i see you are from srilanka as well .. well tbh buddy i pretty much had the same issue. i live ln pepiliyana & for some ****ed up reason my room has very bad signal reception. i always wake up to a half dead battery . it seems like g3 struggles alot internally to keep the radio signals stable than the g2. you could even say g2 has better radio strength than the g3 . on top of that when im at college in kolpiti i get a full day of battery -_- ..
*** small thing i noticed though... after installing a good asop rom and doing the thermal mod my phone stays a little better compared to cloudy 2.5 ( thats just my idea though) :silly::silly::silly::silly::silly::silly::silly:
Try fulmics or NovaStock 5.5 rom. NovaStock 5.5 ve awesome battery life give it a try.
