I have v7.8 and also don't see it there, but from that article mentioned above:
The feature will eventually roll out to users, but we don’t know when. We recommend you sign up for the beta program from the Google Play Store. We’ll let you know when the clipboard manager feature rolls out, though.

So is again probably a server side switch.

Mine seems totally random. It's not sorted by anything.
Not to sound like a jerk but do a search. This was posted recently and discussed before. I don't remember the reg path off the top of my head.

I second smarttoolkit ( www.e-natives.com) . I wish M$ would pay him to license his start menu for when WM7 comes out. Instead of that crappy Grid or List View start menu
for sure. it's a great program/app. i've never had any issues w/ slowness because of it either. plus, the app closer is key to have that handy.

Never heard of the app closer key. Can you elaborate? If you're talking about the right soft-key to close applications for the smarttoolkit app then i understand what you're talking about. But if you're referring to a different program, please share.
And BTW, to the original thread creator, The smarttooklit organizes the start menu in alphabetical order with anything in folder form to come up first. But you can also pin favorite programs to the quick launch section of the start menu which are the first 6 programs that pull up on the left-hand side. You just have to navigate through your start menu, press the right soft key select " pin to quick launch" and select which launcher number you want to assign the program to.
on the right side, i have a task button, if you click it, open programs appear & you can close them.
I used to be able to cut and paste in my Touch pro within sms or between sms and email.
With TP2, I am having problems. It seems that this is dis-enable. Wonder if others have similiar problems or I am missing something...
Thanks.
You can't cut&paste unless you can select text. To select text in the WinMo messaging app, click "Menu" (right soft key) and "Select text". You may now use copy&paste functions via click and hold or just Ctrl+C or Ctrl+V
you can also hold shift and use the arrow keys or in some applications tap and drag.

Anyone know how to open the phone screen without pressing the talk/send button? I cannot find a way like you can on the Wing. I am unable to push the hardware buttons due to my severe physical disability (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Thanks in advance for any help!

I've never had a problem opening the screen. I usually slide it open using two hands, both thumbs on the edge of the phone. My thumbs go to the center, so I never press the phone button. That's my personal experience.
I never use that tilt-up screen on it, lol. I have no need for that tilt thing.
perhaps your operator can supply you with a special dialling wand?

Oh, he's cool. Yea, he's a true badass. How hilarious.
Maybe someone could create an app? Something I can add to Start menu or Programs tab.
Sliding the phone open is not an option. It has to be touch activation.
On the Wing "phone" was a program in the start menu that brought up the dialing pad.

Ohhh, I thought you meant slide the screen open, lol.
Hmm, they don't have a shortcut for the phone, anywhere. But, it should be possible to create a shortcut. Lemme visit the file exporer for a few minutes...
You can add Phone to the start menu...
SOLUTION
Create a shortcut:
Go to the File Explorer
Navigate to the \Windows directory on your Device Memory
Scroll down to the file name, "cprog" (use the scrollbar, since kinetic scrolling is too slow)
Right click it, and click copy
Now scroll to the top of that list (use the scrollbar again)
Open the Start Menu folder (your filepath should be \Windows\Start Menu now)
Right click in the empty space, and then click "Paste Shortcut"
Now right click the "Shortcut to cprog" file, and click Rename, so that you can give it a more personable title
Now it's in your Start Menu! You can also add it to your Programs tab on TouchFlo.
Only problem is that there's no icon, but it works, right! (I'll read what was just posted...Beat you to the answer, Leanne, lol)
THANK YOU! Thanks for the solution, worked perfectly. I love my TP2 even more now!
When using OfficeSuite with the QuickSpell package installed, a misspelled word gets the red squiggly line underneath, but I don't see any way to get alternate or suggested spellings.
Anyone know how to do this?

Really? Bummer. The interaction design leads the user to think that if they tap or long press the red squiggly line, that spelling suggestions would be presented. Kinda misleading.
Figured it out - totally by accident....
If you go to a word that is marked as misspelled, you need to:
- tap the word
- select the menu icon (the three dots)
- select "Edit"
- select "Check Spelling"
This opens a sub-pane presenting the app's full spelling functionality.
Works - but this is very buried in the user interface - no where near where a user might expect it, which would be right when you tap the word. This has become a standard convention in Android. Hope the Devs address this.

In the settings menu, there is an option to rearrange the soft touch buttons at the bottom of the device. I've tested out the gesture type nav bar and find it to be less useful than a traditional button array, but of course, individual milage may vary.
However, in the options, there are some additional buttons that can be added. Most notably, a little "crosshair" looking button (which I've stuck conveniently between the "home" circle button and "app switcher" square button. This button opens a little quick drawer with a handful of useful apps, but in not finding a way to edit this list. However, if you download and install the LG Calculator, at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0UKZBoopyRhanNQQzR2V1hTeUU/view?usp=drivesdk, it will automatically be added to this list. Quite handy, if you're using this Qslide drawer.

Thx, Dathaniel!
Any ideea why it looks a little weird?
I mean streched
Here's another handy in that can be added to the Qslide drawer, a web viewer that can pop out like a window:
https://m.cafe.naver.com/ArticleRead.nhn?clubid=23704855&articleid=710459
It should be noted, I had a hell of a time getting this to download. There's a download link at the bottom of the article for the apk. When you click it, it resets you too the top of the page. I just had to keep scrolling down and clicking it, eventually it downloaded. I'll try to post the apk on a friendlier file hosting site tomorrow, if I have time.
It seems like there is also a basic Memo app that can be added, but I'm still digging around on Korean internets for it.

No idea. Mine looks the same though. Functions just fine. In fact, I think that it having the parentheses button is actually a really cool feature.
So, this web viewer
The web viewer I linked is a little funky. Its homepage is the search engine "Naver" which is SK's popular search provider. The language for the browser is Korean, and I'm still digging around for a way to add a translation, or set the default language to English. As it is, searching for Google brings you back to normal, Western internet pretty quick, but I'd like to find a way to set the homepage to Google or something.
I'll let you guys know what I come up with.
Thanks really appreciated!

Boom. Here's a QSlide notepad, which automatically appears in your QSlide Drawer when installed.

I found the QSlide notes app. It was hiding right under my nose.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zero.qslide.notes
Installing this adds qNotes to the qSlide drawer to quickly take notes, which can then be reviewed later in the ordinary QMemo+ app.
Next up, I'm looking for a quick torch, and a map for the qSlide drawer. After taking out the defunct TV app, that will give a complete set of 12 qSlide apps.
Quick Torch
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yoavst.quicktorch
Appears in the qSlide Drawer, helpfully. Unhelpfully, it doesn't illuminate the camera's flash LED, just lights the screen up white.
I miss QVoice floating in qslide
