Anyone having trouble with Viper since the December patch? Doesn't seem to work consistently i have to keep closing it and reopening it.
Seems to stop when changing songs also :/
Unless I'm doing something wrong

It's been working fine for me. Which version do you have installed?
I installed the material APK one from xda labs. Which one are you using?

i can also confirm V4A works great on the december patch using the magisk module. FYI - I had to reinstall the module when I updated to the latest V4A, this morning. Otherwise, it works great.

V4A FX is what I used and had to reinstall. I did not use the XDA Labs version and never have. Magisk module has been running great.

The app says that your phone is rooted, I don't know what it does with that information but I used xposed and rootcloak and added the T-Mobile app and it no longer says my phone is rooted.

Yes but this is a module for JUST the t mobile my account app. Some people don't use or want to use RootCloak. I could even patch the apk directly.

Probably not, since I've barely seen phones which were able to do that out of the box. (Without rooting).

I'm having no luck with this app. For those who got it to work; what was your setting in the app and which version of android are you on.
I'm using "automatic call recorder" and it's working flawlessly. Just change the file format to 3gp and it works great on the m8.

It was recently updated to support HTC One m8.
So choose HTC One m8 as device in settings/recording.
Here are mine:
Can confirm that working well on my M8, android 4.4.4, viper rom, rooted.
Tried Record Mode 21(root), 22(root), 23(root), and all work well, see no difference. Sound is pretty loud and clear on both sides, with very little distortion and background noises. Very very good, 8/10.

Everything works: only tested on XT1032 but should work on others too, tell in this thread if your device is supported. (Currently bugs are HDR on GPe and slowmotion on CM11 and GPe too...)

I then flashed a different upgraded camera zip and it brought a camera back

Would be interested in this as well but don't know where to start
I think that some custom ROMs uses the black version on the OP5. Shouldn't be hard to find the dark boot animation and replace it using root.

We have tried several times even on this Nov update but the system/product folder where the bootanimation.zip lies will not mount r/w so we cant swap out any of the files for some reason.

FYI, just tried flashing through TWRP (perma, not boot), and didn't work... Really strange...
Also, since Google is all going black now for app themes since it can save battery, they should use a black boot animation lol

So when I get a chance tomorrow or the next I'm going to take the product.img from the factory images and replace the boot animation with the black version. I'll upload it to AFH when I confirm it works. If you guys have any requests afterwards I'll look into it, just got to get the img mounted first in Ubuntu

What I did was used MidnightCore to install the black stock animation. It will be in /data/adb/magisk_simple/system/media/ and then moved it to the proper folder.

So what steps are needed to get the black boot animation?

So what do we do with that .zip file? The MidnightCore module does appear to work and downloads the appropriate animation desired but then it still boots white.
