Could we hide the Google search bar in pixel launcher today? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, everyone. I really like the design of original Android pie, I am using Havoc OS 2.0 which is a wonderful rom. Swap up on home button and switch apps is very attractive to me. But there is only one problem, The Google search, I am from mainland China and it's unconvinced for me to use this app, and to be honest I don't like this design that much either, so I wonder is there any way to hide Google search bar in the bottom? I tried disable Google app. But search bar is still in the bottom and when I touch it I went to the app information page of Google. The other third launchers aren't smooth as pixel launcher. :crying:
Could you please give me any suggestions? Thanks.

I couldn't find this in my phone. Maybe we are using different systems.

An interesting idea for ' ICS navigation. *pics included*

So here's my idea for fullscreen navigation. I think it's a pretty good one, but I would appreciate some feedback.
The idea comes from the days of using my old ipod touch. There was a jailbreak program called SBSettings, where one would swipe across the 'status bar' and a menu would pop up regardless of what program you were using.
So my idea is the following. Set up a transparent, completely invisible, 'field' at the bottom of the screen. Once this field is broken by a swipe, the appropriate action is executed. Here's some pictures of what I mean. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the crappy title of the post, I hit enter on accident and submitted my post prematurely.

I don't know. I use nova launcher, but not prime. I haven't really checked out the gestures.
LMT Launcher
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Novel idea, might do a good job at getting around the problem that navbar replacements that depend on an overlay (button savior, lmt's pie launcher) have with interfering with the UI.
However, LMT's gestures are better solution, imo. Once you get rid of the navbar, why build your new model on the assumption that this is the physical place on the screen where these actions are triggered? A sufficiently unmistakable gesture pattern embraces the idea that you want to execute a function and not have part of the screen tied to it. Once you take away the visual component you depend on the idea that the user knows what they are doing from memory, not intuition, in which case tying an action to a location is unnecessary.
The idea will probably be well received here on XDA, but the general public (mom, dad, uncle, sister) will not get it. Simplicity wins usually, unfortunately.

Is it supposed to allow it to display the "Say 'Ok Google'" in the top? Or did I miss something?
I know that it was thought to be a Nexus 5 only thing with the 800, but I notice in people's screenshots it at least displays it. Mine just shows a hollowed out mic icon.
EDIT: Nevermind, I updated my English pack in the Voice Typing and that actually brought it up.
Hey but this launcher made icons larger.. which looks.. erh bad

Thank you ... But why the size for widget is not correct? And why the pixels for apps is big ? Not sharp as original launcher.

Mine is simple right now.
Nova Launcher Prime, Zooper Widgets and Moonshine Icons.
Felt like changing it up just a bit. Still keeping it simple. (I do have a page to the left and right of the home screen with a few widgets on them. Weather, Google Search, etc..)
Did not go too crazy on the home screen setup this time but i got BlinkFeed running with flipboard and a few folders (School, work, games, etc)

All permissions are added, but you can not add a location. It's probably related to Chrome, I've turned off this browser because I'm using a different one
that's great and GPS and everything worked fine on mine (stock XT1925-6 on 8.0.0)
I had a version of Command Center on my Moto G4 Plus running Android 7, but it wouldn't work on my new Moto G7 Power running Pie. I had searched a couple of weeks ago for one that would but came up empty. I found this today, and it works like a charm. Thanks.
Is it secure
Is this app safe and secure, it came up as Trojan on security scanner on my xiaomi cc9

you can test, i send you apk
Thanks so much. I downloaded the OPPO one and fail. I couldn't get the translator to work. I will try yours later. I'm away from OOS at the moment.
That's interesting, I would also try the COS sidebar on OOS12
...but what else needs to be done to get it work, installing only the APK won't be enough
That's what I can't figure out if the sidebar is only for COS or can it be used on any ROM together with its features. I'm gonna reach out to OnePlus COS forum and see if I get any answers. I will share what I collect.
Try the Play Store app "Everywhere Launcher". Let's you create and configure numerous sidebars and their launch actions.

Most of the apps used within the sidebar are based on Color OS and Breeno. I got rid of this phone already.
