Hi there,
I tried to install the update on my (NOT rooted - Stock 4.01) Galaxy Nexus in Canada, but I didn't work !
Here is the error :
Update for " Google Play Movies " could not be downloaded due to an error. (941)
Am I the only one having this issue ?
Have you tried clearing app data for Google Play(Market)?

Yes I did ... same thing !
From what I have read is the 941 error means the app isn't available in your country.
Seems like google has been cracking down on installation from non-supported countries with their play services.

Movie rentals *are* supposed to be supported in Canada. Music isn't.

Hello,
I have the App, it is the update that is not downloading...
Thanks
I too am experiencing the same problem... have everything stock, have the Movies app that comes installed, but it simply won't update. Very strange.

Same here " everything stock " - Thanks for your reply at least I know I am not the only one experiencing that issue.
Same problem here. I am using Dorian's RedPill v4 on my Atrix.
This just happened after I did a hard reset with redpill.
I had that same error just a few days ago (before that, I couldn't even find the apps in the play store, because they weren't available in my country, updating through the web store, or opening the link with the store app gave a not available in your country reasoning)
Then, a few days ago I suddenly found the apps in the play store without the country specification. This is where I got the same error as you are reporting.
Then the day before yesterday, after the G+ post about what people are reading on the play books store (which comment section consisted for 95% about complaints that play books is not available in the commenters country) Later that day,the apps had no mention about country specification (also even though they came pre-installed on my Gnex, they were never listed under my apps before, they were for the first time now under my apps) and I updated them asap, before something would happen.

I got a VZW Galaxy Nexus a few days ago, I haven't rooted it or unlocked the bootloader yet.
The play store works on my phone and my device DID show up on the play store website yesterday, but I was following the instructions in this thread to try to force the 4.0.4 update so I cleared the data in the Google Frameworks app.
Since then my phone won't show up in the play store, I read through all the reasons why it might not, and from what I can tell, it should.
I'm on the same google account.
I have used the play store app on my phone, I even downloaded a new app.
My old phone still shows up, but I took the SIM card out of that, and traded it in for a micro SIM, and then I flashed a new ROM on my old Revolution so I could sell it, and it hasn't been connected to any source of data since then.
Also yesterday my Nexus and Revolution were showing up in the play store?
Any suggestions?
Install just one app from the play store from device and it should resync your info.
good day.

I tried that and it still doesn't show up.
I also cleared the cache in my browser.
Thanks for responding though.

I did that too. I cleared the cache/data and force stopped it. I had to resign in and everything.
Still nothing.
I'm not exactly sure what did it, but it shows up now.
Thanks for your suggestions, I'll just be waiting for the OTA update to find me.
I just noticed the same issue with mine, but I haven't been able to get it to show up yet. Any idea what changed?

I read on the play store website that it can take some time, for me it ended up being about a half a day.
Just make sure you download something from the play store app on your phone, and it should show up.

I had the same issue... I had cleared the data for Google Services Framework and my Nexus disappeared from the play store.
To fix it I cleared the data for Google Play Store, then downloaded an app from the phone. Worked like a charm.
Thanks guys!
Hello folks,
I am trying to update my apps from play store on my gen 1 fire tv but instead of animating the progress bar I see a message there saying download pending. This is the first time it has happened to me and I have had the play store installed since I got my fire tv.
I tried removing and reinstalling playstore and play services but got the same message.
Is anyone else facing a similar situation?

Hey, sorry for posting here but I got the exact same issue on my Xiaomi Redmi 2. Did you ever figure out how to fix this?
No unfortunately not yet.

I too have this problem and it only started recently. At first (over a year ago) you had to remove play services because when it updated it broke the playstore but you could still download apps and they would work, just not the ones that need play services (YouTube etc.). Now its doing that same thing with play services removed and market helper does nothing to remedy it.

still works on my mxiii.
I got my Honor 8 Pro exactly 1 week ago and just yesterday I started having this issue where I'm not able to download and update apps from the Play Store.
When I click 'install' button it says downloading but nothing really happens. I have tried clearing the cache & data, restarted the phone and all sorts of things, but it doesn't seem to work.
Anyone else having this problem?
__________
EDIT:
Issue fixed : uninstall truecaller, use Honor 8 Pro's stock Launcher and restart phone. No idea why this happens but at least it's fixed.
Maybe your Google Play Services just received an update. That's what happens when it updates.

Tapzo was the culprit app, had to delete it and clear cache etc, started working ok now.
This might help:
Go to settings - Advance settings - Backup and Reset- Network settings reset
Should resume downloads.
In some cases, uninstalling truecaller and/or tapzo might help
What worked for me was uninstalling Play Store, and downloading the latest Google Play Services and Play Store apks from apkmirror.

Yes this works for me all time
Uninstalling truecaller and rebooting the phone indeed worked, but on installing truecaller again the playstore install/update issue is back.
Any one has a better solution? I'm not able to use truecaller and playstore together.

Temporary solution after lots of logs sent to R&D team.
Go to Settings- battery - lock screen clean up.
Untick all apps (Close all option must be greyed out).
Switch on Airplane Mode for 15 seconds . Turn it off.
Turn on WiFi and downloads should resume automatically .
The issue got resolved after B140 update. No more apps update/download pending issue.
So they were able to fix it.
Have you tried clearing the Cache files in the internal storage and rebooting your device? Sometimes that will solve your issue.
I have and always have had my Play Store app settings to manual update, but I've just woken up to find the setting has changed to update over wifi and every app updated. The update happened 5 hours ago, but I went to bed 7 hours ago.
How the hell did this change?! I haven't even opened the Play Store for two or three days, so there's no way I could've changed the settings by accident. The only app I've updated in the last week is the camera and did that via an apkmirror download to get the new version as mine hadn't updated since May 2018 for some reason...
Because Google has ultimate control over your phone and can add /remove apps at their discretion.
Most likely you experienced a security update.
Either that or the latest Google Play Store that just came out. Just turn it off and it'll probably start off again. I prefer on because I love updates. LOL

I've noticed that this setting changes occasionally when the Play Store updates itself. I don't think the Play Store itself can be set to manual update.
